I came here on a weekday and ordered a New York steamer sub. As far as the service and food everything was great. I especially enjoyed the taste of the sandwich, even though it wasn't as big as other subs in the area the taste was hard to beat and the amount was just enough and not to filling. As for the restaurant, everything was tidy and they actually had firefighter jackets on the wall which was cool. That being said I look to coming back when I'm in the area. read more

Good sandwiches and good deeds! First of all, I love the premise of being able to give back to first responders even just by grabbing lunch. And the sandwiches were actually very good, which makes giving back to the community much easier. The wheat bread was also pretty fluffy and nice. Love the choice of small, medium, large as someone who always finds 6 inch too small but 12 inch too big. For a small lunch the small sub for little more than $5 is a much better deal than any hamburger place. Most of the subs are served hot but you can ask for them cold, if you like. Overall, the subs are pretty tasty and hit the spot. But what makes firehouse subs fun is the numerous hot sauces that they have set for customer use. They are ranked from 1-10 based on their spiciness. As a Korean, I can hit the level 7-8 without any trouble. It's located in a strip mall with ample parking. Service is quick and friendly. Everything tasted fresh and the meat and veggies are fully-loaded. I liked that nothing was overly salted either. I wish I lived closer to Virginia just so I can come here to get a quality sub. This reminds me of a Potbelly's with much more style and pride. They also have a huge section of different level (1-10) hot sauces. I tried the level 9's and 10's, and Wow - pretty damn good. It's called spontaneous combustion for a reason... I ordered a medium (7-8 inch) meatball sub and it was one of the best meatball subs I've had in my life. The cheese was properly melted over the 5 meatballs jammed into the crispy bun. You absolutely won't be disappointed. My parents split a large 12 inch, which they could barely finish. The fireman's theme is very kid friendly and the color coordination reminds me of a big red clifford the dog commercial. It's probably because I recently saw that children's book where clifford becomes a fireman. Also, I asked for extra pickles, and this guy gave me 6 individually wrapped for me to go. What a nice guy. Placed an order for pick up tonight and upon checking the order when I got home I found that my potato soup that was supposed to have bacon in it was not there at all instead in its place was mac and cheese. Somehow this was my first time trying Firehouse Subs-- I really liked it! My family went between a bunch of their kids' basketball games for the day because they knew it'd be quick and good. She took my coupon and charged me, she did not bother to explain to me that it was a misprint. It was another employee that told me it was a misprint.
