Positive: Wait staff was great. A+ for attention. We had reservations but got in 15 minues early. Caesar salads were large and very good. Negative: You are no Jeff Rubys or Capital Grille. To charge prices like theirs I would expect quality. My Porterhouse steak ordered medium rare was very rare in the center. My sons filet nailed the medium rare. Provide your patrons steak knives. Lobster bisque we both ordered. It was light on sherry and my portion was significantly less than my sons. Charthouse and Capital Grille significantly better. Calamari was acceptable. Wine prices are very high. 400+% of retail for bottles and light on glass options. 6 ounce and 9 ounce pours on the high side. 20 dollars for a glass of wine is high. Specialty drinks were 15 dollars which are on the high side but more reasonable. Macaroni and Cheese average at best to a lower level restaurant. Mushrooms and pearl onions the same. We were too full for dessert. Tab was 250 and not worth it.

OMG...this place is wonderful. I was lucky to snag a seat at the bar because they were on a wait. But so glad I did. The BEST Cosmo I've ever had. The bartender told me she had a secret ingredient. I would kill to know what that was. I had a bowl of onion soup and it was everything onion soup should be. Thick cheese topping, croutons and plenty of onion in a very rich bone broth. Then I had Oysters Rockafellow, and these were so good with pork belly in the sauce as a bonus. Oysters weren't overcooked, which so many times they are. The price was extremely reasonable for the level of food and service. It's a good way to spend comps...on the food. Not allowed on adult beverages. You can bet I'll be at this place often. Can't wait to move around the menu.

Late night snack turned into a full course meal. The lobster bisque I ever had! The ambiance is great, the aged steak in the window is cool. The sea bass is a must try, I dint eat steak but my husband says it's the only he beat he had . Take from that what you will. I didn't care for the Mac and cheese because I like it baked in cheese, not just in the cheese reaux. Our waiter Pete was funny and engaging. It's worth the visit if you're in downtown Cincinnati!

Per usual, very good dining experience with very good service. I had the surf and turf and both were cooked just right. For sides, the brussels and loaded potato are my favs but I bet you can't go wrong with the others.

Our server Karla was a delight and the food was pretty good, it's definitely on the pricey side - which surprised me b/c it's in a casino! We ordered the salmon, the braised beef and a side of Brussels sprouts, we also had the lobster bisque (which didn't wow us like it should have for that price). We enjoyed our food and I was able to take my glass of wine with me around the casino. Would love to come back but we had stopped in by chance so it's unlikely that we do!

This place is a glorified Outback Steakhouse. Couldn't have been more disappointed. Don't waste your time and money.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and great food. The place is very clean and well maintained. We started with the Heart and Palm Salad. Perfect portion tossed with homemade honey balsamic dressing, really good!! I had the Chicken Gumbo, meaty and tasty with a perfect amount of spice to light up the tastebuds. The Shrimp PoBoy bruschetta was very flavorful. My lobster dip was nice and creamy and work well on the sliced crostini bread. We all had the Blackened salmon with rice & beans. The salmon was perfectly cooked and very flavorful with just enough blackened seasoning to enhance the flavor. Food presentation was perfect, everything was plated nicely They have a great selection of bourbon. We chose ours after just three selections but they had many more. The owner came by our table and introduced herself, something you rarely see nowadays The cost was reasonable, and we have added this to our list of top restaurant selections in Newport, Kentucky. They recently opened for lunch so we will have to try that out.

The soup dumplings were pretty okay, honestly hard to judge only because I am from Southern California and there are a lot of dim. Sum/ dumpling establishments that are so legit. We were hungry, but not starving. It lasted the whole day. We started with the salads (both of good proportions). My wife had the Caesar, and was happy with it. I had the Chopped salad. The lettuce felt soggy, but the carrots & radishes added texture. It tasted good. The NY Strip was the best I have ever tasted. I usually order mushrooms on my steak,m and this one came with them. The steak had the perfect balance between tenderness and texture to taste and feel just right. I haven't had a steak this good in a long time. My wife was very impressed with the Sea Bass and loved it. The water was very attentive through the main course. As my wife usually eats have the main course, and boxes the rest, it appears the waiter may have waited (in vain) for my wife to finish her Maine course before bringing our desserts. I had the cheesecakes, which arrived when I was at the bathroom. It was good (as cheesecake usually is). My wife had the Key-Lime pie, which was the same. One of the things that sets the Chart House apart from other places is the view. It is on the river front with a great view of Montgomery Inn. The 1 price Easter menu was exceptional.,

I'm not a crawfish person (too much work) so I usually get the Louisiana BBQ shrimp (which is NOT BBQ sauce - it's like butter and herbs and it's spicy but in a cumin way, not a Tabasco way). This time I got the wings that come with the same sauce and they are 10/10. Ranch dressing is housemade and the real deal. The char-grilled oysters are not to be missed. Happy hour has deals on both food and drink (as all good happy hours should) and includes oysters. Overall, prices are super fair because the portions are huge and most things come with a side or two. The jambalaya is worth bringing home if you don't have room and the cornbread is moist even the next day. And it's weird but I like the side salads, they aren't just white iceberg lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. Service has always been great. You can't get seated until at least half of your party is there but that's fair. We accidentally got a table for six and had eight show up and they just let us pull up a couple chairs and get in their way but acted like it was no big deal. Get there early because it fills up quick, including the parking lot. It's an old-school restaurant and the decor fits. It's got corny signs, tables made out of wine barrels and a fireplace in the corner. There is outside seating that I haven't sat at (I mean it overlooks a parking lot and there is usually someone smoking but at least it's there). There is a grumpy but capable bartender and young people working the host/ess stand who greet you cheerily and always say goodbye on the way out. Swampwater is right next to the Riverside Antique Mall, so make it a day and do some shopping beforehand. Both are more than worth the visit.

Both were friendly & acknowledged the birthday girl in our party. Atmosphere is great. You could comfortably walk in wearing jeans or come dressed up. Neither would be over or under dressed. The menu has juuuust the right amount of options, which is great! Heather was our waitress & while she was kind, her service skills were lacking. Granted we weren't at a Michelin Star Restaurant, but we also weren't at a dive bar. There was an endless amount of awkward reaching through, over & around when refilling drinks. There were a couple of instances where she actually touched our shoulders to nudge us to the side so she could reach through. Totally not okay during service at a restaurant nicer than a dive bar. We ordered the cheese sticks starter which were so yummy! Highly recommend! A couple of us ordered the Cesar side salad & were highly disappointed. The dressing tasted like it was mayonnaise heavy & then watered down by lettuce that wasn't dried after being rinsed. Even adding tons of extra pepper didn't help. The lettuce also tasted like it has been too wet for too long. The lobster mac was ordered in the group & it was tasty but soooo greasy. So, order with caution. We had the Black N Bleu salad in the group & that was good. The Atlantic Salmon was another dinner ordered & the crust seasoning was delicious! Sadly, the salmon was a bit overdone. It does come with a lobster cream sauce, which confused me. It was only so so & I definitely skipped it entirely. The steamed broccoli was done to perfection though. Not soggy & not too crunchy. We also had the 12oz ribeye & that was great! Flavorful, cooked perfectly! I will add though, that the steak knives need an upgrade. I really wanted to love this place, but we won't return on our next trip to Newport/Cincinnati.
