Everything went well. I usually go to the burnside location and this one was nearby. Gave it a go and Inhave to say, the staff were all really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Served us outside on the patio seatings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food crispy wings and saucy just how I like it.y first time trying the buffalo chicken nachos and instantly became a favorite. The chips gotta be crispy and crunchy. Not oily at all. This was definitely made it to my top list for nachos. Even the chicken was tenderly cooked and sauced just right amount of ratio btwn spicy and tanginess. I usually am not a big fan of Buffalo sauces bc of the overpowering vinegar taste. This Buffalo is the perfect balance. The fried Oreos and fried pickles was a must order and reminds me of fair food. My son got the kids corndog and fries. We realized he never got his drink but that's ok. We will be sure to get that next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance had seatings indoor and outdoor. Very clean and can be a bit cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We like the vibe. I say come in group of 5 or less would be good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hands down, these are the best wings I've ever had. My kid and her beau live in PDX and star by this wing joint, so off we went to dine here one drizzly evening recently. We found street parking right in front of the restaurant, and I immediately noticed the take-out window facing the street, so people can easily pick up thier ordered meals to take-out. Convenient! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant interior was small but clean and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (I am older and have circulation issues, so I was a bit nervous to read other reviews saying that it was cold inside. But it wasn't at all when we were there, thankfully! It was just right). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the casual, hippie-ish decor (oh so Portland-y! Check out my photo of one of the main interior murals depicting Frido Kahlo, Jimi Hendrix and Rosie the Riveter. Is that Jerry Garcia or Barry Gibb in the middle? We debated that!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Placing our orders at the cash was easy. The gal was super nice. I can't eat spicy girls so I hesitated when choosing which sauce to have on the wings; she said I could get a sample of any of them before deciding. I just opted for the sweet barbecue sauce (the only option with zero "stars". My kid and her partner got spicier sauces that they love but would literally kill me lol). We sat at a table and waited a while for our orders to arrive. (It did take a while, but they make it all fresh, and there were quite a few other diners in the restaurant). When our dinners arrived, omg they were SO SO good. My sweet barbecue sauce was delicious: not cloyingly sweet, as some sauces are, and still definitely zingy, but just not spicy-hot. In other words, not boring. Definitely zesty and flavorful. SO so good. And my kid and her partner were "sweating balls", as they say - and loving it! And the wings themselves were cooked perfectly, with a crispy outer skin, not at all greasy, and moist and tender inside. Excellent. And messy good! (The servers were super nice and brought us moist towelettes which were greatly appreciated!).

Wings tasty, service bland. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beer clean, restaurant grimy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You want to sit and sip but they do not turn on the heat so it is too chilly to chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom needs a deep clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They have water bowls for dogs!

We wanted to come here after watching Sam Reid's Quest for the best wings in the US and they are dog friendly so it was the perfect spot for us to grab lunch. I went inside while my boyfriend sat on one of their picnic benches to get a menu and to let them know we would be dining with them. The employees were very friendly and polite. They brought out a huge water bowl for our dogs once we ordered. We got the 6 piece lunch special and 9 piece lunch special which comes with fries (but we asked for tator tots inside) and a drink. They make their lemonade here and it was good but a little too tart for my taste. They have coke products for their drinks but they also offer beer for your lunch special for an extra charge. My boyfriend got their sweet BBQ sauce while I got their spicy Thai peanut and Jamaican Jerk sauces. After a little bit, we got our food and we were surprised by how much they gave us for a lunch special! I got the cajun tator tots and the reviews did not lie: they were absolutely divine! The wings were very tasty and even if they were smaller than your usual wings, they delivered great flavors from the sauce. We were very pleased with the food, service and and overall experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although we didn't dine inside, the inside was clean and spacious and I love the different photos of customers inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was nice and clean as well as well stocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The soda fountain and utensil area was very clean and organized too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely check out Fire on the Mountain!

Straight up chicken sandwich is a little dry for me but the fries is crispy.

We had sandwiches and French fries here. We were able to place order inside and grab water before finding a seat outside for them to bring out the food. The sandwiches are yummy and the fries are crispy. We enjoyed the food here.

This is one of the best wing spots in Portland! The wings are consistently cooked to perfection they're always generous with the sauce. The queso has the perfect thickness to it, not to thick but not to thin either. The people that work here and at any of their locations are always so kind and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance in chill with funny wing art and classic tunes playing in the background that makes it the perfect place to destroy some wings![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Parking-Very limited parking street parking! Food- It was a My Husband first time and, I was super excited to take him there. We got the lunch special 6 wings w/ fries for 13 I got sweet bbq w/ kick...our fries came out first (I absolutely love their fries) piping hot, right amount of salt, and add ketchup and malt vinegar! My wings came out 5-7 minute because I get all flats and fried extra hard! I was so hungry and they were so good they were made perfectly and sauced just right. My husband had lime cilantro w/ medium kick I don't do spicy but, I had ate a few of them it had spicy but, it doesn't linger around! Service-Our cashier was amazing we weren't sure what flavors we wanted a first and, you let us try a few the sauce I tried raspberry habanero but, it was too hot but, real good. I forgot that I wanted all flats but, they were like it's not problem we got you! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience~very clean and, home like feeling it's plenty seating inside and few tables outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Art is very beautiful on the wall and, love the photo that story of how fire under the mountain came about![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely recommend coming to check out the spot especially if you love wings and fries!

Jamaican Jerk Salad with chicken was mighty tasty.

I always have a good time at Fire on the Mountain. The vibe is low key, and the food is good. It's clear everything is made fresh. I always appreciate the broad range of beer styles and their guest cider. It is a smaller location, so it can get a bit crowded at times, but it is overall cozy. I do find the TV with the news running without sound or subtitles a bit confusing, but I suppose all we need is headlines.

More like fire in your mouth ! I love FOTM and they are inarguably my favorite wings in the city but this was my first time at this location . Its small but has a good amount of seating both inside and out . The wings were excellent as usual. One thing that could be better is that for 12 wings you only get two flavors , I feel if they have an option of charging more in lieu of an extra flavor that would be so good . I don't want to get another 12 wings but would love to taste an additional flavor .Pricing is good and beer selection also goes well with the food. The sides are alright and a hit or miss , for us this time the sweet potato fries were not crisp or freshly made . Service is good and friendly .

Shit had no sauce. Sad as fucuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Sad sad sad sad. And why do we tip before service ( in general)...boooo.

Ray Charles and the Golden Chicken. Interstate is the best of the franchise. The original location and the most heart. Stop in. If you get your wings to-go, make sure to get your sauce in the side.

The grilled trout with zarandeado marinade is memorable ... wonderful flavor! The burgers are good, but not necessarily a knock out that stands above other places. I tried their salmon fish and chips. It's the PNW so salmon makes good sense, and I love salmon, but I discovered that the flavor profile of salmon isn't quite right for a battered and fried fish dish like white fish are. I've had only one truly disappointing experience. I had a light appetite so I ordered their Beet and Citrus salad. I declined any protein to be added. For $18 I received a large platter with the salad literally taking up ONE HALF side of the platter as if something else was supposed to be served beside it. The chef could've easily proportionalized the size of the salad and balanced it on the plate so it looked like a complete meal. Instead, what I got almost felt like the chef was telling me that I should've ordered something else with it.

There was a short line forming. The large windows give you a sneak peek at the opulence waiting inside. Upon walking in the main entrance, the first thing I noticed were the chandeliers. The inside is gorgeous. The walls are painted various shades of greens making it bright and gives off a soft and natural feel. Given I was dining solo, I decided to seat at the bar located off to the left. It seats 12 comfortably. A big plus for me are the seats. They had a high back and are super comfortable. I could see sitting for hours gabbing with friends. Nice upbeat electronic music played in the background. Loud enough to hear but soft enough that you can hear who is next to you. I ordered the Omelette du jour - Three egg omelette special with bacon, spinach, caramelized onions, gorgonzola and blue cheese. It was fantastic. The first thing that hit my palate was the blue cheese and caramelized onions. Delicious combination. I was happy to see that the omelette was overflowing with caramelized onions as I love them. The accompanying roasted potatoes were cooked perfectly. I also got an espresso martini to wake me up and give me a buzz to start my day. Upon first impression, if I lived in Portland, I would come here weekly. I could see this being the place for brunch with girlfriends to catch up over cocktails.
