We brought the family for a fun 2 hour dining experience. It was unique and delicious. The 15 year old summed it up as the first time you visit you learn how it works and what you enjoy. We did the hot pot and the barbecue. The Miso soup was was fantastic and the Tom Yum too. The tomato soup broth was a miss for all of us. It was also a very nice dessert selection at the end of the meal. Our server was helpful and very busy with tables. We recommend a spatula for the grill. We also recommend an oil decanter for every grill table. Our server did not return to add any to the grill so we had a lot of sticking. The renovation is perfect. So all of the decor is fresh and delightful. We will be back for more! read more

We stopped in here for dinner - seated quickly. It's amazing to see how they remodeled! It doesn't even look remotely the same! There is a sauce, salad/fruit, dessert and fried bar you can go up to before you start your hotpot/grill. You order everything from the ipad on the table. Everything came out quick! Service was hit/miss - it was hard to get the servers attention for drinks...It would be great if you were able to order nonalcoholic drinks from the iPad. Fire pot is a new establishment in Grand Forks, ND, and couldn't wait to give it a try. This is the second time we have eaten at this type of restaurant. As walking in we were seated very quickly since it was lunch in the middle of the week no need to have a reservation, but I would say a reservation would be advised. Right away we were greeted with happy smiling workers, waiter was quick to explain how the system worked and was very helpful and asked if we had any questions to let him know. Place was super clean and so nice, more of a booth type of seating with some tables. Waiter quickly took our drink orders and we sat down and eagerly began placing our orders on a iPad located on the table. Punch in what you want and enter and it goes to the kitchen then comes to the table. You have a choice of grill or hotpot or both for $5 extra, we chose both for the full experience. You have the choice no matter what time of the day to get dinner menu to open the complete experience. This included several extra choices, we did'nt do it this time we stayed with lunch. Your soup base come first to the table your choice of 6. You have a sauce/salad/desert bar as much as you want also icecream. You get instructions on how to make different sauces, but to make it quick I just jumped in and mixed up a few ingredients and it was tasty. The dishes for the grill are well seasoned and very tasty. Plenty of options of meats, seafood, veggies and noodles and rice. Great selection for vegans or vegetarian's. The only thing I have found out is that some things like clams, mussels and scallops can get lost in the soup base and over cook, so I ordered me a hotpot basket which I brought with me and it was such a good item to have. Glad I bought it, kept even my noodles where I could easily get them out. I also took me a little squeeze bottle of butter flavored oil I squirted on the grill from time to time. Mind you they do come around periodically to spray the grill but I felt it was easier to do it when I wanted. Our waiter came around often to see if we needed anything. Little pricey but in our opinion it's worth it from time to time for something different and fun for the whole family. We will be back, prolly ever time we head to Grand Forks. We like it that much! This place is so great! We loved the food, staff and atmosphere! I only took a star away for two reasons; 1) they do not accommodate for people like us with seed oil allergies, they have soy and sesame oil only for the grills, we went home not feeling well. I would like to see an alternative oil option offered for special cases like ours someday. 2) We are a family of 5 and we were seated at a table with one grill. If all of you are doing the grill option only like we did this entails having there be a lot of waiting around for people at the table, I ended up grilling everything up and eating only samples of everything so my family could be served in a timely manner. If you have a party size similar to ours (especially with kids!) I highly suggest asking for a table with two grills. Thank you FirePot staff, we truly hope you do very well here in GF! read more

the BEST k-bbq and hot pot you can find in Grand Forks! the quality of their meat and sides bar (free and u serve ur own portion) was insanely good. their server was super friendly and checked in with us almost every 5-10 minutes. it's hard to keep a k-bbq/hot pot restaurant clean and neat, but they were able to maintain it 24/7. def order their beef tongue to grill and veggies for hotpot! read more

Food was great! Fun place to eat with kids as it was interactive and there was a side bar buffet. Recommend it for sure.

Fantastic service and options. My wife is vegetarian, and we appreciated the wide range of mushrooms and vegetables on offer, especially since they can be hard to find in our area. I wasn't as impressed with the thin sliced meats, they definitely had the texture of frozen and thawed meat, but the seafood, spam, and vegetables made up for it for me. If we did BBQ, we'd have access to short ribs and other thicker cuts that would likely have been better. The sauce bar is extensive, allowing you to build your perfect customized dipping sauce, and the appetizers such as the seaweed salad and kimchi were delicious. The vibe is excellent and lively. They were still working on staffing the bar, so I don't have a review of that, and there were some hiccups with the ordering system, but the manager and staff were attentive to make sure orders went to the correct tables. Arrived at 7:00 on a Friday. Place was packed. Waited 40 minutes to be seated (clearly everyone in town was here). The service and food were fantastic. My wife is Korean and the food was authentic (not Americanized). Keep in mind you cook meats at the table. The restaurant is new and the ambiance/decor were top notch. read more

Best restaurant in Grand Forks. The staff were awesome, food was amazing and authentic, and the restaurant was clean and didn't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. I loved my experience here a little pricey but definitely worth it for what you get. read more
