The jalapeño crab bisque had zero crab, almost no jalapeño, it tasted like a can of cheddar cheese soup. Even the Texas Toast wasn't prepared great. I took a trip to Scottsboro and had never really stayed there overnight. My friend enjoys going to these mom and pop type of establishment and not chains which I completely agree with. We stumbled upon this restaurant on yelp. They have a lot of reviews and it was right on the water. I never thought a place like this would have amazing chicken Parmesan, but they did. Our server was Michelle. She had blonde hair and was very attentive. She suggested the chicken Parmesan so me and my friend both got it and we were both very satisfied. We can't have pets inside, but we have plenty of deckspace outside to accommodate them in the fresh air. With our dog happily trotting next to my wife, we quickly found a table with shade and a fine view of the lake. Almost before we could sit down, our thoughtful waitress slid a bowl of clean, fresh water in front of our pet. Needless to say, we felt right at home as the staff went out of their way to put us at ease. Our waitress kept our ice water topped off (it was a warm afternoon) and gave us helpful tips on the menu. My wife loved her shrimp tacos while I enjoyed fried catfish & chips that were perfectly cooked. Our dog was thrilled with his hot dog.
