Pass this on a regular basis, figured let me try it out. Only positives was the chicken was hot (temperature wise) & the broccoli was decent. Besides that, not worth the $19.25 for half a chicken with two sides. No flavor, I mean besides the little bit of spices added to the skin, the chicken itself had no flavor. Chicken was fresh, so fresh it still had two feathers attached to it. Sweet potato mashed was ok, but not good. Place looks & feels tired, sorta like they're giving up. Wont be going back. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised today when I stopped in at Fire Roasted for lunch. There's not a lot to the restaurant, just a line to order and a few tables. Ordering is somewhat similar to Boston Market where you order chicken and a couple of sides. I wound up ordering a crispy chicken sandwich, but the sides with the chicken (especially the Mac & cheese) looked very good...next time! When I first saw the sandwich my reaction was that it was pretty small for $6+, however, once I started eating, I found it was packed with delicious chicken! Loved the pickles on the sandwich too! The restaurant is located in a convenient shopping center with plenty of parking. Service was friendly. I'll definitely be back! read more

WOW WHAT A RIP OFF! 16$$ dollars for crap bun sandwich. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with two sides and got ripped off again for a 3$$ road soda. (that a soda to go). now chicken was favorable but the bun must have been purchased from Shoprite in the 99 cent section. the sides were mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. both flavorless. clearly out of a Kraft mac and cheese box with bland potatoes and topped with gravy that taste like cat piss. Will not be going back I hope they go out of business for waisting not only my time but my hard earned money. First of all getting tire of my phone battery going dead by the time dinner comes. Lol decided to order from here today and support a local business. I went through the menu and got the Grilled Chicken Platter which contained Marinated char-grilled boneless chicken breast with corn bread and two sides for a good prince of $10.80 All that I have to say was the the chicken was perfectly cooked, seasoned well and had a juicy succulent bite after bite all the way to the end. The cool thing I liked as well was that the chicken was over a leaf of lettuce and those juices got on that lettuce and I felt like I was eating a good chicken salad. Want to start by saying the food here deserves 3.75 stars. Food taste is very good , but prices are high, with unusually small sizes/ portions. The grilled chicken sandwich was tiny. As in, a third larger than a White Castle cheeseburger. The chicken wrap tasted great , but was just adequate in size. Same for the Cobb Salad. So the basic takeaway is small sizes , high prices, but great quality chicken. They are also skimpy with the sides. Certainly NO heaping portions here! If you are dining in, the decor is totally "Spartan-like" or bare bones. CANT BELIEVE NO FOUNTAIN SOFT DRINK MACHINE IN THE PLACE and just a partially filled beverage fridge tucked away way behind the counter. Also lots of wasted space in the the place . The food "buffet type " sides display counter doesn't do the food any justice . Needs to be perfect and look full all the time . I do have to say it is better than Boston Market, quality wise . My message to the owner is stop being stingy on the portions and get fountain soda ! Our bill for two sandwiches and a salad was $26. read more

I have been going to Fire for years, it has become of one of our regular spots for take out. But recently we have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. I recently got an avocado wrap with grey avocado inside (I took two bites and threw the rest out). They have started giving smaller portions, and their corn bread (which we used to love) is stale and hard as rock. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon. WOW!!! WHAT A RIP OFF!!! The pulled pork sandwich I had was as tiny as junior burger from Wendy's, but with tax it cost more than 10$, no sides, no chips, not even a lousy slice of pickle. Had to wait for almost 10min for a fast food sandwich on the burger buns. The service was not good and the flavor was not great. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

We dined in for lunch and tried the 1/4 chicken dark with cucumber salad and garlic parsley potatoes, the waffle fries, and the 6 ribs with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. Waffle fries are fine, but the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese are nothing more than mediocre and bland. The chicken was good, and the ribs are flavorful but fatty. (My dining partner liked this about them, though.) Corn bread was fantastic, and the cucumber salad and garlic parsley potatoes are both fantastic sides - I'd highly recommend them. The place is great for a bite for very good prices. Menu has quite the variety, so it's worth stopping by if you're close. read more

Love this place. We go there for takeout all the time but they do have a few tables if you want to eat in. The rotisserie chicken is so delicious. It is crispy and juicy and perfectly cooked. The ribs are also incredible. They are seasoned to perfection and cooked beautifully with lots of meat on the bones. The side dishes are also delicious and freshly made every day. We also ordered for the first time a salad with cranberries and walnuts and it was unbelievable. When you order the food it is ready within 15 minutes. Don't miss this place if you love chicken and ribs and now they have fried chicken which I haven't tried yet but it looks delicious. read more

I haven't ordered from Fire Roasted in a while so when I picked up my meal I was shocked by the price increase. The #8 family meal used to be around $40. Now it's about $56!!! Quite a jump. The roasted chicken is alright. Nothing special. Definitely over salted. I would say that it falls somewhere in between average supermarket roasted chicken and Costco roasted chicken. Costco being a much better value, of course. The baby back ribs are average at best. Over sauced. Nothing original. The biggest issue are the sides. The mashed potatoes are 100% from a box. Watery and over salted. The steamed veggies were super basic and bland. Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. The macaroni and cheese is definitely pre packaged. Almost like Velveeta. The corn bread was pretty weak as well. I don't understand why a place like this wouldn't make the sides from scratch. It's not rocket science. I placed an order to be delivered from here and was not impressed. Their menu is identical to another restaurant in Wayne. I ordered half a chicken, stuffing, rice and string beans. The best part was the mini corn bread that comes with each meal. The sides were good, but the chicken was not cooked through. I can eat a medium rare steak but my chicken has to be cooked through. Ordered delivery through Yelp for lunch. We only live about 5 minutes away but somehow this delivery took over an hour. We ordered spicy chicken sandwiches which were decent; breaded chicken which seemed soaked in buffalo sauce, with a nice potato bun. The corn bread we ordered felt like it just came out of the freezer or a very cold fridge. Ordered a side of steamed vegetables, which were 90% raw still, which included what looks like cauliflower with spots of mold on it. Mac and cheese was decent as well, but tasted similar to what you'd get in a box. We've previously ordered from here in person, as well as through Uber Eats, for dinner and had no issues and really loved the food. (5 stars both times). Decided to try this place for the first time. This is definitely the last time as well. Paid $10 for an Avocado wrap that was barely 6 inches (32oz Hydroflask in picture for reference). First bite had way too much chipotle mayo in and no avocado until the other end of the wrap. The wrap itself was a 3/5 for taste, but I would give this a 0/5 if I could for the portion to money ratio. For the price I paid, I should've just went to Panera instead which is in the same complex. It's pretty good, nothing to write home about. Chicken is the best thing, really well seasoned and tender/juicy. Ribs- "meh" standard treatment of "babyback" ribs with commercial BBQ sauce . Sides = out of the red n white "baked beans" canned, corn bread white and blue boxed mix level. Cole slaw.... eeeeww, too wet, too big of knife work, and blah flavor. I've been to the other location in Cedar Knolls but it was my first time at this one. I love the whole industrial look. They have chicken roasting over fire in the front window. Seating is limited. They must have opened recently because it wasn't too busy for lunch. I recently started a low carb diet so I couldn't get any of my usual favorites. The chipotle burger and ribs are a must if you aren't worried about the calories. But today I settled for the 1/4 dark chicken and a double order of broccoli. I'm a huge fan of their garlic broccoli and the chicken was juicy, tender and not overly salty like rotisserie chicken tends to be. I absolutely LOVE their fire sauce. Combined with the chicken, I was in heaven. Just a warning, it's got a kick. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a quick great tasting meal. read more

Also you see the sides out but the sandwiches, wraps etc are all made in the back - would be a nice touch if you could see the food being prepared. I've had the chicken sandwich. Fried. This is a place I'm happy exists for the Caldwells. Speaking strictly to the rotisserie chicken and sides, this is essentially a non-chain Boston Market, and I mean that in a good way. The chickens are cooked well and at $10 for half a chicken, two sides, and cornbread, it is pretty reasonably priced. Factor in the hefty servings of everything... well, let's say you won't be snacking after the meal. For the sides, I really enjoyed the roasted garlic potatoes and creamed spinach (again, straight out of Boston Market). Garlic string beans were pretty tasty too. The cornbread here is in muffin form, and is a dense little critter that's pretty moist as well. It's a great option when the rotisserie chicken craving hits. read more
