Please hire more staff, when someone makes an appt. whether its a big job or small, you should go in the order of when the job is scheduled, seeing how you have had to reschedule our service more than once, im guessing you do not have enough staff to handle the amount of work coming in. KUDOS to David and Rafael! We recently had to reach out to Fire & Ice for their assistance in resolving an issue with our air conditioner when it decided to stop working. David paid us a visit mid-week and was able to diagnose and repair the issue, as well as perform our annual service (which I had lagged on earlier in the year). We were happy to have our functioning air conditioner again. Sadly though, our joy was short lived when our downstairs neighbor informed us that our AC was leaking into his apartment. The next day, Rafael paid us a visit to investigate the reported issue. He determined that we had a clogged condenser line which he worked diligently to resolve to no avail. This week, David returned to complete the scheduled maintenance on our unit, cleaning the blower and coil. In addition, David was able to resolve the issue with the clogged line. Our A/C went out and we called ASI (who installed it) to come take a look. After about two hours the gentleman said that the part would be about $3000 but we should actually get a new system. I wanted a second opinion so I was recommended fire and ice, heating and air conditioning by a Neighbor. Joe arrived promptly at the time he said he would, and within FIVE minutes of looking at our system, was able to diagnose it, and actually fix it! He was so knowledgeable and explain to me everything that was happening with the system. He verified that it worked, and he checked the temperatures and made sure that everything was perfect before he left. I am SO happy that Joe was able to come out and help us! I requested a check-up on my air and heat system. I was having a problem with a weird noise and the system didn't seem to cool right. The tech spent about 10 or 15 mins. here. He said everything was fine. Either $99.00 or $129.00 (can't remember which) please. I said did you clean the A/C unit outside. No. That service would cost you about $400.00. I told him that was what I asked for along with my remote to be reset. No we can't do that remote stuff. Check your manual. To save money go outside with the hose and rinse off the unit. The girls in the office don't know what they are scheduling. So my AC unit isn't fine. I am out the money. And it is hot. I am embarrassed to say that was the third time I had used that company. The first time was okay. The second time awful. And now Three strikes you are OUT ! I was referred by my friend. I should have known. She can't pick restaurants either. read more

Had a capacitor issue with our AC. When I called they said they couldn't get to me for about 5 days. my home warranty sadly sent my AC outage to them. DO NOT call if you want it done right or appt set timely. First they installed my new ac unit - installed on original pad that was 3 x too small for the unit - only fixed after i called. Now only 2 months into new unit already quit working and is clogged. My warranty company sent a different company out and they found the indoor unit A/H was installed on original return so was told will keep clogging until is fixed - plus did not install a drain. Then after my call got reassigned to them they did not even come out to fix!! still UNRESOLVED plus the girls in office are SO RUDE!!!!! My father had been using the services of this company for several years. They always treated him well, and fixed his old split level AC in his condo. Well, the time came for me to replace this unit, and I wanted these guys to do the work. Got a quote same day from Justin and Cathy on Friday. Awesome awareness and helpfulness. No hard sell at all. I had to ask about upgrading my thermostat from the base, and Justin was great enough to steer me in a better direction than which I was asking. Three days later, yesterday, I had a 4 man crew on site replacing the unit. I don't live in the unit, so these guys were left to themselves to get the job done. Well, I came down to check unannounced in the later afternoon. Quick knock and walk, and there was Raphael, the crew foreman/spokesman up in the crawl space installing the new unit. It was great to see them where they were supposed to be, doing there jobs. Checked the work this morning. Couldn't be any happier. Apartment got cold super fast, and the place warmed up just as quick. Very happy with the easy to use thermostat too. 1 day in and out, and they were clean. The ac went out at my business, so I called a company tht I've used in the past. They told me my whole system needed to be replaced and they would send me a quote. Still waiting several days later, I decided I'd give Fire & Ice a call. The nice young lady that answered the phone said it would probably be the following morning before someone would come out, but she would let me know if someone could make it that same day. A couple of hours later, a big red truck pulled up. A guy named Joe checked it out and noticed that the company that told me I needed a new unit had recently replaced the blower motor and it wasn't wired into the unit properly along with a couple of other minor problems that he fixed. Sunday the inland empires 1st hot day I turned AC on while I was working in house. kept getting hotter and hotter. My husband of 50 years was turning it off every time I turned it on. My unit as installed by Fire & Ice and we have only had two issues with it . We had to get a service for cleaning and this one. But $19.00 for a car fuse for low voltage . I know some parts are expensive but this too much. It took him less then 15 min to fix it but 2X $79.00 or the call is a bit much. ASI would have done it for $65.00. I wanted to take the time to write this review of Joe T.'s visit today. I also posted this same review on yelp as I feel very strongly about giving good reviews when folks are professional, hardworking and deserving of praise. I am a tenant of a rental home in La Mesa, our property manager scheduled the visit for today. Fire and Ice called me yesterday to ask me what time would be best, who was also a very nice and professional young lady on the phone. We agreed on a 12-2pm time slot for today. Not only was Joe early to the appointment but he arrived with all the Covid precautions, mask, distance, etc. and he took his time to assess the situation. He is extremely knowledgeable and more so very professional in how he communicated to me what he saw, what he was going to do and he even taught me how these floor furnaces work. Within minutes he diagnosed the issue, went through the crawl space and again showed me what the issue was and explained how he was going to fix it. Joe T. fixed the issue and within 20 minutes of him arriving the furnace was working and problem solved. Again before leaving Joe T. took the time to summarize what he did and explain everything to myself and my wife, who had even more questions for him. I can't stress enough how professional, efficient and considerate Joe T. was during his visit today. This speaks volume of the company he represents and of Joe T. as an individual. We live in a house that was built in 1929....so we are always fixing the damn thing. So last winter, Paul was in the shower and I turned on our floor heater to warm up the house. After about 10 minutes it was as if the flue was not open in our fireplace, because the house started filling with smoke. Then I realized...WE DON"T HAVE A FIREPLACE!!! The under side of our house was smoking. After I stopped screaming we called Fire & Ice to install a forced air gas heater in our house. We could not have been happier. I had used fire and ice for years and was happy with there service. I use them for both my business and home. For the past year there service has done a 180. I have to recall them a NUMBER of times to fix the same problem at both my home and business in which was not fixed correctly the first time. Each time the tech came I was charged a very high amount to fix the same problem. I tried to call the owner a few times but got no return call. My last experience with them was a good example. I had called them out to fix my commercial heater and it required two service calls and hundreds of dollars, I still had problems with the heater. I called a new company and had the problem fixed for less than a hundred $100.00. There are many good companies that do solid work for a fair price.
