I ordered a pick up 30 minutes before taking my lunch break and when I got there there was a bunch of kids in front of me so i asked one of the guys if they can check on my food and he looked at me like i was crazy and told me that i have to make the line for a pickup ! Ownership has changed, however, the quality of food and service has not. Stopped in this morning, after not being there for a while, and got the sandwich on their breakfast. Menu called the Cornell. Basically a pastrami, egg and cheese. I added hot cherry peppers. I told them I wanted a lot of them. Aside from the fact that I got close to the same amount, I believe, as they would put on a pastrami sandwich as a lunch sandwich, it was smothered in cherry peppers. Eggs were cooked perfect. Loved it. Once again, Yelpers sent me to the right place. This is a wonderful small place that is mostly counters and no seats. The lines are long, but move quickly. You come for the food at reasonable prices. I skipped the interesting sandwiches and went for the hot food. I wish that I could tell you the name of what I ordered. It was a saucy chunked chicken and potatoes mix that I had served over rice. It was a little spicy and a lot excellent. It was filling. And, unbelievably, just $6. Cannot say enough good things about Rinaldi's Country Deli in Cos Cob! The staff is all very friendly and the charm of the building is delightful. It really feels like an old fashioned deli you'd stop at along a dirt road. Perhaps more importantly, the food is prepared quickly and tastes great. Whenever I'm greeted with a smile,I'm committed. And for three days straight this small deli made my breakfast to order in a timely fashion with out over charging like most delis in the area seem to do. They have a variety of drinks and snack and the prepared lunch looks great. The staff even when they are busy take the time to get your order correct and you out the door happy. Parking can be a little crazy but if you wait a good minute the cars seem to pull up and off within minutes. Overall I love this place and will continue to spend my mornings here whenever I'm in the area for work. read more

The chicken sandwiches are excellent. I had one with bacon, avocado, and honey mustard. The chicken has a nice Cajun rub, the honey mustard an excellent tang, and the flavors all meld together really well. I've never met anybody who didn't LOVE anything they got from Rinaldis. The Bacon Egg and Cheese with hot sauce is my favorite dish. I went there and took my mask off to taste my coffee to see If it put enough milk and the guy with pony tail got super rude " put your mask on while you're in here" which is totally understandable in covid times, so I did put my mask on right away and apologized. Then I realize the same guy is walking around making sandwiches with no gloves on, wiping his nose, and throwing bacon on peoples sandwiches and that's what got me really mad, saw other people writing the same complaint so hopefully the management will take care of it. read more

Rinaldi's is everything a local Italian deli should be. Top-quality food: the meats are all Boars Head Brand and almost everything else is handmade and prepared by the sisters who own and run the place, Antoinette and Michelle. The steam table always has delicious options like their amazing Sausage and Peppers, Eggplant Parmesan, Meatloaf, and usually a pasta option. Everything down to the bread is amazing on their sandwiches and their range of sandwich options is immense. The Bruin and The Hanna are definitely crowd pleasers but sandwiches like The Fresh, The Dude, The Beast, and The Navy Seal are sure to get anyone's mouth watering. What a great deli! I had the millbrook sandwich on a roll and it was delicious! It had avocado, cones, chicken cutlet and bacon! So yummy! It tasted so fresh. We used to drop in here after walking the dogs at Mianus River Park. When in the area, we still return. The people are friendly and the sandwiches are really good. It gets a lot of business from landscapers and construction workers which I use as a benchmark for quality and price. It has on/off street parking that can be hard to navigate because of the 5-way intersection. In nice weather, there are outdoor tables for eating. read more

Rinaldi's was the first deli I visited when I moved to town (back when there was a Corbo's in Cos Cob. Yeesh.) It was my favorite then and it's still my favorite now... 6 years later. The staff is super nice. The sandwiches and hot food are good. Mmmm love the home fries. Make sure you get there before 10am on Saturdays, or you'll miss 'em. I agree with Colleen, I had lived in Greenwich 17 yrs and have never gone to Rinaldis (it's a horrible location and I lived closer to the Banks ville area). Anyways, so I work with clients close to Rinaldis and forgot my lunch today so I decided to go in and get a sandwich. Nobody greeted me when I walked in even though I said hello to everyone. A few seconds later some construction workers come in and the old ladies that I guess own the place and some of the other employees were on top of greeting them and making them feel welcome. I guess they don't want new customers. As I was looking over the sandwich menu this guy came up to me and said those are just suggestions. It was super weird, I've never been told what I should do at a deli or restaurant. I wanted to get a sandwich off the menu. When I proceed to order I made a mistake and ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a roll and the same guy said excuse me which sandwich (he heard me perfectly well) but then I realized I had to order by number. Weird place, those people are rude! I will never go back there and the sandwich isn't even all that. Do yourself a favor and if you're new don't waste your money there. read more

Rinaldi's is located on Orchard Street, a side street just off the Post Road. They sell many breakfast and lunch sandwiches, along with an assortment of snacks and drinks. There isn't any sitting area inside, because the building that it's housed in is relatively small, but there are some nice benches outside for good weather. Their sandwiches are big, juicy (where applicable), and reasonably priced. One of my favorites from Rinaldi's is The Bass, a nice spicy chicken sandwich on a wedge. Some other sandwiches that deserve some note are their bruins and their breakfast sandwiches. Their bruins, in my opinion, are the best in Cos Cob. And their breakfast sandwiches are more varied than Cardillo's, but their bacon egg and cheeses are still a hair inferior to those from Cardillo's. read more
