Excellent customer service. We were seated immediately!! I ordered the Reuben with a side of Cole slaw. This is the best Reuben I've had in the Twin Cities. Oh man I could eat the Cole slaw by it self. My wife had the fish tacos that were magnificent! Joli was a great server! The food exceeded my expectations based on the other reviews I saw. The pretzel bites were delicious and the fried pickles were fabulous. My 40 something coworker said the artichoke dip was "bussin'", and I enjoyed my mac n' cheese pizza. The tater tots were nothing crazy, but you can't go wrong with a tot. We've been to Fireside for dinner where service and food were both great, worth five stars. BUT, we tried breakfast for the first time....not so good, thus one star. We walked in, there was no sign to wait to be seated, we waited and did not see servers or hosts. There was a moderate crowd. After hearing positive experiences at this restaurant, I found myself in the area and finally tried it out. Glad I did, because everything was excellent. I tried a slice of my friend's buffalo chicken pizza and ordered a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings. This was one of the best friend sandwiches I've had. It was super crunchy and fried to perfection - not greasy like some places serve. It wasn't dipped in sauce, but I ordered a side or ranch to enjoy with it. Will definitely be back. There are a lot of Asian inspired dishes that caught my eye as well. Our server was attentive and informed us about the menu and her favorite choices. She also mentioned she enjoys their food when she's off the clock. You know it's good! A colleague had told me about how great this place was back in March. So good that she went back 3 times in one week-- I knew I had to try it. Last night a friend and I had dinner here around 8:00pm-ish. Restaurant was quiet. Our server was friendly and attentive. I informed her we'd never been here before and asked if she had any recommendations which she did and she even shared when she isn't working she comes here to eat. Lots to pick from on the menu. I ended up going with the Buffalo chicken pizza. Very flavorful and cooked just right. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is tucked away in like a strip mall..... hidden little gem. We used to come here all of the time. So many bad experiences kept me away for several years. This visit I went solo for lunch. The menu has been updated. Mostly burgers and pizza with some meals, pastas and salads. A newer item is the Mushroom Gnocchi (I added shrimp). The gnocchi itself was very good and homemade. The mushrooms were fresh and had good flavor. Six delightful, nice sized shrimp were a great add-on. But all of that is swimming in way too much sauce. At least twice as much as necessary. Service is almost non-existent. There weren't many diners at lunch but everything was slow. Ten minutes to order, 25 minutes for food and no check. I had to go to the stand to pay. Have had good stuff here and not so good. The good...I really like the chicken sandwich and had a wonderful bowl of chicken wild rice soup. Staff also get your orders in quickly and are good at refilling your glass. Not so good...had a mushroom Swiss burger and it was awful. Pretty sure the burgers are frozen patties and didn't have that ooey gooey mushroom Swiss topping you would expect; was extremely dry. This week's takeout was from Fireside in Rosemount. This has been a common hangout for us after movies. Their convenient location, lots of TVs and a next door hockey rink make it a good sports hangout. Our take out was lettuce wraps, chicken bacon ranch wrap, and Parmesan crusted walleye. I didn't get a pic of the walleye because daughter refused to put the nice steamed broccoli on her plate and the pic needed some color :-). I have some excellent leftover steamed broccoli now. I had the lettuce wraps. I liked how they kept the parts separate so the chicken marinaded in the sauce and the crispy topping stayed crisp until I got home. Everything was good. Servers wear masks so I expected no facial expression but attitudes and greetings should still be demonstrated, especially at a sport bar environment. My server was not very welcome and kept wanting to take the menu away even though I said I would like to order to-go. Someone must be drunk to enjoy this place and their foods. BONELESS CHICKEN WINGS: breaded chicken tender tossed in your chosen sauce. SHRIMP POBOY: slightly breaded shrimps in greasy fried hot dog buns with lettuce and wet tomatoes next to oily tasteless fries. My brother and I both ordered the fish and chips, super excited given again our previous meals. However, upon arrival we received only one piece of fish and very few 'chips'. The fish was way over fried with way too much batter, and even worse, absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I recently attended my sister's engagement party here, which was set up in the banquet room of the restaurant. First- the space was nice and cozy and a great setting for this particular party of 32 people. The lighting was nice, decor inviting, and the tables had an ample amount of space between them. Second - I ordered the caesar salad which was fresh, and the cabernet sauvignon wine was surprisingly flavorful. I also nibbled off my Dad's salad mix with fresh sesame tuna slices which was super yummy! All the party guests seemed to very much enjoy their food. Burgers, pizza, fish, salads, etc. were all ordered. Third - my center issue was that for a party this size only 1 waiter was provided. This was felt with the timing of how long it took for order placement and for all items to be served - two waiters would have been useful. Overall, I'm giving this place a 3-star review because while all the food and drinks were good, nothing was exceptional. All the staff members were very nice and polite but more help was needed. My daughter and I were attending an open house at Dakota County technical College and they recommended this place for lunch, it's very close. I like trying unique things and so I had their Asian Yellowfin Tuna salad with mangoes and radishes and avocado. It was quite good, I ate every last morsel! The mangoes were frozen and the dressing was a bit too sweet, but it was tasty and unique. My daughter ordered us some waffle fries to share and they came straight from the fryer, delicious, served with a side of ketchup and another side of Southwest spicy dip, maybe with sour cream? Looking for a new place to eat in our neighborhood so I decided to try Fireside with my wife and child. We went on a Friday night around 7 and we had to wait for about 20 minutes, wasn't expecting that but we were first told 40 minutes, so props to getting us in quicker. I was expecting to have just a menu full of bar foods and such so I was surprised to see a little more variety than just burgers and sandwiches. I had the Fish and Chips because I have been craving fried fish for a while and my wife tried the roast beef sandwich. My fish and chips were very good. The fish was fried just right, the fries were the crunchy coated kind (which I highly prefer), and it came out as a pretty decent-sized portion. I have been to places that exclaim how great their fish and chips are and Fireside holds a candle to some of those places (maybe even better than some, here's looking at you Ettlins Ranchero Supper Club, with your garbage-brick fish fillets). My wife's sandwich was very good too. Tender slices of meat on a chewy bun with a very good dipping au jus . Our waitress was very nice and made sure to hit up our table every so often to make sure we were doing OK. All in all, we were happily surprised and will come back. read more

1st time visit and review: DON'T DO IT! SAVE YOURSELF! The place is so loud that you can't have a conversation without needing to yell. The music is super loud, and it gets even louder as 20+ staff clap and dance. The dancing is more important than paying attention to your glass being empty or if your order is wrong. Even when I waived an arm at the 5-8 staff loitering at the order station, they didn't look over at tables at all. The steaks were dry and over done, the sides gave our teeth a vacation with their baby food consistency. Hockey bar atmosphere is topped off by having The Pond hockey training center attached so you can enjoy a brew while watching the kiddos slap some puck. I've been to the Fireside three times. I've always been happy with my meal. My favorite dish is the Asian chicken wrap. Thoroughly enjoyable on a summer day! I've also had the fish plate and I must say that the portions are good. I had wanted to go there during a holiday meal but my other guests in our party insisted on a steak place. Reflecting back on their choice, I wish I had insisted on the Fireside. This will be my instant go to place in the future. I've also had their pizza. In sum, food and ambiance were great, service needs improvement. This was our first time at this restaurant; we went for my fiancé's birthday. Monday evening, 2 adults and our 2 1/2 year-old girl. I chose this place for its menu choices, being semi close to our house, having a casual ambience and reading that it was a spacious place and kid friendly. We ordered the meatloaf (chunky and full of flavor; mashed potatoes were well seasoned too, not bland as you normally find at restaurants - and it came with a generous salad as a side), the Reuben (generous amount of beef and the sweet potato were perfectly crinkly) and the mac & cheese kids meal. Mac & Cheese was generous with a home made taste and thinner sauce - all of us really enjoyed. The place is nice, yet casual; spacious but cozy. Next to an ice rink on the bar side, not too loud on a Monday night. Our server was very polite, but wasn't very attentive. We didn't get served a few items that we asked for but those still showed up in our bill. She did remove them promptly once we pointed them out. I was a bit confused about the side dishes in the kids menu - not sure if they are included or not or which beverages are included. Will go back & recommend it. read more
