It's been kind of hit and miss here lately. Came in for sandwiches last night. There was only 1 other group of 4 there - probably because it was around 5:15pm. I ordered the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. It's usually my favorite. However, there was not much meat on the sandwich and they initially forgot the barbecue sauce. They fixed the sauce issue but the sandwich was mediocre. Both kids had turkey bacon ranch sandwiches and had the same issue of not having much meat on the sandwich. These are our favorite sandwiches here and we will try them again. Hopefully they go back to the way they used to make them! read more

Pretty good subs and it's cool having a drive thru which I've never seen before at a sandwich shop. I got the brisket sandwich which stayed hot and wasn't sloppy. Great flavor and the 8" was plenty for me. Really cool how fast they make their sandwiches and very reasonably priced. read more

Came through tonight and had the absolute worst service from the MOD Sherral. After ordering in the Drive thru and waiting well over 10 minutes my order was wrong. After knocking on the window for 2 minutes we drove back around and informed them of the issue and they said to come up. The girl at the window was unable to help us and got a manger. Sherral informed me it would be an additional 5 minutes to get me an item that I ordered but wasn't given and gave no apology and seemed extremely annoyed and pissy that I dare bother her with this. After she gave me a partial refund I had to ask for my receipt back since she was walking away with it. What a horrible way to run a store. read more

I love fire house subs, my boyfriend wanted Firehouse subs last night so I went through the drive thru. I repeated my order which is totally okay because of all the background noise from highway 50. I ordered a medium on white club on a sub with no mustard or onions. My boyfriend ordered a large on white smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket, I asked with everything on it because who knows maybe someone doesn't want mayo and I got a full description as to what comes on it, once again I said everything so let's roll with it. So I got home and ate one half of my sub and it was so good. I then ate the second half of my sub and there was mustard. These subs are the most delicious sandwiches around. The meat is so tender and the bread soft. I live in Sparks and just noticed you have a new firehouse subs coming here. OMG! Finally! It will do really well here. For those who couldn't get to Carson City to get one can now how one right here in our own town. No info on when they're opening. Can hardly wait but it's well worth it. Really bummed out about this place... was looking for a place to eat around 845pm... looked up Firehouse to make sure they were open after 9. Sure enough on their website it said until 10. Headed down to that side of town, only to be told "welcome to firehouse subs, we're closed" it was 9 on the dot. I explained about the website, and was told "we just changed our hours TODAY" I totally realize that closing time is closing time, but when there's a guy getting food in the drivethru, and your website says 10, and youre a BRAND NEW restaurant and youre changing your hours, it was just a little disappointing. Now, I had to ask my wife if this guys had an attitude, or if it was just me being hungry. She agreed that he was rude. Another bummer. All said and done, I drove back across town and got In-N-Out for less than half the price. I won't be going back to firehouse any time soon. read more

This is a pretty new sub place in Carson. We were greeted at the door with a hearty, in unison, welcome by the employees. They have some yummy looking subs. The Hubby got the "Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket" he thought it was good. They have a selection of under under 500 calorie sandwiches that look tasty. I had the Turkey and cranberry and it was good. We chose to upgrade to a "combo" which Includes a soft drink and bag of chips for an extra $2.59. They have an impressive selection of soft drinks which includes a lot of lo-cal options. The decor is supposed to be like an old New York fire house. They have 2 large TVs you can watch while dining. Overall this is a pretty decent sub shop. The staff was friendly and it felt clean. I did have to knock off one star because it cost 20 dollars and some change, which seemed pretty high for what we got. read more

Ok first and foremost I have to say that I had to try this place a couple times before writing the review. I went here the first day it was supposed to open, they were still closed to my surprise. When I came up to the door it looked to be the general manager came to open up the door and said come on in and have a sub on us. I thought that was super cool of him especially because they are trying to start off on a good foot. I ordered the brisket that is cooked for like 16 hours, it was pretty good. Second visit I tried the club on a sub, again just pretty good. Third visit I tried the Hero and loved it. Here's the thing, it is highly overpriced and not that great for the $10 price point. If it were in the $7 range it would be much more affordable to the average Joe consumer. Literally ordered 2 large subs, 2 drinks, and some cookies and it totalled $32. Provided the prices comes down I will revisit this establishment, until then I think there are better places for a cheaper price. read more

These are the best subs of any of the sub places. When you order any fully involved sub (my favorite is the hero sub), the taste is superb. The staff is friendly and efficient, and I love that I am supporting local first responders. This is my sub place forever. read more

We have had Firehouse Subs brought to our work here out in Reno and the sandwiches are always nice and fresh. They came in a box that was easy to know what was what. We also had cookies! Nice and soft but still had a nice crunch (if that makes any sense). Long story short, delicious subs! read more

Went there for the first time last night after a recommendation from a co worker! We were very disappointed!!!!! We ordered a "Steamer" and a pastrami sandwich. We got our sandwiches and it probably had one slice of pastrami on it. The "Steamer" was the same. , I had to ask my husband if it even had a piece of beef on it! We will never go back! We even laughed and said it looks NOTHING like the pictures. If you are going to charge $17.00 for two sandwiches, you better put some meat on them! Don't waste your money!!! read more

Every time I come down to Carson City I stop in at firehouse. The main reason being we don't have one in Reno, which is a shame. I am never disappointed when I come in. I have tried most of the menu, my favorite sandwiches being the steamer and the beef and cheddar brisket. Also, I love their cherry limeade. Their pepper sauce is always a good addition to any sandwich. The staff is always pleasant and happy to give advice. I am anxiously waiting the day when the open one closer to me. read more

Saturday afternoon may 2 arrived in parking lot at 1:30 waited 35 minutes place order. And another 15 minutes to get sandwich. Asked if there was a problem in kitchen. Was told no. I will never go back as there was obviously a problem and they apparently don't care. When you trust someone to prepare your food. I recently found out that they had a Firehouse Subs in Carson City. I used to visit the place when I lived in Albuquerque. Today I got the Steak and Cheese. WOW, how I missed that! The bread (white) was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Chopped steak, provolone cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms. A medium sandwich (8"?) and a small drink for $10.31, I don't know what others are complaining about price. This is quality food. Maybe they should stick with Subway. I certainly hope they consider a place in South Reno. I would be a regular. For now, a 20 minute drive to Carson City will have to do. I make regular trips to the Bay Area. While I see they have several locations there, none in the area I visit (Concord/Pittsburg area). I do see that there is one in Vacaville right off I-80 so I will be planning a lunch stop on my way back to Reno. read more

I stopped in yesterday for lunch to try it out after hearing good things. Restaurant was clean, service was friendly. I ordered the medium Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. Upon receiving my to go bag, I couldn't help but notice how light the bag felt. As I opened the bag, I found my sandwich to be underwhelming visually. My sandwich had hardly any meat on it at all. Also, the meat is sliced too thin making for a weird texture. The flavor was great; good smoke flavor and who doesn't enjoy bbq sauce. I received a pickle with my order, but it looked disgusting. It had some refrigeration bruising, and looked like an old pickle that finally made its way out of the reach-in cooler. I cannot imagine why I would be served that pickle? Overall the food/service was decent, but I feel like you get better value at places like Capriotti's or Jimmy Johns. Went through the drive through. No one in front of me. Parking lot had about 6 cars. I ordered one small sandwich and drove to the window and waited for over ten minutes. Subs were delicious! However, they are not as big as some subs (thinking of Jimmy John's, Port of Subs) and are pricey. Hard to take a family there, especially a family that is hungry. The regular size/medium size sandwich was not as filling for myself or my 12 year-old son. Child's sub (more reasonably-priced) is a good size for an 8 year old or younger. Again, though, must emphasize that they were tasty. Also, they have the new Coke machines where you can customize your flavor. I got hooked on firehouse subs when I lived in Vacaville California, I was excited about having one basically right down the street for me when I moved. Still love their club on a sub sandwich, the only thing I have to say about this location is thatthey seem to mess up the order when you try to adjust it. For example I always ask for a light on their Dijohn mustard stuff, but somehow they seem to mess that up. But still friendly people and still enjoy the sandwich. read more

I ordered delivery yesterday through door dash yesterday and while the door dasher was friendly and courteous the main part of the experience (the food) was very very poor! I would have given a half star if I could if it wasnt for the driver being nice...I ordered a thing of Mac and cheese and a salad so that we could pair it with our burgers that we bought for dinner so that I didnt have to go out to the store again as I already did for the day and forgot some things. I spent $20 on a tasteless cold mac and chesse of which they didnt put the toppings on and get this a salad that didnt have ANYTHING BUT LETTUCE!! Nothing AT ALL was on it except the lettuce! And on top of that, the lettuce was wilted and had a little smell like it was going bad already!!!So guess what!? We had to throw away the salad and I had to doctor up the mac and cheese by adding my own bread crumbs, salt and pepper (as none was added!) what kind of crap is that!? People are spending theyre hard earned money on these restaurants and getting delivery because we are told to stay home as much as possible to avoid possibly getting this very dangerous virus and expect quality food! I mean i ordered from McDonald's last week and they were 2,000 time better quality than you guys! This used to be my husband's favorite place to get his subs, I dont think we will be spending anymore of our money on this place again. Get with the program and quality control! They have 9 employees clocked on at one time and it still took about 12 minutes to get our food out. The cashier was very nice, and welcoming. Price is too much, not worth $20 for two sandwiches.
