Trevor came out to do a inspection on my unit. What I sincerely liked about Trevor is you can tell he is passionate about doing everything the right way and not being lazy. I thought our AC unit failed. Had a company out for a tune up about two years ago, which didn't do much. They never checked the condensation drip line (which I didn't know anything about). I thought I was going to have to replace the system. Laurence from Allegiance came out and quickly identified the condensation line was completely clogged. He replaced the pipe, checked all aspects of the unit, and now we have cold air again. Super friendly, completed everything in about an hour, and explained everything as he did it. Garbage. First off, They sold the previous owner a 2 ton unit, when it should've been a 2.5 ton, and they didn't remove the old air handler from the attic. The old unit is still there and wasn't removed. Thanks for that, I'll take care of it! It is only a max 8-10 degree split and takes 4 hours to heat from 68 to 70. 4 hours to cool from 78 to 76. No insulation issues in my house. Anyone in the HVAC industry knows that's laughable. I bought the house in Feb 2024 after they had just installed a brand new condenser and air handler 410a in December 2023, the compressor for months now sounds like a jet engine when it is on and running, (on heat or cold) and I'm getting complaints from the HOA and neighbors now. Thanks for that. No HERS test or permit was required so it was half assed for sure. I called them 6 months ago while it was still under warranty, to come out and take a look at the system, (as I work in the industry and have for 25 year), and they told me its not efficient because my ducting is not insulated, that's why I'm getting a 8-10 degree split. Great....... That should have been noticed by the sales person who sold the previous owner this system. Because it wouldn't work efficiently unless they added that cost/ to install insulation, but they cut corners for some reason?? Even the technicians who came out 6 months ago agreed with me. Why wouldn't you insulate the duct with the install price? Maybe you want your systems to work inefficiently? Lastly, the funniest thing, is that I received a call from them right after my year warranty expired asking me if I was interested in a preventative maintenance on my unit and they wanted to charge me for it. No thanks, I can change the filter, clean the coils and add tabs in the condensate pan, etc.. all good thanks though. Luckily I know PacRim and other big HVAC companies that have been doing quality work for me for years, so I have people to correct this issue properly and I trust them to do so. I suggest that allegiance do things correctly the first time next time so this doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, our 30 year old AC had a leak and flooded our attic and created water damage in our bathroom ceiling. Due to the age and state of our AC, it needed to be replaced. I'm such an AC princess and hate the heat, so the thought of going any length of time without AC in the latest heat wave was a miserable thought. Allegiance expedited things so quickly, between a same day house call, next day financing, and a within 2 day install (we did end up having to wait an extra 2 days once they looked at the water damage to let it dry out before the install so no mold would grow). Michael, who came out for the house call, was super knowledgeable, extremely friendly and very personable. Eddie the install technician was so thorough and accommodating. We have a home with 5 pets and one is an escape artist. He and the other technician (I think his name was Brandon) were very on top of keeping the door shut when going in and out so we didn't lose any of our furry family members. He also, suggested moving our thermostat from the current location to more efficient and easier location for us to access. I don't think this was an extra fee, but it definitely took extra time for them having to relocate the thermostat. They put down fabric runners throughout the house so nothing was damaged or soiled and took my family pictures off the wall so they didn't get broken while moving equipment up and down from the attic. Also, a huge pat on their back for such hard work dealing with the layout of our home and the (pain in the rear) staircase design in our home, it's not easy to navigate with heavy equipment/furniture/etc. Oh and just a side note, the new AC - SO MUCH quieter and efficient now! Needless to say, even though no one is ever looking forward to having to spend money or time on unforeseen house problems, Allegiance Heating & Air Conditioning's team made it as painless as possible. I had to give them a star that they did not deserve. Terrible service as they can't get their business together. I rearranged my schedule for an appointment they never showed up to. You'd think giving a week notice for the appointment and a 4-Hour time slot, they would show up? They called the day prior and tried to force me to take an appointment which I could not. I need to be notified days in advance instead of the same day, since I work and have a busy schedule. My new furnace and A/C work great, and boy am I happy with Allegiance! I used them for years to maintain the old furnace that was original to my house. Finally when it came time to replace the old heating unit and add an A/C for cooling, I went with Allegiance for that too. I did shop around a bit, but found their pricing to be right in line with the other reputable companies. And they have given me such great service over the years, that I felt totally confident making a major purchase with them. Their techs have always been prompt, clean, respectful, and clearly knowledgeable. The office staff is friendly, and it's not hard to get somebody on the phone. They weren't at all pushy about making the sale, and the actual install was very professionally done in just one day. Their crew leader provided excellent communication and coordination with me throughout, and there was minimal disruption to my home. I really appreciated that they listened to my concerns and accommodated everything possible. Be aware that they don't do any drywall or painting that may be needed (we just did some minimal paint around our vents), so plan to take care of that yourself. But everything else is completely handled. These are really nice people, providing a quality product and excellent service. They were very concerned that everything be properly certified and permitted, so I won't have any issues with that down the line. I hadn't thought about it, so I appreciated that they were on top of it. The installers tested that everything was working before they left, and then someone came out to the house several weeks later to do another test and make sure everything was working properly.
