I liked everything I tried, but the Malaysian dry rub was probably my favorite. The rub was flavorful and not too salty in comparison with others. Their fire wing sauce is a joke, its more vinegar than anything with as little heat as possible. I would have given this place 3 stars but their soda taps have constant issues and their water is a cloudy white color. I personally love the lemon pepper so much because it was crunchy and so much flavorful (not have the fatty skin). This is my new favorite wing spot! I have to admit its on the pricier side but i love the variety they offer and I genuinely enjoy their wings. My favorite flavors are: garlic parm, mango habenero, thai chili, and lemon pepper. I also enjoy their garlic noodles and garlic fries but to be honest tasted more like parm than garlic.. and their honey mustard has a hint of barbecue sauce... kinda reminds me of Chick-fil-a sauce. Their sriracha wings were alright... nothing special. And their korean wings tasted just like gochujang nothing really too special about it. Id rather go to an actual Korean chicken place for that. Located on the little strip inside the Walmart plaza, along with baskin robins, bobo, crawdaddy and the nail/hair shop, you can find fire wings. They have outdoor seating with about 8 tables (tables of 4). I Quickly make line, finding out that they close at 8 and I made the cut. Phew. Everyone in front of me is trying to figure out the menu, getting into one another's space. People ordering don't know where to stand and quickly 6 feet apart no longer existed in the facility. It finally was my turn. I made a quick decision and got the family pack. C the cashier helped me out with my decisions and quickly went over the flavors. I ended up with mango habanero, salt n pepper and the dragon, along with season fries and ranch for dipping for $26 and some change. This was a 20 piece meal and took about 20 minutes to make. They are freshly fried as they are ordered. Dun dun dun.... y'all ready? Okay, so truth is, the price was just right compared to other wing places. About $1/wing. The amount of fries was decent , but the season fries weren't all that. I had to eat them with ranch to jazz it up. I didn't try the mango habanero since I really can't eat spicy , which my bf claims it needed more flavor to it. I was super excited to try the salt n pepper, as most asian restaurants make it. Fire Wings were pretty fire! I hadn't heard of Fire Wings before or tried any of their other locations, but I love wings!! Decided to try this location that just had their grand opening. They currently allow ordering in-person and online. They have outdoor dining set up with part of the parking lot secured off for it, as well as social distancing markers inside for ordering. I ordered online and went straight to the pick-up counter. The estimated time I was given was 30-35 minutes on the website, but I received a text about 10 minutes early saying my order was ready for pickup. I ordered the 10 wing combo, upgrading my side to garlic noodles and getting a separate side of seasoned fries. The lemon pepper was tasty; the lemon flavor was stronger in comparison to other wing spots. I also tried the buffalo stampede and was pleasantly surprised! It's described as a spicier buffalo sauce, but I found it to be more flavorful than a regular buffalo and had a good kick. I expected the seasoned fries to be Cajun (that's usually what I think of for seasoned fries), but I actually didn't taste any noticeable seasoning at all. They were nice and crispy though. The garlic noodles were okay. It's a decent portion as a side, but I think the main appeal is it's not a common side you can get for chicken wings. I also got both the wings and fries extra crispy - definitely worth it for the fries, not sure if it dried out my wings a little more than I would've liked. The combo comes with a drink as well. There was flavor in every bite as they were coated generously and evenly in both the dry seasoning and sauces we picked: Dragon, Jamaican Jerk, Original Bbq, Louisiana Rub and Lemon Pepper. Another highlight worth noting is the wings were not greasy at all. Due to this, I did not feel weighed down by extra oil as I usually do when consuming wings. That's a big plus for me. My wife and myself have been going to fire wings on story Road since they opened. We have never had an issue with the food, service or an order from this restaurant , not one single time....until last night. Last night we were very late getting to the restaurant and they were taking only to go orders which my wife and I expected. When we got home and found that the chicken had been overdone, not like we've ever had before, I called the restaurant at about 10:40 PM. Someone still answered the phone even though they were closed. The same kind gentleman that took my order was the one that answered the phone. He apologized and was ready and willing to make another order for me to come back or to come the next day and make right what was unsatisfactory to us. After my wife and I got out of church today. we came back to the restaurant when the one gentleman that took our order who was going to make it right today. hadn't come in for his shift yet and another young man went ahead and made our order again with no complaints. We are very, very, very blessed and grateful at the amazing staff, wonderful food and excellent service to us. Although the tables seem a little close in my opinion, their other precautions against Covid are well thought-out. I absolutely love the garlic Parmesan boneless wings at wingstop, but I was pretty disappointed when I tried the flavor here. The flavor is pretty nonexistent and it just tastes like a plain oily chicken wing. The only good part about these wings were that they are big and have a lot of meat. Although the chicken wings were pretty disappointing, their sides were pretty good. The seasoned fries had a lot of flavor and were super crispy, and the garlic noodles had a subtle garlic flavor but grew on me as I kept eating. I remember the first time I visited fire wings and tried their highly recommended "Peanut Butter Wings". I've got to tell you, these wings changed the GAME. I've been to their Elk Grove location and to their San Jose location a handful of times and their wings have not disappointed me or my buddies yet! Today, I had the pleasure of having a cordial conversation with SI at their San Jose location. This gentlemen made my visit seem like I was having my favorite chicken wings at a really good friend's pad.
