It's my first time at this location and there's plenty of parking right outside. The store is so spacious. There were people studying and playing card games. Perfect place to sit and yapp where it's not overwhelming. It was a vibe in there and it's super clean as well. We easily ordered on the kiosk. There were so many great options to choose from. I ordered the double matcha and my friend got the hojicha. The drinks came out in 5 minutes. The double matcha was so good. Just the right creaminess and sweetness (I got regular sugar). Came to this spot with the intention of finding a new place to work remotely. Temperatures were just under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so I was in the market for a place where I could get a refreshing drink that had decent WiFi and good air conditioning. It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice. read more

At first glance, it's a very stylish spot with free wifi, plenty of seating, and a bathroom, so I decided to set up here to study for a while after work. Everything is very clean, and it's easy to find a table--albeit 90% of the seating is not near an outlet, so I had to rely on the preexisting charge on my laptop. The staff operates mostly in the back, so if you need help with anything it might be a little difficult, but I honestly didn't notice it too much. The drinks I ordered were okay--the puff cream in the Matcha Marble was a little cloying and left the roof of my mouth a little uncomfortably coated, but otherwise the flavor was good and the sweetness level appropriate to what I expected. The Very Grape blended drink was not to my tastes, either. The most unsafisfying part of the experience was the music and lighting. The music is a little loud, which is no problem, but you could also here conflicting music playing from someone's phone or speaker coming from the back, which was a little much. Additionally, the lights seemed synced to the music and would flash occasionally like camera flash, which hurt my eyes and distracted me while I was working. It was a bit straining. I wouldn't recommend sitting down here too long, which is a shame because there is a lot of space inside. That said, I have had good experiences with their drinks & with the Rang Coffee House drinks as well--I would just take it to-go. read more

I've been here 3 times for their RANG pop up and I liked their matcha. I've gotten the cookie butter, coconut, and mango sticky rice matcha. I recommend getting less sweetness, maybe 50%, since I got 75% and thought it was really sweet, but overall still really good. It's also really close to home which is convenient. Drinks came out quickly after ordering. Both drinks tasted more watery than the cupertino location this time. The panna cotta milk tea's tea was a bit bland while the honey gyokuro milk tea had more of a smoky tea taste. Both drinks had the less ice option. Maybe it was just today since usually the drinks are consistent with the other locations (Fremont and Cupertino). The panna cotta is always spectacular in the drinks. I love telling my friends this is an OMOMO dupe because of their Matcha Marble, Peach Cloud, and high quality milk teas. I love the Honey Gyukoro too! I would recommend most of their drinks! Visited on 4/19 for the mango sticky rice matcha and was sad to hear they were out of puree to make the drink, but was super excited to see they have a banana matcha and cookie butter matcha! I want to shout out their staff because the customer service is elite here. I asked many questions about the sweetness levels as I am unfortunately a little addicted to sugar and they were super helpful in my sugar level decisions and even let me know they can add sweetener if it's not sweet enough. I ended up doing 75% sweetness for the cookie butter and 50% sweetness for the banana matcha, and eventually asking for a bit more sweetener in the banana matcha before I left. Even at 75% sweetness I felt like I still tasted the matcha and natural banana flavor without it being overwhelmingly sweet. They definitely use fresh bananas in their cream top and it is so insanely delicious, generous with the amount of cream top too. I've been on the hunt for the best banana matcha latte in SJ since my last visit to Academic Coffee didn't feel very satisfactory as that's usually my go to spot. Move over, Academic Coffee - there is a new top dawg banana matcha latte spot in town! The indoor area is very nicely decorated with velvet chairs and comfortable seating all along the wall. There's also a cool mirror for your Insta pics. I've never had the Jasmine Tea Jelly before and you can tell it's made in house. It's sooo soft and sweet.... might be my new favorite topping? Popcorn Chicken - First time trying the food items here. The popcorn chicken is made of chicken thigh, so its SOO juicy and tender. The medium spicy was still pretty spicy, haha! But, it was so good. It's a great hangout spot with tons of seating, there's also an outdoor seating area. We ordered the dirty boba matcha latte and a summer melon fruit tea, solid 10/10. The flavors are perfectly fresh and doesn't taste artifical. Appreciate the oatmilk substitute option for the milk tea. Boba was just right, chewy and soft . We aalso grabbed a couple of ice creams to go. The peach one is so creamy and has a soft sorbet center. The fried chicken one was interesting, wasn't a huge fan, it tasted like vanilla but with a mild kick. Trying it was fun but not something I'd order again. I have tried their grape and strawberry drinks. Both were delish and quite refreshing. I also ordered the popcorn chicken and their novelty ice creams. Popcorn chicken was crispy, juicy and a good snack option. Sometimes though, it is sold out and there's no way to find out until you're waiting in the long line and then get up to the tablet to order and it says sold out. They have several novelty ice cream options at Rose and I got to try the strawberry and the spicy fried chicken. The strawberry ice cream was good and I would get it again. The spicy fried chicken was very bad and too spicy. My friend liked it but I was not a fan. Both were $5 each. A very unexpected surprise. We thought this place was going to be like another pekoe and tisane where drinks taste artificial and overly sweet however it was perfect. Came to this location for the Rang Matcha pop up they have. I came in really excited since I have been hearing nothing but great reviews on Tik tok. I had called the day before, but they had sold out of it within an hour of opening, so I decided not to go. However, my friend managed to get the topping an hour before closing that same day so it seems like they restock throughout the day (wish I had known!). I'm not sure if they opened a bit earlier today but by the time we arrived, most people had already ordered. I ended up getting the last Labubu topping around 2:07 PM. When I checked again about two hours later, it looked like they had restocked. So, if you're hoping to get one, I'd suggest placing an order online and checking when it restocks. We ordered the Coconut Matcha and Mango Cloud drinks which were pretty good. I really liked the cheese foam in the mango drink! The Labubu jelly topping costs about $3.50 extra. I didn't love the jelly but we mainly got it for the photos. PSA the jelly melts quickly in the heat so do not leave it in the car like us! Overall, this new location is pretty spacious and nice. New Rose Tea Lounge in SJ unlocked! Now I have one closer to me instead of the Cupertino or Fremont location. Inside is such a vibe! Really pretty decorations and love the black chairs. They also have outdoor seating which is going to be so nice for the summer evenings. Praying that it's not too hot though because you know how the heat be in SJ until August-September. I got the peach oolong tea because I just wanted something refreshing and simple. They put them in these pretty cups but I wish we could see inside the cup. The drink tasted watered down to me. Not sure about the other flavors but the peach oolong tea was alright. I would come back to try the other drinks though and it's such a nice place to chill because there's so much seating. They also icecream on their menu! They have a variety of flavors and the popular ice creams that went viral on tik tok. I've seen some at Korean markets before but the ones they have on the menu I can't find in store. They have spicy chicken flavored icecream like what! Pretty disappointed with my experience at Rose Tea Lounge today. I ordered drinks this afternoon and the lid on my matcha drink was not secured properly, so the drink spilled all over my car and clothes shortly after I left the store while I was still in the parking lot. I have the receipt and photo proof of the spill that I emailed to the company. I called the store hoping they could remake the drinks or offer some kind of refund, but I was told they couldn't because the spill didn't happen "inside the store." I understand accidents happen, but this was caused by the lid not being put on correctly, so the response was frustrating. The employee I spoke with also came across as dismissive, which made the situation more upsetting. I've been here before and wanted to continue supporting the business, but this experience left a bad impression. My favorite boba spot in SJ!! I've been here several times and I'll honestly keep coming back. I've never been disappointed by their accommodating and friendly service or consistent and quality drinks. This place doesn't accept cash so keep that in mind. There's two kiosks for you to order on but there's always a staff that's available to help. The matcha marble is a personal favorite with oat milk and 50% sweetness. The cream does run a little too sweet for my preference but it's perfect at half sweet. It's a smoothie type of drink that's rich in matcha flavor and far from bitter. Tie guan yin oolong milk tea is also fragrant with the prominent tea taste. It's creamy but not too overpowered with the milk. I suggest getting 75% sweetness. Honey boba is very soft and chewy as a nice topping to pair with it. Tiramisu coffee was okay. I wasn't a fan of their coffee as a huge Vietnamese coffee enthusiast but the tiramisu foam was perfect and not too thick. It tasted better when I mixed the foam and the drink together. As for the snacks, I really enjoy their popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce at level 4 spicy and extra seasoning. I noticed the crispy skin is on the thinner side with more meat than batter (YUM!). I liked how the popcorn chicken was juicy and came with many big pieces. Spicy bbq fries is delicious as well! It reminds me of Potato Corner's old chili bbq seasoning but slightly different as I prefer this one more. I also appreciate how Rose Tea Lounge keeps their prices reasonable for good drinks and snacks, especially in this day and age while other places are raising their prices.
