Had Fire Wings in San Mateo and they were really good; so I decided to try this new location and I was thorough disappointed. All three of my dry rubs tasted like plain fried wings with little to no taste. The Thai chili was the only wet wings and they were average at best. Not sure if this Covid-19 shelter In place got them making too many wings and started to lose quality? We just ended up using sauce to give the wings some extra taste. I'm practically next door and don't know why I didn't come sooner. Fire Wings has definitely replaced my Wing Stop runs. I love the wide array of side options, and the variety in wing flavors. Everything I've tried so far has been great. My only complaint is that yesterday I placed an order through my phone several hours beforehand and it still managed to not be ready on time. Not only that, but they forgot to give me any dips and I ordered ALOT of food. I'm glad I found ranch at home. Also, they didn't give me any drink cups when I had ordered several, luckily I remembered those before I left and asked for them. On the expensive side for Good wings and fries. Mango habenero flavoring is lacking but the wings are cooked great, crispy and juicy with ample amount of meat. Service is good, nothing to write home about but not bad at all. Peking wings taste great and sauce is sticky sweet which goes great on the crispy juicy wings. Garlic fries are greasy as all hell but regular fries are done crispy and soft inside. This is my second time trying this place as my first experience was not great. The first time they confirmed with me that there was ranch in my order as it's an essential part of a wing experience. I tried to give them a second chance the girl again confirmed me that there was ranch with my wings and still no ranch! We asked for season fries and the fries were soggy and no seasoning! I also ordered boneless wings and she still charged me full price for them when they are suppose to be 85 cents on Mondays! I came in person 28 minutes away from Home to order 40 wings I went in person so the order was not wrong. I clearly said 30 lemon pepper and two other flavors. I got home and had 30 Louisiana flavor I called right away so the correct wings can be made so when I drive back to get the correct order I would not have to wait. I also asked for a manager to be present so I can get assistance for this inconvenience since I had to drive another 20 minutes back. When I arrived no wings were made! No manager was present. The girl at counter had no knowledge of what was happening and I had to ask her to call her manager. All they did was as refund did not make wings like I was told and I had to re-order and wait again. She said I had to return the wings first for a new order to be made. I'm very irate as I drove 20 minutes each way to get wings and get wrong order and wait 2x for a order. I will never come here again horrible experience no help. I was going to order from Wingstop but I am so tired of the crappy customer service from them that instead I decided to try this spot out. Menu was a bit overwhelming because there are so many options. I ordered lemon pepper, Malaysian curry, Saigon street & buffalo. I won't lie, I'm very impressed. The customer service here was great & the wings were surprisingly delicious. Although I didn't love all the flavors they were still really good, just not my preferred flavor for wings. The lemon pepper were my personal favorite from this selection. Killed Wingstops lemon pepper. The buffalo came in second, my only suggestion would be to sauce them up a bit more. Since the menu is so wide, I'm actually now pretty excited to try all different flavors to find my preferred order. I'm thinking I'll choose the garlic Parmesan next to completely rid Wingstop from my life. Also, if you like garlic, don't skip out on the garlic fries. Great job guys ! read more

Soft opening, takeout: I tried the 10-pc. wings, half Fire Wing and half Lemon Pepper. They're both tasty, but the FW is too hot for me (I do eat spicy food, but I don't like when my mouth is burning for minutes after, with coughing, running nose and watering eyes, good thing I took it home.) I'm not sure I can finish those without having a buffer. I wouldn't mind a touch less salt in the LP, but I'm guessing it's a mix. They won't have salads until the grand opening, but it would be nice to have a Combo that has a choice of salad instead of fries. The wings are already fried, so having something fresh offsets the fat (not talking about calories). Update: It seems like the flavor mixing needs to be better. Some of the FW pieces were ok heat-wise, others were too much. Same with the salt in the LP, though that was less of an issue. read more

But when I order for pickup, I always have my complete order. Giving at least a star for my first time order from this business. The only reason why I gave a star is that the wings I ordered are good but not the best. I was very disappointed that the chicken sandwich was missing which is the only reason why I ordered from this place. I only noticed the sandwich was missing when I got home. Called the restaurant to follow up and they told me that they can't make it because they don't have any chicken strips. I did not get any notifications after ordering on grubhub about this issue and surprisingly they did not even tell me anything that something is missing when I went to pick up my order at the restaurant.
