The lady that called me to verify sounded really nice. The food is so good. Very flavorful. I ordered the half chicken and half pork rib combo with rice and black beans and it was amazing. Hit the spot for sure. The pork rib is meaty and big. Very juicy. The garlic shrimp is actual sauce not just a bunch of shrimp swimming around in oil and minced garlic. Its a buttery sauce. I recommend buying a loaf a bread for dipping. The serving size is enough for a family of 3 and left overs for the next day for sure. Definitely adding to my list of local dinner eats. Ordered some nice meat for delivery, so I can really only comment on the food here. Okay, and the delivery. Super quick. When I ordered, it said 45-60 minutes for the food to be prepared (as a standard message), and then told me delivery would take 45-60 minutes. Does that mean I'm waiting 90+ minutes for food? Nope, it came to the door in 40 minutes tops. Great job. As for the food: We've got the meats! I can say that most of the meat was a bit overdone, but it was made fresh and then delivered, so that will keep the meat cooking and I fully acknowledge that. The sausage was excellent. The wings were skimpy and not really worth it. The chicken and steak were both flat and thus both faster to cook. Meat overall was a bit chewy and tough, but again, that's upon delivery. I really liked the flavor, and they did include a nice spicy hot sauce at my request. Verdict: Will need to go back in person to try this out! read more

We came here for an early family dinner around 5:30pm with a party of 7, and it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were the only table in the restaurant, yet it still took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and it all came out in staggered waves. Every main dish was completely cold and tasteless -- broiled chicken and rice served cold, salmon and rice served cold, and plantains that were not just cold but tasted off. The only edible dish was a spicy chicken entrée, which was thankfully served hot. A couple of the kid dishes were just okay, but nothing special. For a place that wasn't even busy, the service and food quality were unacceptable. Very disappointing, and we will not be returning. read more

A great place to get Brazilian Portuguese food 12 of us feasted on Ribs BBQ chicken, Empanadas and rice. Good tasting food,clean, good service. One thing I will mention it was an unusually HOT day out and there was was no AC, server did all she could to make us comfortable. All in all a good experience, and I'd go back for sure! read more

It took an hour and a half to get my food. Then I was given someone else's order. Luckily, the driver was still outside, so she found my order and I had a feeling something was wrong. I had another bag coming! I ran outside, she was still there so I grabbed the rest of our food. It didn't end there. I ordered a crispy chicken wrap. I received a grilled chicken wrapped soaked in oil. I could not even finish half of a wrap. I agree with some of the other reviews that said the food was flavorless. My daughter ordered the chicken burrito. Too dry. My husband ordered the pork sandwich which was dry and flavorless. Also, both the chicken and beef empanadas were dry, and the quesadillas were just a few slices of cheese grilled between flour tortillas. Yikes! I would avoid this place like the plague. Major bait and switch scammers. Went here for lunch on a weekday, completely empty. Good for them for putting paper menus on a table right by the entrance. Pretty pricy considering the location, but on the back of the menu they have a lunch menu which is reasonable. About $11 for penne chicken and $10 for a burger. I walked in and asked the waitress what kind of sauce is used for the penne chicken and she said vodka, then corrected herself and said it's butter and olive oil. She then opened the menu to show me the penne vodka chicken dish which is about $18. Ok... first red flag, but not deterred. I decided to go with the burger with cheese ($1 extra) and free soda. She asks me whether if I am paying by cash or card. I reply back stating that I will pay by card. I put my card in and get a receipt for $14 plus. That's odd. Even with the cheese add on and taxes it shouldn't cost that much! I ask her if this is correct while pointing at the menu price and she then tells me that price has increased. "Everything is increasing", she says. Ok, I get that there's inflation and businesses need to do what they need to do, but maybe before I order she should've mentioned the real price, considering how her customers are going by the menu. I feel sorry for her and the business but this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Update your menu before you get into trouble. read more

Food is top quality - tender and delicious! Portions are also plentiful, and reasonably priced. Recommend especially the BBQ chicken and pork. A nice looking place on Bloomfield Ave. We have passed it many times but finally stopped in recently. Verdict? Good but not great. Friendly staff. Good toasted potuguese bread and butter. We ordered two "large" pork ribs, fries and spanish potatoes. Our waiter cautioned us that it would be a lot of food. The ribs were tiny. It was as if each rib had been hacked into three to four pieces. Although some pieces were tender and flavorful, most were tough, filled with connective tissue/cartilage. We each finished the "large" order of ribs very quickly. Fries were really good but the standout item was the spanish potatoes. The best we have had anywhere. Outstanding. I'm Portuguese, and thought that part of the meal was pretty good I also ordered what they said is a 'pizza empanada". I've had this before from another place. Disappointed. Was looking for some grilled short ribs and roasted chicken and found this place on Yelp. We called and ordered takeout and it was ready fairly quickly. We were so excited, the portions were huge. We ordered the short ribs and chicken combo with rice and fries and an order with beef ribs and chips. The order came in aluminum trays with foil wrapped. It was piping hot which I knew that my fries and chips will be a soggy mess and I was right! Next was the chicken, it tasted like chicken that has been rosted all day, dry and hard. I thought I was eating a chicken breast but it was the thigh and leg!. The rice was plentiful but dry and undercooked but over seasoned and super salty. I will never order from here again read more

We received an update from the owner of the restaurant, and we were appalled that her narrative of the events that transpired was so insanely off - that we decided to share a picture of the bread that we got. Not moldy? Here's the evidence. Additionally, no apologies were offered - whatsoever. She also said she would come to our office to talk this out, however she never showed up, never offered a credit, nothing. With that being said, let's also mention that they were so rude to us on the phone when we were not the ones who made the error. I have never heard of a restaurant who offers "trays" of food, that only serves 1-2 people. Trays imply 3-4 at the very least. Please get the story straight before you try to defame your customers - especially when an office of over 15 people heard the conversation that transpired. So I needed to grab something quick that I could eat during a meeting. Something that would not require me to use a knife and fork and something that would not cause a mess or be to loud. So an empanada popped into my head. So I came in to get one, plus it's really hard to mess up an empanada. This empanada was not horrible, but it was just not my cup of tea. For one, I have never had beef empanada that has corn in it. For me this came out of left field and if I knew I prob would not have ordered it. I think that this might need to be updated on the menu. Cute little place on the main drag of Caldwell. Ordered some fried cod and garlic shrimp to start. Both were really good. The oil that the shrimp were served in doubles as fantastic bread for dipping so make sure you utilize that! I ordered the feijoada for one and my mom ordered the Paella for two. Mine was $12.95, which is amazing considering how much food i got. The price it should be, considering the contents and not overpriced because it's a delicacy. The collard greens are a bit garlicky for my taste and they ran out of farofa, but besides that everything was great, including the service. I was told that was incorrect and the price was $23.95. I was then asked what sides I wanted. I chose veggies and was charged $1.50 extra for no reason. I was not alerted to this and was shocked after I had already signed the credit card receipt in the dark and took it in my house to read it. On top of that, like a sucker I tipped $4.00 not knowing they had already tacked on a $3.00 delivery fee. Who charges a delivery fee on an order already over $20.00? My family, friends, and I go here regularly but no more. This is unfair pricing practices. read more

I came in with my wife for dinner. No one else was sitting in restaurant which gave me pause, but they do have a robust take out business. I had the garlic shrimp dinner with rice and beans which was very good, I've been to downneck Newark and there shrimp and garlic was excellent smaller portion but very good quality. My wife had the bbq chicken it was good but could have been hotter, and was a bit dry. But all in all a very good meal. We will be back to try other dishes and have the garlic shrimp again. read more

We got a Brazilian Rodizio Platter and Saute' Chicken & Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. Chicken was cooked perfect. Super juicy. Piri piri sauce and bbq sauce on the side for dipping. So good. Portions are very large, even 1/2 orders can feed 2 people. So happy they have Guarana Antarctica soda. Real charcoal rotisserie pit, makes sure a difference in the flavors. Rodizio platter 1/2 order was enough to have leftovers that could stand as a takeout order. Same goes for the 1/2 order of pork ribs. They were both great and hot. Dropped by Eurogrill on the way out of town for takeout dinner. The restaurant was quite busy which is always a good sign. We ordered and shared the beef ribs and chicken combo. The food was absolutely delicious! Portions were huge. The chicken was moist and the meat was tender. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. We ordered rice and salad as our sides. Even the salad was huge for a side and all the vegetables were fresh. The staff was polite and the food was cooked, packed and ready to go in about 20 minutes. This place is great, I've enjoyed every meal I've eaten here. The BBQ is amazing, which is Portuguese style BBQ (as it says on the front sign), not American BBQ, there's a huge difference. All the meats are very flavorful and juicy. They also have excellent specials in addition to their regular menu. The paella is delicious, and a very large portion. They also have a few specialty burgers and sandwiches that did not disappoint, cooked to your liking. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and will set up tables for larger parties. On a side note... I'm glad to see that this place overall has great reviews because it really is a wonderful place to eat. It's sad to read that a few people had an unpleasant experience but as a person that's in the hospitality industry I know first hand that it's simply impossible to please everyone. It's just the nature of the beast. Actually the easiest way to fail is trying to please everyone. Also most people go out of their way to share a bad experience but rarely does anyone go out of there way to express a good experience... It seems like most of your customers enjoy your cuisine so keep on doing what you're doing. read more

Snap, crackle, spark of a real fire and good food. Nice spot for people that appreciate meat. First thing I noticed when I came in was that it smelled like a campfire ... I mean that in a good way. This should not be a surprise as they say they are a traditional wood-fired grill, and this is the way meat has been cooked for 99.9999% of human existence. I had the pork ribs, which for a half order was 4 decent sized ribs. The meat was flavorful and tender. It went well with the BBQ and hot sauce that they serve with it. The black beans were garlicky, salty and delicious. The Spanish fries (potato chips) were good but could have been a bit crispier. I purchased the buffalo chicken wrap and Spanish fries. There is barley any chicken in the wrap. The wrap basically consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, hot sauce, one chicken strip, and way too much mayo. Spanish fries were under cooked.
