Ordered Fired Pie To-Go for dinner on Friday night. The experience was good. The food was done before our estimated time, which is always a plus, especially on a Friday night. The staff were very busy, so there was no greeting as we walked in. Nobody even asked if they could help us as we walked aimlessly towards the back where the registers are. There is no clear indication on where to pick online orders up at. That is something I highly recommend that they add inside. We felt a bit uncomfortable walking past everyone who's in line to go up to the front counter and wait to ask how we pickup our order. Went here and there was no line. It looks like there was a large mobile order placed, so they used their available personnel to fulfill the order, and made the walk ins wait. I waited 15 minutes before walking out. That's extremely poor customer service and allocation of personnel to make the walk ins wait. It takes but maybe 5 mins to assist the line and jump back to your massive mobile order. Better training would resolve this. read more

I really like Fired Pie. I wish I could give five stars, because my pizza was really good, but the crazy service there makes that fourth star really pushing it. If you haven't been here, it's kind of like the Subway of pizza. Go down the line picking what you want to put on your pizza and they'll fire it and bring it to your table. They also have me to order salads and pizza cookies with ice cream. You can choose between two different red sauces, one traditional and one chunky, and a white sauce. Choose your cheese, or in my case, cheeses, and then the rest of your toppings. There are a variety of meats and veggies to choose from. One of the things that I don't like it's that a lot of the toppings are marinated or sauteed, when I'd rather have them cut up in their natural, raw state. But it's fine - - I created an amazing Pizza with red sauce, feta, mozzarella, parmesan, meatballs, spicy sausage, capicola, tomatoes, and roasted garlic. It was kind of a masterpiece! This is where my issue comes in. When we got there there were people ahead of us in line. The employees were placing uncooked pizzas on a table and what appeared to be no particular order. They were just stacking up waiting to go into the fire. What that means is that they're kind of randomly fired in no particular order. The two other people on my order got their pizzas way before I got mine, and we're half done by the time I got mine. The people in front of us in line hadn't gotten theirs at all. When I finally went in search of my pizza, I got to the counter and saw the girl with seven or eight pizzas in front of her. Instead of getting one order out and then going back to the next order, she had everyone's order sitting out. She was trimming off the burned parts of the crust, going through each one slicing them. Now, I've never worked for a restaurant, but I might try to get those orders out in order instead of letting them all stack up. Another group was joking with us as we watched this young girl just playing around with eight finished pizzas instead of just getting them out to the diners. We ordered 6 pizzas online and picked up in the store. My experience was atrocious at this location. The food was poor quality with burnt crust. They forgot one of our pizzas completely and when I called the manager I believe Rosy first off accused me of lying when I said my daughter picked up our order as she said only a "male" came in last night to pick up the order (her boyfriend while she was in the car) and I am not even sure why that mattered. When I discussed the burnt crust her only response was I was here and I was. It on the oven so I don't know. The correct response is an apology for sending out food that looked the way that it did. So we were going to simply get a replacement pizza for the one that was missing. However my daughter ended up not having time to go by and pick up so I called for a refund. She then could not find the order to issue a refund. So now I either have to go back with my receipt which I have to get a pizza or a refund. While looking for a late lunch in a sea of fast food facilities, Fired Pie fit the bill. I was drawn in by their lunch special, but was told that at 2:59 PM they no longer honored the special, which was a bit disappointing since the sign was still out front. However, the made-for-you-fast pizza was tasty and served quickly. Made to order right in front of you. A little pricey, but you'll leave with leftovers. Always a plus in my book if they serve Mt Dew! Inside, they have some really cool street photography and artwork that really brought that intercity pizza joint vibe to it. I came in to get some pizza around 11 and I walked in to an empty store. I thought they weren't open yet so I was about to leave but then I heard some giggling coming from the back. The employees were in the back throwing something at each other and laughing. When they finally got done playing a girl with blueish green hair walked out and finally noticed me standing in the dining room. I asked for a pizza and she rolled her eyes at me. Another employee walked out and the blue haired girl pointed to me almost as if to say "Take care of this." As the employee was making my pizza the blue haired girl stood near the oven with her arms crossed, frowning and staring at me like I just ruined the fun they were having in the back. Just then someone from the back yelled "Alena, you got to come see this" and the blue haired girl walked in the back leaving my pizza in the oven unattended. When I finally got my pizza it was crispy and black at the bottom. I asked the blue haired girl if I could get a refund or another pizza and she refused. She said I would have to talk to Micheal or Doug and that it "wasn't her problem." Luckily for her, I was on my lunch break and hungry so I didn't argue or cause a scene. The service was terrible on the night before Thanksgiving. We walked in around 8pm and too many employees were avoiding doing a job to provide service. The one person making pizza was talking to her friend and we were not even greeted. 2 employees were standing at the oven and one at the register and still nothing. Our pizzas were made without the toppings and then someone came over to add the toppings to our pizza. We had to ask for extra toppings as when we asked for chicken then put 5 pieces on one of the pizzas. At this point al the employees were just not interested in helping and customers. Our pizzas were brought to us and thrown down on the table because the guy brought the hot trays and said his hands were burning. By 840 they were putting up chairs in all the empty tables and one person came over to ask us if we had any trash to take when we were still eating our pizzas. There was only one cheese shaker and it was empty. I saw one food delivery person come in to pick up an order. She was turned away with no pizza for delivery. She definitely looked disappointed. Husband got the HI BBQ pizza which so was very good, kids got pepperoni & pep/pineapple. The pizza sauce was light so we asked that they put more on & it wasn't a problem. The cheeses are fresh, the topping choices are plentiful, and the red sauce is what pizza dreams are made of! The food here is always good. Absolutely no issues there. But the service from my visit yesterday was not great. Staff was unbelievably slow despite there only being one other customer when I arrived. I had a to-go order and was there for 35 minutes when other times, I'd be in and out in about 10. From what I could tell, the dough wasn't prepped. There also seemed to be some mobile orders they were working on. As someone who's worked in customer service before, I get that there can be some setbacks during a shift. But I wish they would've told us and given an estimate of how long it would take for them to be able to fulfill the orders. If I had known I was going to have to wait 35 minutes, I would've left; but at least I wouldn't have had such a bad experience. The staff also seemed very distracted. A dark haired boy kept checking his phone while pizzas were in the oven. A dark haired girl went to the back to get more marinara and was back there for about 5 minutes. She wasn't even the one to come back with the sauce. Customers would arrive and staff wouldn't acknowledge them; they'd talk and make jokes amongst themselves. I'm not sure if there's different management or if employees are new but this is definitely not how this location used to be. read more

I have to say, this establishment has some of the BEST customer service I've ever experienced. This was a "do-over" visit I ordered for pickup after a prior experience via delivery didn't go so well. And, they've turned my opinion around & I'm happy to be leaving 5 stars! They truly earned it. They have an app, and I didn't realize that. It makes things a bit more easy & convenient, but the downfall: you cannot place orders through the app. You still have to go to their website or call them in. I hope they can expand their app to offer ordering directly, in the future, especially if it's possible through 3rd party platforms. I also wasn't able to order online through the website because of credits I was using. No biggie- it wasn't a hassle to call in. I had these credits because of my prior delivery order. And, I have to give MAJOR props to Fred, the owner. He reached out to me & immediately wanted to know what the issue was, how they could improve & placed a credit on my account to give them another shot- I'm so glad I did! It was more than worth it. And, upon this communication, I also learned this is a locally owned business. All the more worth supporting! My pickup order this evening was pretty "early", around 4pm. The place was fantastically clean! Pretty much empty inside, which also made it very easy to checkout & be on my way to enjoy. I found it a little ironic the lady who answered my call to order was also named Angie, lol. And, she was very pleasant! Professional, helpful & friendly. The demeanor was just as delightful when I arrived to pickup my order. Herself & the other young lady helping me checkout were very nice & left me feeling like a valued customer. From ordering to pickup- it was 15 minutes- not bad at all for a Friday! Ready & waiting when I arrived. I got home with two, fresh custom pizzas & their delightful pookie. Both pizzas were spot-on as I ordered, and SO much better than the last round! Perfect crust, plenty of toppings & fantastic flavor. They use fresh ingredients in comparison to other chains, and I don't think you can beat the price point, as all toppings (no matter how many) are included in the base price for a custom creation! I don't have a single thing to say that is less than positive about this visit & experience. I'd like to thank Fred, Angie & the rest of the team behind the scenes here because this really WAS worth a do-over, and I'd totally recommend Fired Pie at Mesa Riverview! They are pretty good and it is nice that they have vegan cheese and vegan chorizo, but they were a bit stingy on all their toppings, especially the cheese. For a nearly $10 pizza, they should be a bit more generous on the toppings. The place was clean and the staff were fairly friendly. Our kids enjoyed their cheese and sausage pizza, but my husband and I were a bit disappointed with ours. I don't know if we will choose to visit again anytime soon. We've ordered from this place three times already. All three times the DoorDasher got here very quickly and yet the pies were cold. The most recent order were two 2-topping pies one of which only came with one topping, and neither of them had cheese despite them being cheese, pizzas. Both the pizzas were overcooked to the extent of being cracker like. We've had previous mediocre experiences with them, and right now we're just fed up and will never order with them again. Friday pizza night! Friday night is a pizza night at my house and we picked this place tonight as we were at a dealership across the street from here. I was going to order online directly from the Yelp app but the person I was chatting at the dealership said, just walk in so I can choose any toppings I want and they bake fast. Walking in at a prime dinner time, welcomed by a friendly staff. We ordered a few different pies, one each. Everyone ordered what they wanted. I had pesto chicken per recommendation and I am glad I ordered this one. I only got to eat a half of the pie as my family ate the rest. It was so good they wished they ordered this one too. I was in your store the other day and the manager of this store is rude and when customer come in he runs to the back yelling at his employees to do this and to do that. All he did was stand in the back and did nothing but yell at the employees working. You come in to eat dinner and that's the last thing you want to hear after a long day of work. I honestly think the manger doesnt know what he is doing or doesn't want to work. He stood there the whole time we were in the store and did nothing but play on his phone and yell at his employees. Came back in for lunch yesterday and saw the manger run to the back of the store again and start yelling at his employees. I will not return to this store as long as he is the manager. He makes it very uncomfortable and I don't get good vibes from him. All the employees but him are friendly and polite and hard workers. How did he get the manager position? The only reason they managed to get two stars is because the food was cooked correctly. Man, where do I begin with this location? I've been to enough Fired Pies to know how they typically run. This location did everything wrong that you possibly could. When we got there, the girl starting us off with dough never asked us our name or if it was for here or to go. After getting us down the line, we were held up by a few people ahead of us. We watched the guy grab our pies and mix them with the order ahead of us. Up to paying, we were never asked if they were to go or not. My mom alerted them it was to go. This was after her pizza was put in the over separately from mine. Eventually, they put mine in. By the time they did this, mom's pizza was already ready. While waiting for my pizza to get done, I watched a guy fumble with garlic knots. He was folding, unfolding them, cutting them and generally looked to either be stalling for now, or had no clue what he was doing. I'm not sure if this is a brand new crew, but it's amazing we got our pizzas in a decent time, let alone correct. Honestly, I would avoid this location. If you are alone, you might get lucky. But if you are in a group, or ordering online, I don't like your chances of getting anything correct or in a timely manner. read more

Staff were talking about a previous staff member that had quit and while I was waiting for my pizza I could hear them asking who it goes to or where because I wasn't given a table number. When my brother in law ordered a cookie they initially burnt the cookie, offered to remake if he felt it was too burnt. This took almost half an hour or more, when he finally went to check on it, a blonde girl began to argue with him when he was just trying to find out what happened, she refused to give her name and stated there was no manager on site when he asked for a name and number to call she refused to give it and continued to be rude. The situation escalated over a cookie on her end because as it was said "they were having a busy day" which there was only our party and two others outside on the patio. There was a man named Trey who was very polite, respectful and apologized for the way the girl reacted. Awful Experience. On January 24, 2025, I placed an online order for 4 pizzas to pick up at 6 pm. The order stated that it would be ready for pick up at 6:30. We arrived right at 6:30 (there were only 3 staff) he had to speak to 2 staff to only learn the order would be ready in 10 minutes. We noticed a staff with a pizza trying to find the person who ordered it. He seemed frustrated and returned to kitchen and then dropped the pizza on the floor. He did not pick it up. My husband took a photo. After 15 minutes he approached another staff who stated that the order had not been placed yet, but that they would get on it right away. It is now 7pm. My husband was now told the order was never built or put in the oven. At this time another staff came in from outside, washed his hands and got to work. It appeared he had his act together, so my husband thought there could be some hope. The new staff told my husband that he would get right on it. He called me to share the information and I said, just get a refund and we will order from another place. At 7:30, another customer came to front and requested a refund. Then the staff member said to my husband, let me just give you a refund because the order had still not be started. No additional consolation, "hey can we give a coupon for a future time" This was an 1 hour and a half to get nothing. This was so very frustrating as we had a family of six at home waiting to eat.
