We've been customers for over 13 years. I don't know why I didn't think to write a review until now, perhaps because I've become accustomed to their excellent service! They installedour air conditioning and replaced all the ductwork when we first moved in. We have them come out annually to maintain and check the HVAC unit as temperature regulation is very important to us for medical reasons. As luck would have it, our air conditioner stopped working on a Saturday night. It was very warm and humid and we spent the night tossing and turning next to box fans. I called the emergency after-hours line on Sunday morning and received a prompt return call from Gaylord. He was very reassuring and sent out Pablo, who figured out we needed a new blower motor. Being the weekend, we wouldn't be able to know if the part was available until Monday. Before 8 AM Monday, Gaylord called me to let me know the part was in stock and Mike was on his way to install it. The entire job was done by 10 AM. Argubly one of the worst service companies I've ever dealt with in many, many years. My gas furnace was flooded during the January 22, 2024 rain storm. Based upon a recommendation in Coronado that this was a quality company, I contacted Aireforce Heating to service my water damaged furnace. The earliest available appointment was January 30th, which I felt was reasonable considering I was a new customer. The service technician came to my house, surveyed the damage, and was able to get the furnace running again within an hour or so upon his arrival. He stated that some water and debris remained in the furnace and needed to be wet vacuumed along with 10 feet of ductwork replaced. In the meantime, the furnace must remain 'off' (I.e., no heat, winter time). I soon learned the earliest the second technician could come out was 2-weeks later, February 15th. This technician also seemed highly competent and replaced the 10' of ductwork, wet vacuumed the heat exchanger, but when he tried turning on the furnace an electric motor that was working 2-weeks earlier no longer worked. He said he would order a new motor, which would take a day or two to receive and an hour to install. After a week passed, I called to see when they would be finishing the work. They were unable to give me a schedule. I finally received a call on Monday, February 26th saying they 'wound like to put me on their schedule'. They asked 'how does Thursday, February 29th look (a month after originally scheduling with them and being without heat)?' I replied that we we're leaving Coronado to Arizona on Thursday morning and will be gone until early June, 'could you please finish the job today , Tuesday, or Wednesday (One hour of work to restore my heating system). Their reply was 'when in June would you like to schedule completion?' After waiting a month for the work to be completed, I can't in good conscience recommend this company to anyone! read more

They get booked up, because their prices are also very competitive, so make sure you plan on advance so you're not waiting in the San Diego heatwave! Update: One of our A/C units stopped working suddenly two years after installation in the middle of the heat wave. I called Aireforce and talked to Michelle. She was very helpful and arranged for a technician to come next day. It turned out that the fuse went bad, which was easily remedied. I wanted to thank Gaylord, the service technician, for quickly fixing the problem and Michelle for providing excellent customer service. I'd highly recommend this company. read more

My wife and I just had our solar panels installed on the house at the end of summer. We accounted for how much air condition we would use but this was going on the assumption of how much we've already used since the time we purchased this house. We didn't use the Air Condition much since it was towards the end of summer but that's where we miscalculated. We noticed how much energy was used through our solar panel readings and the SDGE evaluation showed my air condition system taking up approximately 60-70% of my energy usage being that my system was over 30 years old (Yikes!!!). If I didn't upgrade my HVAC system, then the solar panels would be a waste. During our biweekly visit to Costco, we were stopped by the Lennox representative who outsources their installation through Anderson Heating & Air. If we went through Costco, we would get a good price on equipment, install, warranty and cash back with a Costco rebate. We scheduled an estimate with Anderson Heating & Air and their quote included a Lennox XC25 Air Condition (Lennox's best and most efficient AC unit), an SL280V Variable Gas Furnace (Lennox's second best and most quietest furnace), an iComfort Programmable WiFi Thermostat and Temperature Control System, new registers, new ducts and a new condensate line to the side of the house. The quote I received was over $16,000. This was a few thousand more than I had planned so I needed another company to compare them to. I contacted the only other licensed re-seller of Lennox systems and it was Air Force Heating & Air. I spoke with David and told him what I was looking for. Dave was kind enough to come to my house on his day off (Saturday) to give me an estimate since I was pressed for time on making a decision. I explained that I wanted the most energy efficient system possible and that I was willing to pay the price to do so. Dave not only beat the Anderson Heating and Air quote, but he did so significantly! And to top it all off, Dave also took care of processing all the rebates I was eligible for. We scheduled the install to happen in between Christmas and New Year eve. Scott and team arrived Monday morning and they were extremely courteous about entering my home, where they needed to work and even making sure my dog was ok since she was fenced in my other living room. Scott kept me informed of what he was doing and that the install would take 2 days to do. He made it a point to install the furnace and have it functioning on day 1 since it was getting pretty cold at nights. The installation was a breeze, the entire HVAC system is brand new and I am extremely happy with the decision I made to go with a Lennox system from AirForce Heating and Air. Now I sit in the comfort of my home with the most advanced heating and air condition system possible. The Lennox system is super quiet, extremely efficient and the touch screen temperature control looks and functions great! read more

Our AC decided to break down Thursday night right before a weekend of near 100 degree temperatures. I called Aireforce Heating and Air and they scheduled me for Monday. I expected to spend the weekend in a hot house but I got a call from Jessica on Friday afternoon that Mike could come out and take a look at the AC before the end of the day. I said yes and immediately headed home from work. My wife greeted him and told him what happened. He took a look at the thermostat and the compressor and found out it was a blown capacitor. He had a new part with him, a quick change out and we have AC again for the weekend. Woot! Mike was professional and courteous the whole time and gave us some tips on keeping the AC running well. They were AWESOME!!! During their initial inspection of our 1946 home to install A/C they found asbestos, and an under-qualified electrical system. (They recommended an electrical contractor who was also five-star quality.) Aire-Force (Jason) kept in touch with the electrical contractor throughout the upgrades, and Aire-Force showed up to begin the installation the day after the electrical was completed. We didn't have to schedule them ourselves, or wait for the installation. The installers were very friendly and professional. They did an amazing job of cleaning up each day, and took the time to update us on the progress. They always arrived on time, and finished as scheduled, even in 103 degree heat, and having to work in the attic. We couldn't be happier with our new A/C. read more

Now that it's installed, we can see how much quieter and more comfortable our home is, thanks to some recommended changes from Dave, who taught us why our old system left something to be desired the day he inspected things to work up the bid. Our installers, Sean and Nick, couldn't have been friendlier, more punctual, neater, knowledgeable, or careful. One other important selling point: their salesman does NOT work on commission; he just wants to install what is needed, not what earns him the biggest check! My house in Otay Ranch is a little over 4 years old. One day, while running the A/C I noticed water running down the outside wall coming from the emergency drain in the attic. I contacted the builder but they informed me that my home warranty was expired. They referred me to AIRE FORCE because they were awarded the contract to install all the A/C units in our subdivision. When the technician came out he informed me there was a cracked water tray inside the unit and they would replace it for free but only charge me for labor. He also informed me that this problem was common and they were replacing a lot of these trays in Otay Ranch. I felt this was an issue and requested that a manager contact me. He called me back and told me that it would be around $500 but no more than that. I told him I thought the price was kind of steep since the builder already paid them to install the units and now AIRE FORCE is charging the homeowners to replace the faulty parts they installed. He advised me the reason for the price is because it was going to be a 2 man job and it could take up to 4 hours to complete. But if they finished early he wouldn't charge me the full amount. About 2 weeks later they came out with the new tray (which was free). One technician went up in the attic and the 2nd guy just stood on the ladder and watched. They were in and out in about 90 minutes not the original 4 hours. They charged me $440 for the job only knocking off 60 bucks. I still feel the price was unfair and that AIRE FORCE is gouging the customer. I didn't expect them to do the job for free but maybe meet me half way. Especially since the builder is referring people to AIRE FORCE instead of another company. If you call them the initial visit is $100 so already they have you over a barrel if afterward you then decide to call another company. So you just gave them a nice tip for installing the faulty tray. If they're willing to guarantee the tray then they should at least meet you half way for the labor as well. Especially since they were already paid for the installation. read more

aireforce heating & air is a company you can trust.  it is the only company out of the five companies i contacted about replacing my ac that suggested i pay $100 for a 1 hour diagnostic review of my old ac before jumping in to buy a brand new unit.  they even offered to deduct the $100 diagnostic fee from the cost of a new ac from their company if i decided i didn't want to repair the old ac.  this was the best advice i received from anyone and the money was very well spent as the problem was simply a broken part!!!  including the diagnostic fee my total bill from aireforce heating & air was only $250.25 to get my ac running again with a 1 year guarantee on the part and 90 days on the labor!!!  even the cost of a totally new ac with the brand name carrier equipment i wanted with all the appropriate permits was cheaper than any of the other companies i reviewed!!!  from now on aireforce heating & air is the only company i will use to repair or replace my heating and air conditioning.  this third generation family operated company values honesty to the potential client over making money.  jason dixon, my estimator, is an excellent representative for everything this company is.  i even asked for company cards to give to my family, friends, and neighbors. read more
