    Buffalo chicken sandwich

This is one of those places where had I checked the Yelp reviews before walking in, I would have thought twice about going. At just past noon, the rap music was blaring in a way that unsettling for the time of day. It was also completely empty. The service was fine, and the food was basic, but extremely expensive for what it was - basic buffalo chicken sandwich for $17?? There are way better, more unique restaurants in the area that I would rather spend my time at.

Enjoyed a NFL gameday Sunday afternoon here. It wasn't crowded at all which I thought was odd for a large sports bar. I was accompanied by a group of friends and they all described delicious dishes. I ordered the Miami Mojito, chicken wings and crab quesadilla. Even though the chicken wings were sauced they had a nice slight crisp on the exterior and were tender on the inside. The quesadilla was incredibly soft and flavorful. The crab meat really made the difference. All were really good! So good I ordered the quesadilla and their hottest chicken wings to-go. I'll give them another try soon to verify their consistency. I was shocked not many people were dining here on this day, on a football Sunday. Overall a good experience.

Went to Fire Station for the first time. They had opened minutes before we walked in. Our bartender was so friendly and gave us great tips about the area as we're just moving in next week. They were setting up for live music so would love to go back to see that next time!

Great atmosphere and great drink served by Jessica and Abdul! Strong and flavorful. Fire Station is perfect for watching the game or hosting private parties upstairs. Located in downtown Silver Spring it's metro/buss accessible or a parking garage nearby. Favorites: The wings, Southwest Egg rolls and chicken tenders are a must. Drink favorites: Margarita or Mango Martini Come here for groups, casual date night or solo time at the bar and you're sure to be take care of with 5-star service!

    - it was pretty dead in here when I arrived. The Server had a Fanny pack on and I didn't catch her name. But I ordered the Reuben sandwich and my friend order 10 wings old bay and 5 alarm. The food was good and I enjoyed it. No complaints there. The server was fine as far as service goes. The atmosphere was clean and I always do a bathroom check in all the restaurants before I eat.

They are following social distance guidelines and staff wear masks. Yesterday I came here with my boyfriend and enjoyed some drinks. Today, I'm meeting my friends here to eat dinner. As always, the staff is very friendly and professional! I'm looking forward to trying the potato skins with jalapeños instead of bacon. In the past, I've ordered the veggie quesadillas, which had lots of vegetables inside! As one that doesn't usually eat mushrooms, they were hidden enough for me to still eat every bite! My friends normally order the salmon Caesar salad with salmon or steak. Needless to say, none of the salad is ever leftover! This is a great spot for happy hour and also features socially distant parties sometimes over the weekends!

Ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious! The bleu cheese added unexpected flavor. Good place to watch football and have a beer. Definitely will return.

I've been to fire station 1 times before for gogo (DC original music) and I've never ordered anything on the menu. I'm so glad I decided to take a chance with the food and get something to eat. My boo & I decided to brave the snow and go to see one of the local DC bands play. I was starving by the time we got there so I decided to get some wings. I love bar wings. The bartenders were super nice and very helpful when I decided to make my order. I got the Cajun wings and a margarita. My drink was made quickly and it was super tasty. My wings came out about 15 minutes later. They were hot and I could tell they were well seasoned. As I took my first bite I knew I was in heaven. They were juicy & crispy at the same time. I almost ordered more wings just to go home with me. I can't wait to go back and try more foods on their light night menu.

Ask the Community - Fire Station 1

Why do you charge people for mistakes made with their order when it arrives? What happened to comping the item that was wrong? I thought that was good customer service, especially if you are frequent customer. (3+ times a month)

Because their customer service is horrible and they genuinely do not care. I had the manager yell at me. Absolutely ridiculous!

I got the catfish and grits and we got a pepperoni pizza. The food was delicious. They also offer a brunch buffet that has lots of options including a waffle station but I wasn't in the mood for that so maybe I'll check that out next time. The restaurant itself is nice, and spacious, the ambiance is a cool little vibe for a date or to bring your friends. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because of the bartender. We sat at the bar and he just wasn't a friendly as I would have liked. Other than that the service was great, and the food came out quickly.

I've been to other locations, so I decided to try this one as I've never been to this location before. Food- 3 Drink-4 Waitress-2 Ambience-5 Overall -3 Let's start with the food. At first I was disappointed when I saw they took off my favorite appetizer, so I ordered the Cripsy Calamari Appetizer instead. So as I am waiting my waitress had stopped by twice to ask me if I was ready to put in my entree and every-time I had to tell her no as I haven't even gotten my appetizer yet. This rubbed me the wrong, I felt like I was being rushed and that didn't make sense as this was on a Thursday at 1 pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Now the patio seating was lovely and I truly enjoyed basking in the sun while sipping on my Sauvignon Blanc, I have so many memories from DTS and it was nice to be in the area again. Anyways my Appetizer came and it was sooo good. I loved the fried jalapeños in the mix it really gave a nice kick to my Calamari. I decided to order the Shrimp Tempura Roll which is a new addition to the menu but whew this is where it went left. It was NOT good, drenched in sauce and fish eggs ... and the presentation of the roll looked sloppy and rushed especially considering one roll didn't even have Shrimp in it. There was barely any cucumber inside ... on top of all that they still gave me side dippings too... I ate 1 roll and it was nasty and too much. When I told my waitress I didn't like it and explained why she just said ok and walked away. It was very clear to me she did not care and so it's very clear to me that I won't be going there ever again.

For my main, I got the Ribeye that was cooked well. I got medium well, but should have gotten just a medium. For desert, we got a crème brule and a dish that was like a brownie with ice cream? My Go-To's: Spinach & Artichoke Dip One of the best around. It's always cooked just right, never underdone, never burnt. Great flavor and perfectly creamy. Rotisserie Chicken Salad Think Tex-Mex salad loaded with all the good stuff. I love, mixing the BBQ sauce with the chipotle blue cheese dressing, it's the perfect sweet-smoky combo. It used to come with cornbread croutons (which were such a nice sweet touch), so now I just order a slice of their delicious cornbread on the side. Chicken Pot Pie Comfort food done right. Rattlesnake Pasta It almost gives Rasta Pasta vibes, but without the heat. Creamy, flavorful, and filling. Barbecue Ribs Tender, saucy, and satisfying. Key Lime Pie One of the best. My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.
