I tried this place last night and was craving something other than tacos so it was pretty refreshing to see this truck. The service was great. The guys (Bryce & Rich) were very kind, welcoming and attentive. I got noodles with half chicken katzu and half tempura shrimp along with egg rolls. The noodles were super flavorful & tasty, I overall really enjoyed their food. I definitely recommend this food truck. 10/10 will go again. I also recommend trying their takis sauce. I ordered some french fries. They were freshly made, hot and tasty. I'm only giving three stars because they were $12. The food looks good, but based on the price, I'll probably go somewhere else. I was excited to try this place and wasn't concerned about the cost. I was looking for a memorable meal and experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. My order included garlic noodles with chicken katsu, a fried egg, six shrimp tempura, and a coconut water. With tip, the meal came to around $60. To their credit, the portion size was enormous and could easily feed two people, so value in terms of quantity was not the issue. The biggest disappointment was the garlic noodles. I was expecting a rich garlic flavor, but they tasted very similar to standard yakisoba noodles and lacked the distinct taste I was hoping for. The chicken katsu was soggy and had little to no crunch, while the shrimp tempura was crispy but otherwise bland and underseasoned. Nothing tasted bad, but very little stood out. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality and flavor match the cost. In this case, I left feeling that I paid for a large portion rather than a memorable meal. As soon as it reached my mans hands, the worker saw how small it actually looked and was like, "ehhh yea I guess it's not that big". And we were like ok- and leave to eat at a table Rice is mushy, and it's the thinnest meat slices you could imagine lol. Deli meat slices. One on top and one on the bottom. The Katsu chicken was seemed like it was frozen and deep fried . The chicken didn't have enough breading and didn't event taste nothing like katsu chicken. The noodles tasted like a microwaveable version of Panda Express chow mein. The price was too high for the quality of the food. read more

This place is a scam do not go, way over priced and they are using the cheapest ingredients possible. Their fried PB&J is a fried uncrustable...and that wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't 10 dollars. You can buy a 15 pack of uncrustables from target for 15 dollars and make yourself 15 at home for 5 dollars more then they charge you for one. Obvious poor reviews are from people who have never conceptualized what it cost to run a restaurant or dare I say, maybe have never worked a day in the service industry. I was looking for anything but tacos and burgers, and these guys were right around the corner. (Marketing is working, keep making noodles) When you're eating out, you should never have to worry about what things cost. You should just order what you want and pay the tab. That's what I did.(~$40) HONEST REVIEW; 7.5-it's hot. It's ready. It's right there in front of your face and it's not tacos and it's not burgers. The name is very fitting because this place stinks. Save your money and time. We paid $30 for the garlic noodles and 2 sides (wontons and egg rolls). The garlic noodles did not even have any garlic and tasted like frozen noodles from Safeway!! The eggrolls were ok but it's definitely not worth the money. The wontons were as bad as the noodles so don't even bother. Worst part is that we waited 30 MINUTES for our food. For that price point and wait, the food should at least be something to make a good review about!! Stopped by The Stinky Noodle food truck around lunchtime, looking for a little something sweet. I decided to try their deep-fried banana, something I'd never had before, and it did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness--it was pure fried perfection. Definitely worth the $8! There are lots of other tasty looking items on the menu too. Beyond the food, the truck itself is a total showstopper. From first glance, I was already having a bad feeling. As the truck pulled up in front of the Ritz nightclub, knocking over bike line pylons like it was bowling, I instantly recoiled at the hideous art plastered all over the truck which resembled the absolute worst AI art you've ever seen. Then the music suddenly ignites and blares the most... well pretty good music. My girlfriend eyed the truck with curious and hungry eyes and went up to order the deep fried pbj. I sort of cringed as she enthusiastically shuffled toward the rejected post-modern art piece. My gfs name was called and she brought the order only to reveal a sad, pale smuckers uncrustable with a glossy sheen of oil on its surface. The disappointment on my face was obvious. The scene felt as if I was cradling an abandoned baby from a basket that was left out on my doorstep. I don't want it, this shouldn't be my burden to bear. Obnoxious blue glitter was sprinkled clumsily over the whole mess, with most of the glitter concentrated in a single glob. I thought this was supposed to be "deep-fried"? I look confusingly at the uncrustables pale complexion, a far cry from the orange crusty indulgence I was expecting, wondering to myself if it had been fried at all. My gf offered me a half, I reluctantly obliged and held the slop with my fork. I imagined eyes and a mouth superimposed on its pitiful uncrustables body. It begged me to put it out of its gooey misery. I gave it a reassuring nod as if to say: "Don't worry, you'll be going home soon --" I bit into its flesh and tore off a piece. It was okay... The flavor was just like those pre-frozen smuckers uncrustables you got at your middle school cafeteria. But this was a version where they dipped it in too much oil which made the bread have this awful soggy texture and your mouth is left with a lingering oily film. Anger started brewing inside me. I felt completely ripped off. For a tiny 4-inch mushy uncrustable we paid $10. 10 effing dollars... Please take your hard earned dollars anywhere else downtown. If you're hungry for a snack just get a cookie from insomnia, or just go to the hardworking Mexicans with their hot dog carts across the street from Stinky Noodle. Or HELL I would go to La Vic's before coming here again. At least you get your money's worth in food portions. Don't get food from here! I don't care if you are drunk or stupid or both.
