The only thing I didn't like Was that the stairs were pretty steep and when you're holding an event, not everyone is young. Nice clean venue. Seating is at the bar a couple of high tops and low tables. There is a pool table with room around it to play. Bathroom is clean and well supplied. Menu has a good variety of items. There are a few veg items including the Edamame felafel sandwich on pita. Fries are crispy and not greasy. Felafel is crispy outside and still moist inside. The salads were large. Pretty good craft beer selection with a number of Jersey beers. Parking is street and was plentiful when we were there. read more

I've been on the hunt for the best French Onion Soup and by FAR in my young 52 years, did this soup win!! It was perfect!!

Ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived cold. The pizza was okay--looked like a 5th grader made it. Cheap cheese, but the sauce was surprisingly good and kind of saved it. The wings were big and had great sauce, probably the best part of the meal. Fries didn't look like the picture and were just your standard Cisco fries. I really do enjoy this place, if I don't have a large group of people with me. When I went with one other person everything went quick and was good. I went with 8 other people on two separate occasions (and they wernt busy either time) and that's where it got a little iffy. We all ordered our food at the same time. But the food took extremely long to start coming out. Now most restaurants will bring the whole tables food out at the same time. Nope.... Some got their appetizers after the actual meal was brought to others. Some of us also didn't get our actual meal until 80% of the table was already finished eating. I do really enjoy going to this bar & grill, their pork chops are to die for. But if you have more than three or four people I'd say don't go. Great idea, turning an old firehouse into a restaurant!! They have old pics on the wall showing history of the firehouse. The adult beverage selection is vast. Strong beer menu, and unique cocktails, as well as wine. We enjoyed the Philly pork, a must try as they put their spin on it. It came with beer battered fries, yum! I went here for a private event, opened a tab, charged 6 drinks on my tab and was in the end charged more. I disputed it with my bank but they advised me to call the business first. I had to call twice in different days to get a call back from the manager, after saying someone would call back in minutes. The second time I called the person who picked up already had my info, so they were aware and I believe management was choosing to not call back as I then had a quite demeaning encounter once she did. Nicole Kraus called back, she was unpleasant and very defensive. Every time I would say something she would not even let me explain my perception, from the start she stated she knew what I was calling about and "that did not happen". Stated they did not save an itemized receipt or a signed receipt. I disputed this the following day after event and she accused me of not doing so, but I assured her I did. I did not call the restaurant immediately after since I thought my bank would deal with it better. I at no point was looking for my entire charge back only what did not belong to me. They had over a dozen tabs open, and over 40 people, so I could see human error happening but she had a very nasty attitude and stated she worked the event and would remember. Her and her husband worked the bar apparently. The food was mediocre for the event, food was cold, would not go back after the interaction with the manager Nicole. I don't think this is the way to speak to a customer whether you believe they are wrong or not, manners should always be there and from the first words during our call she was very impolite. I would give it 0 stars if able to. I also attached a screenshot of my actual dispute due to the reply I received on Google reviews, as she continued to be defensive. On there you can see this owner needs some training on how to speak to others. I would not lie about the date, I disputed this right away but it closed a month later and today is January 3rd, the day we spoke. The event was 11/23 and my bank had to wait for the charge to completely process on 11/26, which as seen is listed as date of dispute. Hopefully they take the feedback and apply it appropriately to their business. Thank you. read more

Really delicious food and great presentation of each dish. Enjoyed a special tomato curry soup and French onion soup. Both were packed with flavor. Also had a flame broiled burger with a charged onion that was on par for a pub burger. Lastly had a dessert from the specials menu. My husband and I came here and sat at the bar and the food and drinks were great!! We have been back multiple times with our daughters (2 and 6 months) and have enjoyed our food and service every time! We usually go fairly early for dinner (5ish) so it's never busy but I've heard it does get busy on a Friday night. Pizzas are wonderful, we've tried both the meatball and the prosciutto and arugula. Nachos are awesome but best if all I highly recommend the gochujang wings!!! They keep me coming back for sure! read more

This is our first time to Firehouse Bar and Grill after it changed hands from the previous spot called Leatherheads. Apparently the Chef of Leatherheads reopened this location. I'll be transparent in saying that we went here for one of our favorite bartenders and also found out that a waitress we knew worked here. Both of whom are very friendly and attentive. That being said, I'm writing this review with an open mind and no bias to the people we know. The beer selection is great and varied which I like. They also have some nice specialty cocktail and wine selection. My wife ordered the stuffed grilled cheese panini which I assumed was very good since she ate every last bite of the sandwich. I was hoping to try a bit, but that didn't happen, lol. It's a compliment to the chef since she usually brings home leftovers. I had the Edamame Falafel Sandwich with a side Caesar. The sandwich was good and the napa slaw gave it a nice crunch. I think I would have liked to have more of the Falafel as some of the bites didn't contain some of the falafel. However, the side Caesar was great. It was perfectly dressed, not overly dressed as some restaurants, and was very tasty. The croutons were also very good. I might add the Caesar salad as one of my regular items when we return. The pricing is a little high, but the quality is worth it. read more

Service and management are awful. I waited an hour and twenty minutes and still didn't have food or a manager come over and apologize about the wait. We ordered drinks and they came right out. My wife ordered an appetizer and a second drink along with my second drink and they only brought out my drink. We had to ask again for her second drink before it came. Nearly every table had a pizza on it, but we opted for single entrees, the Cowboy Steak, the Double Burger, the Shrimp Po Boy, and I had the Seafood Linguini which was Blue Ribbon! Went to eat there after a few chances and the food has improved tremendously! Wait staff was good but had a problem with the bar tender. She walked through the restaurant multiple times with a lit cigarette in her mouth. When asked for Sambucca to add to my coffee in a snifter she came with the sambucca in a shaker container with ice!!!! This firehouse is a beautiful place and needs good management. Friday night at dinnertime and the only ones in there, hmmm, I wonder why. Windows open and loud traffic. Paid $17 for 2 pieces of bread, one slice of cheese and a couple sliced veggies and they called it a stuffed grilled cheese panini (not a panini-it was not even pressed)! Our waitress, Sierra, was too busy on her cell phone to pay attention and 10 minutes after my husband asked for a second beer, she got off her phone and picked it up at the bar. NEVER asked to refill my empty glass sitting in front of me until AFTER she brought our check! My husband had a Cowboy steak sandwich which he enjoyed and said his draft beer was good, but we won't be returning. read more

This is the second time we have been here the first time we thought it was not worth the price we paid for the quality and quantity of food. We were hoping this new happy hour would have been the new breath of life that this place needed but was pretty underwhelmed. The pizza and the nachos were a decent deal but they offer a can of PBR while other places in the area offer any domestic 22oz draft for the same price and their $12 strawberry mojito took 15+ minutes to get to the table and was very weak. Moving onto the food you pay $10 for two tiny sliders when you can pay $12 at places down the road and get a full burger meal. The wings you pay $2 a wing and they come over cooked. Overall, this place is a a disappointment to say the least. I really wanted this place to do good given the vicinity of our house to the location but after giving this place a second chance I don't think a third chance will be a possibility. read more
