I recently booked Firehouse Movers to move a Sole F80 Treadmill and Sole LCR Exercise Bike from the first floor of our home to the second floor. Those are two very heavy pieces of gym equipment even after I had disassembled them down to the basics (just the bed of the treadmill and the bare body of the bike. Phillip and Jason with Firehouse arrived even a little earlier than promised after giving me a heads-up call first. They inspected the items to be moved and what was to be their new location in our home, and then accomplished the move in 8 minutes. That must be a record. Did not so much as touch a wall or the banister of the staircase (which was only 36 inches wide at places with a 90-degree bend halfway up!). Keep in mind that the treadmill bed alone weighs approx. 250 pounds, and the bike is at least 150. From booking the move to writing the check and handing it to Phillip, all my interactions and communications with the Firehouse reps were polite and cordial. They are a very pleasant bunch to deal with. The experience was exactly what I hoped that it would be: Easy, Efficient, Well Organized, On Time, Quick, As Promised and At the Agreed Price. Not so much as one hiccup. Speaking from my own experience in booking Firehouse for my move: Before you call their number for a quote, be able to describe with some specificity exactly what you want to move, and from where to where, and when, and know your email address and cell phone number; and it will help even more if you can email or text them some photos. Be able to describe any challenges they may face (such as stairs, or steps, small hallways or doorways, long trips from their truck to your doorstep, etc. The Firehouse rep will take your information and send you a quote for the move in the form of an email with a link in it to the "portal" that the rep will have set up for you on their web server. Copy that link since it will work in any browser you use later. Follow the link and not only see the quote but download and view their other documents such as contracts, limits of liability, etc. Your "portal" is very useful for obtaining all the information you will need to have a successful move. If it does not give you enough information, call them. You will have your rep's email address for further communication as needed. And you can have the rep set up your portal and provide the quote, but not book the move. Just know that as time passes or you come up with more needs for your move, the rep may need to adjust the quote. When you're ready to go ahead and book the move, just call and provide your credit card information. Within limits you can cancel, but if you cancel on short notice, the fee is $150 billed to your card. I appreciated the most their efficiency, organization, and ease of communication, along with the fact that the move was safe, successful and without damage or injury. Finally, and this is the kicker: When it took only 8 minutes to accomplish our move, Phillip reminded me that the minimum amount of time allowed for any move is 1.5 hours, and he asked me if there was anything in our home that he and Justin could help us move (it was obvious we are doing a lot of rearranging), I was so stunned it took me a minute to respond. I think that is more of a recommendation of Firehouse than anything else I could say. Who does that. Thank you Firehouse. We will definitely use you again. read more

We hired Firehouse to help us move several weeks ago. Booking was a breeze. Getting a quote was easy. Having them actually moving our items was a whole different story. The movers arrived and barely spoke two words to us other than asking what they were moving. I asked them about boxes for our TVs because we had inquired about them prior to the move. Their response was "we don't use the boxes, they just get in our way." They were quick with getting all of our heavy furniture from upstairs to the truck. Seemed like they wrapped everything up nicely. When it came time to move our refrigerator, they did NOT wrap it up as I had expected... instead they tried to shove it out our front door before realizing it was not going to fit and they need to take the doors off. AFTER removing the doors, they wrapped up the refrigerator. Fast forward to finally making it to our dream home and unpacking the truck. We noticed quickly there were scratches all over the front of our refrigerator. One of our TV screens is completely ruined due to them mishandling it. And our dresser has a huge scratch/dent along the top of it. We did not pay for extra coverage because we completely entrusted Firehouse Movers to move our items with as much care as they'd move their own items. We figured they have so many wonderful reviews, they must be good. When we contacted them about the damaged items, they said because we didn't pay for extra coverage they would only give us 60 cents per pound of each item damaged.... That comes out to $305. Not even close to enough to cover the damage their movers caused. They said they were going to do their best to make things right. A day or two later the claims department came back to us saying she could give us no more than $425. Absolutely ridiculous. If your movers damage customers items, you should be responsible for any damages. You are a MOVING COMPANY. It is your job to move a customer's furniture without damage and if you do damage it, to pay for the cost to replace the item. Update - After submitting our review, Firehouse Movers contacted us immediately. They are replacing our refrigerator doors and giving us half market value for the TV. I told them I wasn't concerned about our dresser since it's not very noticeable if you aren't standing right in front of it. They are only obligated to give us 60 cents per pounds as per Texas law, so we are very appreciative of them for doing their best to make things right. read more

This is a 'very late' review, for I've been beyond busy. But, now I have the time to write this review. Bar none, Firehouse Movers is the best moving/ers experience I've had. I've had to use movers twice within months. I used AB Movers in July 2015. My move with AB Moviers was the worst. A number of my property was damaged, in which I only got a $70.00 settlement check from its carrier, CSI ! Having had that experience, I was resistant and reluctant to accept 'good reviews' on movers. AB Movers had good reviews, from Angie's List, mind you. So much for that. I saw a Firehouse Movers truck while out driving and decided to check them out. The reviews looked good [again], gave them a call. Jessica, personable and professional, warmed me to the point that I contracted with Firehouse to move me on March 1, 2016. On my move day -- --Firehouse Movers, Devon and the crew, was ahead of schedule; they called b/f arriving; --They greeted with professionalism and warmth; --They did an immediate inventory of what's to be moved from each area; --They clarified my order -- I had 2 different stops; --They were in and out in approximately :45 minutes -- very proficient; [not with AB Movers; with only an apt.-to-apt. move, AB took over 1hr to do a small, sparse, 1 br apt.!!] --Firehouse arrived at my storage [2nd locale] b/f I did [with AB Movers, had to 'wait on them' at new apt., for they took longest route]; --Firehouse stacked my 5x10 storage perfectly in under :30 minutes; [y-e-s-s-s!] --They moved my items into my apt. [3rd locale] 'in the same condition' as when they picked them up [not AB Movers; a number of my property was/remains damaged] --Firehouse put in, and hooked up, my washer/dryer, all within the hour; [AB Movers damaged my recliner when replacing the back to the seat] --NONE of my property was damaged by Firehouse. My time and money was NOT pimped; --Devon and the 2 guys [names ??] were professional, skilled, cohesive and proficient. I am stunned at the difference in Firehouse Movers' service versus AB Movers. Firehouse changed my mind about movers. Without question, I will use them again in the future, as well as refer them to anyone I know in need of a mover. Our move with Firehouse Movers was incredible! The quote was very reasonable. The communication was wonderful and consistent throughout the process. This alone would have given the company a 5 star rating. The day of the move the team showed up EARLY and they WORKED. We moved from a storage unit into our home; so the guys actually moved all our stuff twice in 1 day. Jesus was our team leader and he is awesome. He kept the team organized and it was evident he is a good leader. The entire team was very polite, courteous and such a pleasure to be around. Before the storage unit door was closed the team looked around every corner and in the rafters to make sure nothing was left behind. Before the team left our home they checked the trailer and then asked us to check the trailer to make sure nothing had been left behind by mistake. This is above and beyond the norm. We very much appreciated the extra effort. We moved from another state in October of 2022. Neither the loading in the other state or the unloading into storage was as well organized and handled as well as the double duty move today. Job well done! Outstanding customer service from the quote to the unloading today. The office team was a genuine pleasure to speak with during the entire process. We would recommend Firehouse Movers to anyone needing moving services. Our estimation was for approx 7-10 hours; we actually expected closer to the 10 hours. These guys were able to complete both moves in less than 4 hours. We hesitate to share that because we don't want others to assume that the estimate they receive would be 50% less. I think credit for the length of time goes to the team working as a team, the leadership Firehouse instills in their employees and our good fortune to find a professional moving company. We had a fantastic experience with everybody at Firehouse Movers, moving out of one 3-story townhouse to another 3-story townhouse. I called several moving companies, and I was impressed by how friendly Amari was on the phone, and with her follow-up via phone and email a few days later to make sure that all of my questions were answered. Honestly, I'd planned to go with another company with fantastic reviews on Yelp, but after they were less pleasant on the phone with no follow-up and then increased their fees when I called to book, I decided to go with Firehouse Movers instead (in light of Amari's amazing communication). Mark, Nick, and Jose showed up to pack our kitchen on Tuesday morning, exactly on time after they'd called to confirm 30 minutes before. They worked with such incredible speed that I was a little worried about the quality of the packing. I definitely did not need to worry - they'd packed the entire kitchen like it was their own. Everything was perfectly cushioned and organized. The same 3 gentlemen showed up the next day to move us (again, right on time). At one point, they asked how I wanted the furniture arranged, and when I told them that anything was fine, one of them said "Please, be as picky as you want. We're here to help." Incredible! In addition to be so nice and pleasant to be around, they worked FAST and so, so carefully. I can't believe that moving 3500 square feet with frankly huge furniture, they managed to avoid even one nick or scrape on any walls or furniture. Moving is one of the most stressful experiences I've had to deal with throughout my lifetime. That was until I discovered Firehouse Movers. Yesterday I used them for the third time over the course of the past few years and they were by far the absolute best moving experience of my life. The team, which I tagged as #TeamRockStar, consisted of Chris, Julio and Travis. They arrived exactly when they said they were. In fact, they made a courtesy call about 20 minutes in advance to let us know they were on their way. They arrived with big smiles on their faces and were neat, clean and very friendly. As soon as they arrived they quickly got busy and moved with lightening speed. There was no lolly gagging or messing around. They asked about our preferences on what we wanted loaded first or last onto their trucks. Then the team worked very efficiently and super hard. There wasn't as much as a bump or scratch on anything. They even moved my 40 year old ficus tree without losing a single leaf. Can you say wow? I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They made the move from Carrollton/Plano to McKinney/Frisco completely enjoyable! Did I say a move was actually enjoyable? Yes I did and yes it was. My move with Firehouse movers was nothing less than excellent. I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor to another 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor (same apartment complex/different building). On the day of the move I received a call about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time, letting me know the movers were on the way. They arrived right at 7am and began immediately. The head mover (I think), Jesus/Jesse, started by going over the logistical info/ contract with me and got my signature. It took about an hour to get all my belongings onto the truck. (They even had to take my couch out of the apartment via the patio/balcony because it wouldn't fit through the door, and they did this FLAWLESSLY!) The drive from the old apartment to the new apartment is less than 5 minutes. That was the only break these guys took. Once we got to the new apartment, they jumped right to moving my belongings into my new place. In total it took about 2 1/2 hours to move. These guys were professional the entire time. They worked quickly, but not so quick that they were sloppy. At the end of the move they asked me to look around and make sure everything was to my liking. They let me look in the back of the truck to make sure nothing was forgotten. Seeing as I've had bad experiences with movers in the past, I'm super grateful for this positive experience! I was nervous about using a moving company. I choose Fire House Movers because I kept hearing their advertisement on my radio station. Brittany truly listened to my needs when i called. Brittany made her recommendations. I was hesitant but accepted. I loved the inspection sheet the emailed to me. They followed up and did everything to assure me that they would do their very best. Move day, the guys were there by 7:10. I bought donuts for them but they thanked me and just started working after explaining what i could expect from them. They inspected my apartment and started working. I LOVE the containers that they use for the holds Single items. Great idea. That was my job. They were polite, fast and extremely careful with my furniture. When we got to my new apartment which was on the 3rd floor. They jumped right into work mood. Firehouse Moving with Julio, Brandon, & Javier!!! So, I have to be honest that I really didn't believe our move would go smoothly because they never have in the past!! From the friendly folks that answer the phone and take your information to Julio's crew that showed up ON TIME with smiling faces on the day of our move, I thought it was too good to be true! Let me tell you, IT IS NOT! My experience is only with Julio's crew, so this is who I'm recommending! I will call and ask for them specifically if I ever need anything else moved! Again, they were on time, they were SUPER courteous, they walked me through the whole process and I knew exactly what to expect. When I tried to do something to help or open a door, Julio wouldn't have it!! He said: this is why you have us here for!! While I didn't end up using Firehouse, I really appreciate Regina's customer service. I had a move scheduled in their floater window, 3-6p in the afternoon on a Thursday, and I emailed a cancellation notice at 10:06a on Tues monring. On their website, www.firehousemovers.com, it states toward the bottom of the page, "any move canceled without a verbal 48 business hour notice will be charged $150.00." Well, I was outside that window, but received a reply email saying that I'd be charged $150.00 because I was inside the "2 day business window". So, I called Regina back, and more or less yelled at her. I wasn't nice. She politely handled me and said they wouldn't charge my card. I then sent a reply email thanking them for not charging me, and suggesting they solidify their cancellation policy. But, I still felt bad that I yelled at her, so I called back again, and she was very gracious, even offering to me if there was anything they could do to help even though we weren't using them, to just give her a call back. I appreciate how she handled that, because I was entirely in the wrong, and even though I called to apologize, she had every right to treat me the way I was treating her. We had heard good reviews at work and read good reviews online about Firehouse Movers, so we decided to give them a try. We're so glad we did! Juan and his crew took great care of us just last week. They showed up on time and got right to work wrapping our furniture with moving blankets and plastic wrap. Heavy thunderstorms hit the DFW area all day on the day of our move. Because of Juan's team's thorough work, not one piece of furniture was damaged by the rain. The great care they took to protect our irreplaceable antiques was amazing. It felt like family was helping us move! Every member of the team was courteous, kind & patient with us as we directed where each box and piece of furniture was to be placed in our new home. There was not damage to any of our belongings and they took extra care not to damage any surfaces in our newly built home. I was looking for a company for my move and after my research, a friend highly recommended Firehouse Movers. She had used them for residential and business moves and each time was a stellar experience. I hate moving. I've moved perhaps 27 times due to being in the Navy and other life changes. This year I purchased a home, and though exciting, I dreaded the move. With all that being said, every interaction with someone at Firehouse Movers was great. So was the price! Now, let me boast about the 3 men who came today to make this move happen. Pavel, Jay and Richard were amazing! They were extremely courteous to not just my mother and I but also to each other. They were a fun team of guys and by the end of the move, we were all laughing and cracking jokes. They hustled the whole time with Pavel keeping the momentum going though it is HOT today. They arrived at 0700 and it was already 94° and by the time they finished, it was 102°. I had a mini fridge in my garage that I had Gatorade for them during the loading, and then I made a water run to keep them well hydrated! And through that heat, they still had upbeat attitudes. We stumbled upon Firehouse Movers totally by chance and ended up having one of the best customer experiences of any business we've patronized in recent memory. In an era where extraordinary customer service is all but dead, these guys made us believe again! Jairo, Chase and Adam moved my husband and me from Dallas into our new home. They were on time, extremely friendly, professional and polite (yes ma'am and no ma'm levels of polite!) They took great care and time in securing and moving our belongings. They asked questions about what we wanted and communicated well with us in return. Several times throughout the day my husband and I looked at each other like, are these guys for real? We just weren't prepared for how efficient they were at loading our furniture onto their trailer. They even moved things we thought we'd have to come back and finish up ourselves. I would recommend this moving company all day long. Moving is always stressful, but they really made a huge difference in how much of the physical burden we had to shoulder. Three guys showed up on time after contacting us with an arrival time. The young man in charge, walked though the home an evaluated the items that were going to be shipped along with the furniture. Our move was from a 3 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom apartment and we were leaving many itmes for the new owners, a young couple just starting out. Once the evaluation was done, they proceeded to do their work in a very professional manner, asking questions about items not being shipped. Several pieces required special care and they wrapped in padding and secured in a safe manner. They were though loading in less than 3 hours. Following us to the Apartment complex and was very careful in bring all furniture and boxes into apartment to prevent damage to walls. Set up our bed and placed boxes where we had indicated on box, All gentleman were extremely friends and helpful in anything we asked of them. I highly recommend this company for anyone that is looking for a safe, reliable move. The total cost was less than originally quoted and with the military discount, very welcome. Great job guys. This is the first time that I have used a professional mover. This was something I was doing on my own for the first time also. From the first call to schedule the move, until they offloaded and set up all my "stuff" (which was a completely full trailer), they were AMAZING! At one point during the conversation with the lady who scheduled my move, I made a comment about being nervous doing this on my own. Without missing a beat, she said "no you're not, you have us!" The movers who moved me were Mark V., Patel, and Diego out of the Lewisville, Tx office. These guys were amazing! They were so patient with my questions and so very polite...ALWAYS responding with a yes ma'am or no ma'am. Many times in male dominated businesses, men have tried to take advantage or speak condescendingly to me ...not any of these guys! And for that, I give them mad respect, because they respected me. I will definitely do business with FIREHOUSE MOVERS again. Honestly, I have not even one complaint! I absolutely could not recommend Firehouse more highly! The movers (Ricky, Micah, and Mark) made a difficult and emotional move much easier for me. These guys are not only efficient, but incredibly personable and kind. They also conquered the stairs and non-ideal parking situations like champs. I am eternally grateful for these guys and have the utmost respect and gratitude for them! In addition to the movers, the office staff members are also amazing! Every conversation was easy, stress-free, and respectful. Firehouse is a shining example of a company that does outstanding work and provides excellent customer service. In all serious, the circumstances that surrounded my move contributed to an emotional day for me and having no family in the area made me extra nervous at the start. The situation was really appeased by the Firehouse staff. They are actual angels who should feel proud to know how much they really help their customers, mentally and emotionally speaking (but also physically because, you know, stairs). Just Wow!!!! I called to set up an appointment to have Firehouse Movers, move my parents (Felix and Cheryl) from an apartment to an house. First of all, I spoke with three separate receptionist because of course I had to call around before I decided who to go with and all three of these ladies were absolutely wonderful. The day of the move I received a heads up call when the crew was heading to my parents apartment. I highly recommend PHILIP, JORDAN and PARKER because they are the complete package. They were fast, polite, respectful, patient, knowledgeable and pretty much just perfect lol. My parents just had a brand new bed set up by Rooms to Go about 2 months ago and it was already squeaky but after Philip's crew set up the bed at the new place, it was no longer squeaky. Like seriously, who moves your stuff and makes it better too? These guys!! I could probably write a book on all of the positive things my parents said about these guys and my mom told me to find their parents on google so I can give them a 5 star rating of how good they raised their boys lol. read more
