Friday Special **Beef rib, slaw, mac n cheese, and potato salad. no notes, y'all!

That beef rib walked so all other BBQ could run. Black bark, pink smoke ring, three sides I didn't share with anyone. Botto's, you have my whole heart and my empty tray.

Amazing brisket! The best I've had in the PNW. This place is bustling and there's often a line. Items can be sold out especially on the weekends so get in the queue early. My favorite is the two meat plate with brisket and sausage. The sides are exquisite. It's a small operation, but the staff is quite friendly. It's on the pricey side, but worth it. If you like authentic Texas barbecue and you live in Portland or are visiting, this is your spot! in a small A-frame building this place gets filled up fast. The only downside is that they don't have a bathroom. You have to use the porta potty outside, but it does have a code so it's not trashed at least.

This bbq place is the bomb!! We met some friends for lunch and will definitely be back! Some indoor seating. But it's was a beautiful day so we sat outside.

Sunday burnt brisket tips special yummy! The 1/3 lb pulled pork sandwich was plenty, the 1/2 pound one would probably need a fork! Nice outdoor seating

Wow. The line was out the door at 12:05 and they opened at 12 on that day. 100% worth the wait. We went on a Saturday so we could get the pork belly burnt ends (my favorite!) we also indulged in a BBQ parfait (yes, you heard that right!). I wasn't sure what it was going to be but it had all my favorite ingredients-basically a galicky, creamy mac n cheese bowl with your choice of meat-brisket for me-topped with fried onions. I'm in heaven, I could eat this every day and be happy. My husband loves their smoked turkey and sausage. We also got a side of fries, cause why not? They are sort of taste like curly fries to me but they are straight. The honey mustard is my favorite to dip it in. Hint-all of this reheats well in the air fryer, as much as I wanted to eat it all in one sitting I had to stop myself from pigging out. Can't wait to go back and try the prime rib dip next! Love!

The order was ready right at 11:15 like the online estimated time instead when I got there, the staff was very friendly. I got the brisket cheesesteak and it was absolutely delicious and the cheese was so warm and melted and coded all the brisket, vegetables, and everything inside. I think the size of the sandwich is definitely shareable with another side between two people. My wife got the spare ribs and it was juicy and tender. We also got the tallow fries and those were absolutely delicious. Definitely going to come back here again try more things.

Solid barbecue with a very cool location. The brisket and sausage are the standouts for me. If you're in the Brooklyn area of Portland I recommend stopping by.

Food was delicious and quick! Everything was nice and hot/warm. Friend and I shared a 3 meats combo which came with two sides, and we also added one sausage link. This was more than enough food for the both of use, which we ended up taking leftovers home. All the meats we tried tasted great. My favorite was definitely the brisket and the sausage. Next time I would opt for the regular mac and cheese and the french fries as sides. The french fries were absolutely DELICIOUS. They were crispy, airy, hot and well seasoned. I would come back just to get those fries! This is more of a self serve spot, so you order at the counter whenever you're ready. They give you a table number and then it's time for open seating. We got there just before the dinner rush so there was plenty of seats, but shortly after there was a line out the door and all tables were full. Definitely come a little earlier before 6:30/7 to beat that dinner rush! Overall a great spot and I would come back again!

Some very good BBQ at Botto's on SE Milwaukie. I had the Thursday special, the pastrami brisket. Savory and smoky, with a peppery, deep rich flavor. Tender, juicy texture. Came with a choice of BBQ sauce or mustard. I went for the BBQ sauce along with a couple of complimentary slices of white bread. Fine meal on a lovely afternoon. Excellent service. Sunny atmosphere.

We always enjoy going to Botto's! The most recent visit was on a weekend day coming 20 minutes after opening the line was out the door. After we ordered it was a trickle; seems like people try to get in as soon as possible to get some cuts before they sell out. It took a while to get the food too. It's popular for a reason! The brisket is top notch and tender, perfectly spiced. The spicy mac is a crowd favorite and actually spicy but not blaring hot. The potato salad was okay and it felt like it was the kind with the peel on, but it was creamy and refreshing in contrast to the meat.

    hula pie served chilled-very tasty

The line was long but the bbq was worth the wait. We had the Pork belly burnt ends, brisket, potato salad, mac & cheese, and the hula pie. The burnt ends were my favorite bite. Staff were super friendly. We sat outside on their patio. Overall great lunch on a sunny pdx day! Absolutely would go back and/or order ahead and carry out.

Smoked turkey, ribs, potato salad and pork and beans.
    Raphael V.

The side dishes-potato salad and pork and beans were very good. Turkey was also good. Ribs were juicy and well seasoned. The sauces were a miss. White sauce was too spicy. Texas sauce was too vinegary instead of "sweet and tangy". It was also orange colored. Service was very fast!

Be prepared to wait in line when you visit Bottos. Parking is limited but we found a spot close by. We came in on a weekday for dinner hoping to try the burnt ends and stew. Unfortunately they had sold out of both. Be aware that if you come later in the day several meats could be sold out leaving limited choices. The staff was very friendly, helped us make our choices, and let us know what was available and sold out. We went with a 2 meat & a 3 meat plate and got the last of the turkey & pulled pork and also chose brisket & sausage. For our sides we chose coleslaw, spicy Mac & cheese and regular Mac & cheese. Every meat we ordered was prepared deliciously. Each one was full of flavor, smoked perfectly and served hot. The coleslaw & spicy Mac & cheese were very good, the regular Mac & cheese was just ok. We also tried several of the sauces and every one of them were delicious. If only I could get corn bread here I would have been in bbq heaven! There are several tables and bar type seating available inside the restaurant but it gets very busy at prime meal times so seating can be very limited. It's a homey, butcher shop, type ambiance that makes it a fun place to check out. Overall we had a great meal here and we'll be back to try to burnt ends and the stew soon.

IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Highly recommend you try this spot!

The baked beans were tasted kind of like tomato sauce and I'm more of a brown sugar molasses kind of gal. The macaroni was not that great. Kind of dry and bland. The service was great. Pictured is a "half pound of brisket" for $23.00 and 60%-70% of it is just inedible fat! What was edible (3.4 ounces), was honestly disgusting and looks nothing like the photos they show online, as you can see for yourself. $11.00 for a cup of sour smelling banana pudding that was immediately tossed in the trash. $4.00 for a "chicken breast" that was literally 2 bites... This is the second and last time we will ever order from them again. I have never been more disappointed in an order of food in my entire life. We spent over $70 for the brisket as shown, a small salad with 2 bites of chicken, soggy coleslaw and sour banana pudding. Beyond unacceptable! Never again and truly hope this saves someone else from the disappointment that Reverend's BBQ truly is. Complete waste of money! Edit: It has been about 45 minutes since I ate what little of the brisket that was actually meat and not just fat, and I am extremely nauseous. Not worth the money, disappointment or naseau. Just looking at the photo alone, I wonder why I even tried eating it. Absolutely disgusting.
