Absolutely! The worst sub shop Iveever been to. In fact, 1st and the last time for this place. Went because I got coupons in the mail. I think it was buy a medium or large sub with chips and drink, get a medium sub free. Got a whole cold cut, chips, and drink. Then I tried the new cuban sub as my free one. 1st, don't like that you can't see them making your food. It's behind a high countertop. 2nd, one of the reviews talked about the greasy bag they received. You guessed it mine was the same. The cold cut sub was down right skimpy for the price. The cuban sub was supposed to be onca toasted roll. It was a togo order, so I didn't notice until I got home. Firehouse use to be my favorite sub shop. No more. The last two visit's were disappointing to say the least. Everything is greasy including the bag, containers &receipt. This time I ordered an Italian cold cut, but got only ham which was like chewing plastic. Their ham use to be so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. I ended up taking it off and just eating a lettuce, tomato, and onion sub. Then they ripped me for $4.18 on the 2 brownies I ordered and didn't bother to put in the bag. Never again. read more

The subs here are tasty and has many options. I have also found the service to be fast and friendly. The downside is that the portions are inconsistent many times. Just the other day I ordered two of the exact same sandwich and one had a good amount of meat and the other only a few slices. Low grade dog food. Just a mass produced mess of sodium and bland food. Ordered a sandwich, asked for no onions. Repeated at the end of the order, "no onions, right?" Order was made, guy that made the sandwich hands it to me, I ask, "no onions, right?" He says, "right, no onions." Get home, onions on it. So I am working a contract site over here in Bel Air MD Volunteer Fire Department as armed security. And I was looking on Grubhub for food when one of the members told me I should try the Fire House Subs. All I can tell you, for my first time trying them, WOW. Great subs! I hadn't tried Firehouse Subs because there are several sub places around (subway, Wawa, + local sub shops). Then I had an offer and decided to give it a try. The subs were delicious, the meat is much better quality than average lunch meat. Service seemed slow, but many orders come in electronically (I will order this way next time) and they are short staffed because everywhere is short staffed so expect to wait a little longer if you order in person but it is worth the wait. Love the subs, have never had an issue having to wait to get my sub, but today, at lunch, an older gentleman apparently didn't want mayonnaise and had it on his sandwich when he checked it. The young woman, wearing glasses, was obviously annoyed. She proceeded to say that she was done with this f-Ing place and was ready to walk out the f-ing store and f-ing quit, which was all heard on the front since that's where she was. This was my first time at this firehouse subs. I had firehouse subs all the time when I lived in Las Vegas so I was excited to have it here in Bel Air,MD. I thought the staff was very friendly however my veggie sub didn't taste good, I tasted like nothing was on the bread, a lot of lettuce and it wasn't warm, it just wasn't like the one in Vegas when it was smothered with veggies, cheese, mayo etc. also the side pickle tasted old and dry. I personally wouldn't go back and I am sure the other subs are great but i only had two options as a vegetarian which is a salad or a veggie sub so I personally will not go back because of that but again the staff was very helpful and friendly, that is why I gave an extra star. Honestly the best sub I have ever had in my life. Period. This joint opened up not too long ago and I came here after one of my biddies recommend it. Clearly the best sandwiches in Bel Air and very well managed. The staff are awesome, food is prepared fresh and the place is very clean. Freshest ingredients used and the decor is really good. I would give zero stars if I could but can't on this platform. I came to Maryland to check on my friend's home today and I am so tight on time, I decided to place an order for lunch. I ordered a veggie sub on 11/23/19 at 11:18am through Grubhub. I received confirmation that the order was being made. I was given a delivery time of 1:50 to 2:00. I waited until 2:20 (figuring, "eh, it's Saturday, they are probably busy". Then it was 2:30. I contacted Grubhub and they contacted Firehouse in Bel Air, MD and informed me that they became very busy and they ARE NOT making the order and here is my refund. WOW! No phone call, no nothing. I am just sitting here hungry and unable to leave this house to return to Pennsylvania because I did not want to miss the delivery. I just don't have words to describe how upset I am. I previously left a five star rating a few years ago because Firehouse was my favorite sub shop. I used to tip the sandwich makers $20 whenever I would go in. Firehouse, you have lost a customer for life. It is the weekend and I am busy as well. Nobody even took a moment to pick up the phone to tell me that they couldn't make the order. The sub I ordered today the worst sub I ever had. My mistake was ordering it to go. It wasn't worth the time to return to the store and demand a refund. There was very little meat and it was about 1 1/2" short from the end of the roll on each end. They also didn't add the condiments I ordered. The meat was bland.
