I enjoy the food here very much. I try and eat here 1 time a week. Great specials but hurry in because the do run out of the favorites.

Brought a party of 18 family members on a Saturday at 10am. Hostess was friendly and accommodating and communicated frequently on table status and as our count crept up she didn't flinch and kept it moving. Service was amazing and food was outstanding. Had lots of kids with us so all the firehouse paraphernalia kept them occupied, plus the bowl of lollipops! We almost went elsewhere but I'm glad we chose this place! The firehouse cafe as always was clean. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. We were only there less than a minute and our order was taken. It only took 4 minutes to get our food and when we did get our food it was hot and delicious. the pancake I ordered was as big as the plate. The breakfast taco that my guest had was humongous and almost as long as the oval plate. While we ate the waitress kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. read more

Love the breakfast here. I never really noticed the place, but my neighbor had introduced me to it and we go about every weekend. I haven't tried their lunch yet since we always go for their breakfast and get their taco or burrito and we make it as hot as can be. We have been to the Firehouse twice now and both times we have thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is full of flavor (better than average breakfast) and the service was on par. It remains busy but there is always someone there to make sure you are taken care of. Down side: Portion sizes are massive which I think is a little much and there is not a waiting area. We got a beverage order in shortly after seating ourselves but no one ever returned to take our food order, yet a couple that came in 5-10 minutes had their order taken shortly after sitting. I come here on a regular basis. The wait staff is great and so is the food. This is the first restaurant that I have been to that knows how to cook over medium eggs. I have them put the eggs on top of my toast and get some sausage and mix it in with my hash browns. I especially like the "Spot" login. I think it is the only restaurant in town that uses it. read more

"good ol' southern breakfast". They were super friendly as well! We had a group of 10 and they were packed. They told us to give them a few minutes and they would get us seated. Sure enough they worked diligently to seat us. The food was excellent. Some people in our party had the smothered breakfast thing (eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and biscuit under gravy). We just love Firehouse. If we go anywhere in Granbury for breakfast, it's always Firehouse. Hubs always has the chicken fried steak and eggs and I always get the loaded breakfast taco. I walk in & it was packed. Not a single person greeted me. I had to ask if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. They said sit wherever. I found a seat at the bar. It looked like someone had just finished & all they did was slide the dirty dishes to the other side directly in front of me. Those dishes stayed there the entire time I was there. My drink & then food order were quickly taken. They left the menu instead of taking it. So I receive my food then an employee starts eating from the plates in front of me. So apparently those "dirty dishes" were community food because at least 2 different employees ate from the same plates. I ordered a waffle, bacon, and hashbrowns. The waffle was awful. It disintegrated when I cut into it. Then was dry & flavorless to the point I had to drown it with more syrup than I normally use. I only ate it because I was hungry since I didn't eat during my 12 hour overnight shift that I just got off of. The bacon was cooked perfectly. It was thick & flavorful. Unlike most places than only give 2 slices, they give 4! No one ever came to me to ask how I was doing or if I liked the food. The hashbrowns were cooked good. Not to greasy or super crunchy. The salsa I asked for had a good flavor & an equally good bite. If you can't tell I wrote this while I was there. I couldn't finish the waffle. I put my trash on the plate gen proceeded to eat my hashbrowns. Yet still no one came to clear the plate or ask how I was doing. I finished then paid. They still never asked how I liked it. WOW!!!
