The food here was incredible. We came for a birthday dinner, and it was easily one of the best restaurant dinners I've had. The crab cake beignets were so so so good, honestly perfect. I got the filet with lobster risotto and loved it. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the tomato jam with the risotto pulled everything together so well. The scallops were absolutely beautiful, plated like a piece of art and the kind of dish that makes you excited the second it hits the table. The strawberry honey mocktail was one of the best mocktails I've ever had. The whole experience was just really good. Beautiful restaurant, super warm staff, and they made us feel like VIP guests all night. Everything felt high end without feeling pretentious. Definitely one of the best dinners I've ever had. Have to say I called ahead to make sure patio was dog friendly but the automated says ten told me no, but soon after I got a call from the restaurant that let me know that it is dog friendly. Our waitress was so friendly and helped us with the menu options. Brunch here was so good. The breakfast burrito was seriously so amazing with the sausage. Loved the bacon benny. Yesterday I had dinner at this location. It was my first time eating at this restaurant chain. Parking was plentiful and lot was easy to navigate. Restaurant was fairly easy to find even though the front of the restaurant faced the rear or away from the road. Ambiance in the restaurant is dark. However, it appeared that the restaurant was clean and well appointed and inviting. Food selections were limited. Meaning, a few selections in every category from soups, meats, poultry, seafood and pasta. I chose the filet with garlic mash and roasted asparagus. Meal was served hot and cooked to order. Was it the best filet I have ever had in my life? Not by a long shot. But, was it good and well seasoned? Yes. Was it (or anything else on the menu) priced appropriately for what you received? Well, in my opinion the entree offerings for the price were indeed overpriced. Service was great and friendly though. Which perhaps might be what keeps some folks returning. I'm not sure I'll return. Seems the pricing for the menu items is a little overpriced in my opinion for what is delivered. Even though the food was hot and enjoyable. The ambiance is lovely and warm. I was considering hosting my husband's birthday party here but don't think my Mother in law would like the food. She doesn't like spicy food. The service was good. The food was pretty good. I had the open chicken salad and wedge salad. The chicken salad was very onion forward. It is not something I'd order again. It lacked depth of flavor. They are generous with the bleu cheese on the wedge salad if you're a bleu cheese lover. The short rib open face was delicious. It had jalapeño on top. They have a lovely bread they serve with red pepper olive oil. We enjoyed it, but if you don't like a kick to your food you might want to request butter for your bread. I might try them again but I need to try different entrees next time. read more

First time here and definitely NOT the last! We came for a celebration of my youngest daughter graduating from college. We had a party of 10 and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. Adam was our server and he made us feel like we were his only table even though the restaurant was completely packed. The restaurant was so full but it didn't feel so crowded and loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Now, the food, that was an absolute experience all on its own! We had apps that I forgot to take pictures of and I couldn't get pictures of everyone's plates because there were so many of us. But there were no complaints whatsoever about any of the food. Everyone said it was some of the best food they had ever eaten. My husband is a shrimp and grits fanatic and says that it's some of the best he's had outside of the South. The ambiance is good for dining with friends. The menu is reasonably varied. However the food is average with an above average price. I ordered the pork chop on the server's recommendation. It wasn't spectacular. In fact, I have made better at home and the double bone in chop at BJ Restaurant is better as well. It looks great. Fantastic ambiance. Subdued lighting. Nicely appointed fixtures, tables and chairs. The wood is shining and the bathroom floors, I'd venture to say, are clean enough to eat off. Smells good. The hostess was pleasant and took us efficiently to our reserved table for our anniversary dinner. Our server was very nice and willing to give advice on menu choices. I got a terrific Old Fashioned to drink and I went with the suggested Baby Back Ribs. Really wish I hadn't. The salad was adequate. I got two dressings. The Blackberry Balsamic was good but the Cranberry Poppy Seed is amazing! The bread is something different. It is lightly fried, and a little greasy, on the bottom. The dipping oil was really great! The ribs were, as advertised, fall off the bone tender but lacked flavor. Line any flavor. The sparsely applied sauce was good but not great and far from enough. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked although I did enjoy the andouille in them although they, like the bread, were greasy. The fries were warm at best. Not even hot enough to wilt the sprinkle of finely shredded fresh Parmesan. There were 3 issues with our check that made paying and leaving take half an hour. I wasn't looking for any sort of handout nor did I ask for one but I really did sort expect some sort of mea culpa at the very least but no apologies were offered. Reminds me of someone I once dated. Really pretty but no substance. At these prices you have to remember that Trio, Embers, Carlo & Johnny and Toni's are just a chip shot away. We've always loved Stone Creek and decided to go for my birthday since we haven't been in a while. Unfortunately, our experience was less than good. After being told the patio was covered, our party of 6 was sat outside (none of the patio was covered). It wasn't a huge deal but I found it interesting the umbrellas don't bend. Our server was not good. We had to request everything (water, to order drinks, to hear the specials) or get things on our own like additional silverware or track down someone for water refills. The two tables around us had issues with their checks with her. The food wasn't cold but not hot at all. Many of us has the mahi mahi special which was less than satisfying in taste and size. Our server didn't check on us at all and even other employees showed annoyance when we had to request things. The inside of the restaurant was practically empty so I'm not sure why the service and time to get food was so poor. We used to love Stone Creek so I'm bummed to say we probably won't go out of our way to come back. read more

After dealing with exceptionally poor service elsewhere we decided to try something new to us. And it was amazing. Pleasant staff, great atmosphere and the best food I've had all blew us away. Whoever did the interior design did a great job, the inside was fresh and comfortable at the same time. It felt like a vacation. I usually don't gush on interior design, but this was exceptional. Service was warm and friendly. They all seemed proud of what they offered. Ready to listen and happy to help, they were (to a person) a joy. But the real star was the food. Fresh ingredients, everything made from scratch and amazing. We looked over the menus (luch, dinner and a special "Tasting" menu) and I was impressed by how well put together it all was. The twists they have are not for fashion, but flavor. Portion size and pairings were excellent, and the dessert menu sent us over the edge. This is a chef's restaurant. Anyone who understands things culinary will delight and totally geek out here. I was lucky enough to speak with the chef, and his love for his dishes is obvious. He truly enjoys his calling and it shows. We have found our new favorite place, and will return again (and again). read more

The bread they bring to the table - just wow. And the spicy oil they serve it with is so good. Those that ordered martinis said they were fantastic. One friend ordered a Paloma and the consensus was that it did not taste good. So if you're a fan of Palomas, maybe skip this one. Finally, the carrot cake - wow. It was so good and fell part perfectly. I'd definitely eat that again - hands down. The bread pudding was good, but not "knock your socks" off good. Will I come back? Perhaps? First the good- The patio on Montgomery Road is lovely, well shaded, tables spaced apart for privacy- Service was good- We had picked out what we were going to order prior- only to find the menu had changed. Here is our unvarnished opinions- - Hubby had the filet mignon, edible but not as good as Tony's Steakhouse.He said he would not order again, he didn't feel the steak was filet mignon. I had planned to order the short ribs over potatoes but the menu was changed to sweet potatoes- nope- I then ordered crab cake and risotto- thinking no one could ruin crabcakes.I was wrong- I HAVE NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE HAD A BAD CRAB CAKE until Stone Creek. Very thin, small with a decidedly off taste and incredibly salty. Burnt on the bottom as well. To be clear, they would taste better vomiting up than going down- INEDIBLE The parmesan risotto was excellent and the appetizer Triple Dip was innovative and delicious. We do try to support local and they have a nice outdoor patio- so will definitely give them another try...but will NOT be ordering the crab cakes TIP: BONEFISH and TONY's have excellent crabcakes. The short ribs our friend had looked great - will try and ask to substitute mashed potatoes or a side of polenta! I would still give this place a good look- local, clean, innovative menu- crab cakes need a makeover and for the price of filet - go to Tonys - quality did not equal the price here. Having said the above- we have plans to try them for lunch this week- its tough out there - always give the restaurant a 2nd chance. read more

We went here for a birthday dinner. There were several of us after appetizers and drinks one of the couples left saying we don't eat here anymore. Thought nothing of it. The rest of us ordered our meals. The food was a little slow in coming but that happens. I ordered a Wedge Salad with steak. I ordered medium rare with blue cheese dressing. What I got was a well done steak with some horrible dressing. I don't know what it was but it wasn't blue cheese. My wife ordered the shrimp and linguine. She said there were four medium shrimp in it. The lady on the other side of her order steak and fries. She ordered medium rare, it came burnt with greasy fries. She couldn't eat it. She complained to the manager when she stopped by but nothing came of it. When we got our part of the bill it came to over $250. I can easily find some place else for dinner in Montgomery. Looking for a brunch restaurant this past Sunday, Stone Creek fit the bill. Nice menu with both breakfast and lunch selections. Tables were well spaced and the restaurant has high ceilings so you did not feel crowded at all. We also had two senior citizens with us who were able to join in the discussion since the noise level was low. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. That being said, Stonecreek since it opened has been my staple go to for the following: business lunches, family celebrations, and romantic dinners. I love their newer spot the bar is so much roomier and the fireplace presents well especially in the cooler months. Ambiance aside, the food is ALWAYS delicious. When I say I have dined here ALOT, this is NOT an understatement. From salads to appetizers to entrees they have not once disappointed my palate. Our Stone Creek Montgomery group dinner for fifteen or so was a rousing success. We had a very nice private room in the back and our meal started off with a feast of appetizer platters and bowls. I saw chorizo, capicola, pepperoni, manchego and smoked cheddar slices, stuffed peppadew peppers, and crostini toasts. Our dinner then included a salad, a choice of entrée, and desserts. The House Salad was a good-sized portion and tasted great - mixed greens, red onion, cheddar, mozzarella, bruschetta tomato, alfalfa sprout, and sunflower seeds! For my entrée, I chose the Orange Miso Salmon in a ginger-soy sauce, served with two sesame rice cakes, leeks, spinach, asparagus, and scallions. This was EXCELLENT!! Yes, the salmon was perfect, but I think the star(s) of my plate were the rice cakes. They looked like big giant croutons, but they were pressed blocks of rice that were amazing when broken down and mixed with that orange ginger soy sauce. Dessert was a family style platter with big hunks of a Chocolate Terrine, Carrot Cake wedge, and a Bread Pudding slab. Stone Creek sure fed us and treated us very well. read more

We popped in after finding out that the wait for Toast & Berry next door was going to be more than 1.5 hours. We were seated immediately and enjoyed food from the brunch menu. The shrimp and grits were very cheesy and had good flavor, but only came with 3 shrimp. The mimosa ratio was a little heavy on the orange juice, and the seasonal cocktails were still Christmas & Thanksgiving theme despite it being June. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Average prices these days. Nice and clean (even the bathroom). Sat across from the bar high top table, and I think my husband's chair was broken because he sat lower. Our server was nice. The hot, soft bread and olive oil dip was delicious, but beware the dip has a kick. I got the Fireside Fettuccine, and seriously, they could have left off the meats, and you would not be disappointed. It is that good. My husband ordered the Salmon salad and a cup of white chicken chili and the fried green tomato appetizer. I am not a fan of the fried green tomato, so hard for me to judge theirs.
