    French Onion Dumpling Soup
    Therese B.

Delicious food, especially the French onion dumplings soup. The server was very friendly and attentive. The building's ambiance added to our experience.

Firehouse is a delight of Egg Harbor City. Nice pub/restaurant feel. Very friendly staff. Great draft beer selection, signature cocktails and awesome daily food specials. I've been stopping in quite a few times over the past few months. The food is always fresh and delicious! Give Fireshouse a visit. Ask for Taylor (manager/bartender) She's awesome!!

Awesome place to hang out. Home of the 965'ers. You like to have reunions they're every 6 months or so. Great beer catalog and even better food.

    Dispute

I went here for a private event, opened a tab, charged 6 drinks on my tab and was in the end charged more. I disputed it with my bank but they advised me to call the business first. I had to call twice in different days to get a call back from the manager, after saying someone would call back in minutes. The second time I called the person who picked up already had my info, so they were aware and I believe management was choosing to not call back as I then had a quite demeaning encounter once she did. Nicole Kraus called back, she was unpleasant and very defensive. Every time I would say something she would not even let me explain my perception, from the start she stated she knew what I was calling about and "that did not happen". Stated they did not save an itemized receipt or a signed receipt. I disputed this the following day after event and she accused me of not doing so, but I assured her I did. I did not call the restaurant immediately after since I thought my bank would deal with it better. I at no point was looking for my entire charge back only what did not belong to me. They had over a dozen tabs open, and over 40 people, so I could see human error happening but she had a very nasty attitude and stated she worked the event and would remember. Her and her husband worked the bar apparently. The food was mediocre for the event, food was cold, would not go back after the interaction with the manager Nicole. I don't think this is the way to speak to a customer whether you believe they are wrong or not, manners should always be there and from the first words during our call she was very impolite. I would give it 0 stars if able to. I also attached a screenshot of my actual dispute due to the reply I received on Google reviews, as she continued to be defensive. On there you can see this owner needs some training on how to speak to others. I would not lie about the date, I disputed this right away but it closed a month later and today is January 3rd, the day we spoke. The event was 11/23 and my bank had to wait for the charge to completely process on 11/26, which as seen is listed as date of dispute. Hopefully they take the feedback and apply it appropriately to their business. Thank you.

Great idea, turning an old firehouse into a restaurant!! They have old pics on the wall showing history of the firehouse. The adult beverage selection is vast. Strong beer menu, and unique cocktails, as well as wine. We enjoyed the Philly pork, a must try as they put their spin on it. It came with beer battered fries, yum! You can get a salad instead of the fries if you are watching the waste line lol. The wings were tasty too!! Definitely a place to visit!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious food and great service we received. We were riding around shopping and decided to give Firehouse a try... my husband had pizza with arugula and prosciutto and I tried the Honeycrisp Apple Salad ... both were yummy... a definite try again!!

My husband and I came here and sat at the bar and the food and drinks were great!! We have been back multiple times with our daughters (2 and 6 months) and have enjoyed our food and service every time! We usually go fairly early for dinner (5ish) so it's never busy but I've heard it does get busy on a Friday night. Pizzas are wonderful, we've tried both the meatball and the prosciutto and arugula. Nachos are awesome but best if all I highly recommend the gochujang wings!!! They keep me coming back for sure!

Nice place. Good pizza. Was a little surprised a glass of wine was $18. I'll drink beer next time.

So glad that we did because it was excellent with great staff. We all really enjoyed the food. I loved my crab cake sandwich. It was so moist and flavorful. My husband loved his turkey platter. The gravy was delicious and the turkey was moist. My father in law enjoyed his burger. It was a good menu and tight in the middle of the cute little town. Would love to go back and try other things.

Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout. We won't be back, and do not recommend.

The draft beer selection is great and they have a nice variety of wines and specialty cocktails. The service this time was unfortunately lacking, although the server was very pleasant and efficient as much as he could be. The problem is that he was the only one serving in a very crowded table area. I was going to give four stars for this review because of the service, but I know from past experience that this was not the norm.
