Searched for a restaurant nearby for happy hour/linner after touring a castle, I found this place via google and always wanted to try it. On a mid Monday afternoon, we were the only patrons in the restaurant (or so it seemed). We sat on a high top in their huge bar area and were promptly served by a nice server. We ordered the crispy cauliflower from their HH menu (5.95) & it was very tasty (tossed in a sweet & sour sauce) with green onions and Thai basil Chilis. We also ordered their house cab for 6 bucks each. As for our entrees, I was craving a crispy chicken sandwich so I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich which came with not 1 but 2 small chicken breasts a slice of cheese and lettuce/tomato (unfortunately, no mayo). I ended up taking off one of the chicken patties and ate half of my sandwich and most of the fries (took the rest to go). My BFF ordered the steak tacos and fruit as his side. He said they were ok but not "real" tacos (duh, you don't come to a place like this for tacos lol) Everything was top notch, loved the atmosphere and laid back vibes. I've never heard of this place. My friend from work invited my fiancée and I to her birthday dinner party. I was very impressed with the menu. There is something for everyone. From appetizers, entrees, pasta, sandwiches, desserts and even vegetarians can enjoy it. The drink menu is also great! From specialty cocktails, lots of wine and open bar, and craft beers. I really loved the inside. Very spacious and inviting. Loved the wall of wines and the bar is what makes the restaurant look extra cool. Reminds me of Coopers Hawk. The quality of the food is great with reasonable pricing. We ordered: Drinks: -Bottle of Kumeu Estate Pinot Noir Dinner: -Wood grilled Salmon- Key lime butter, fresh vegetables, side of Parmesan mashed potatoes -Baja shrimp pasta- seared shrimp, vegetables, fettuccine, goat cheese, bold cream I was amazed with the food. They give you a fairly decent amount. I polished all of mine but my Mr had to get a to go box. He enjoyed it as well. Gabe was our server and he was very down to earth, helpful and attentive. I went here with my godmother and husband yesterday and it was such a good experience. The seating selection in the dining area had a lot of different options. Some seats were next to the indoor fireplace which was great to warm up with before walking in 20 degree weather to your car. We were seated right away and our waiter so so kind, personable and attentive. The food quality was fresh. I was not expecting the chicken options here to be this tender. We had appetizers to keep us occupied until the main entrees were ready and that was a great decision because we were still working taking our time with the appetizers by the time the entrees were ready. My godmother was a fan of the bread. We were too stuffed for desert. Smoked wings: They are not smoked, they are fried but don't let that deter you. It was a good quality wing with a mild buffalo sauce with a tiny smokey elements. Tater tots: Fried just right, seasoning was good. Firebirds Roasted Chicken: Okay I was not expecting a half chicken and was overall happy with the portions cause I knew this was going to make a great lunch tomorrow. I was able to eat this with a fork. I only had to use a knife when trying to cut an attractive piece for my family to try. Again, to tall a sandwich to put in his mouth. He too had to take it apart. The burger itself was thin and very greasy. His salad was ok. Ao our sandwiches were virtually inedible. The menu is nice and diverse, as well as fairly priced, the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall feel is definitely laid back. It kind reminds me of Cooper's Hawk in a way. Reservations are definitely recommended for bigger parties on weekends. Gabriel was our server and he was great. My fiancee and I started out with a bottle of Kumeu Estate Pinot Noir (Gabriel told us it was on special because they were trying to sell through some bottles they were no longer ordering, but it was still a fantastic bottle). As for our mains, my fiancee ordered the wood grilled salmon with fresh veggies and Parmesan mashed potatoes, and I had the Baja shrimp pasta. Even though it was a busy Friday, we didn't wait long at all before everything was ready. Everyone was impressed by their food for sure and everything looked delicious. Came today on Valentine's Day! They had some pink balloons and free desert that came with our meal! We had Logan and he was so great! Helped us with the menu and questions and overall was so amazing!! They had the best steak and the crème brûlée and brownie sundae was a must. Stopped by early afternoon on Mother's Day. My wife and I enjoy stopping and sitting in the bar near the fireplace. Drink a bottle of wine and have several appetizers. My pasta was delicious. I had the Caprese chicken pasta, but I substituted salmon. The charge was not ridiculous and well worth it. The restaurant was super clean and very modern. We went here for my birthday lunch today. It was my first time here but I knew I wanted to get steak. Our lovely server, Keragen, was so kind and helpful. She let us know of their Monday drink specials, gave us steak options, and brought us a complimentary dessert. We got the agreed ribeyes with garlic butter... oh my goodness. Seriously one of the best steaks I've had in this area. The pineapple martinis were refreshing and sweet. Now, let me tell you about the dessert. She brought us crème brûlée cheesecake - words can't even begin to describe the deliciousness of this. This is the BEST cheesecake I've ever had in my life. It's exactly what I needed, and I didn't even know I needed it. I cannot thank Keragen enough for making this experience so wonderful!!! Since it was lunch time, it was pretty empty in there in terms of guests but the restaurant itself was lovely and clean. We were given bread and butter to start, which was fresh and crispy. One thing Firebird will get right is that Cajun butter steak! The steak melts in your mouth like butter. If you're a big fan of spice I say this is perfect. It's not overly spicy but the hint of Cajun is there and brings the steak to a new level. Service was great the waitress answered all of our questions and didn't rush us to order when we were still looking at the menu. The down fall of the meal was my ceaser salad. It didn't taste like a ceaser salad unfortunately. It was my first time ordering the lemon cake and it was delicious.
