I can't find the page for the location in Tyson's corner. The menu is extensive! I got the Chicken Sando Jr. which was really big! I wander how much bigger the Chicken Sando is. Looked like they have a lot of delivery orders which is good! Funnel stick fries and fried okra sound intriguing, would try it next time! Clean bathroom!
Two words: fried chicken. If you're looking for it, this is your place. Also: can be spicy. If you're a spice fanatic (like me), I recommend choosing medium as a meal. It's the perfect balance between comfort and spiciness in my opinion. When I tried hot, it was uncomfortable and took a while to finish. I only recommend this if you're looking to challenge your spice tolerance. Angry hot humbled me - I took 1-2 bites at a time and it took a solid 7 minutes (timed) to recover every time. Overall, I would only come here if I wanted spicy chicken. Service can be slow. Ambience is casual - just normal seating.
I was craving a spicy chicken sandwich. My bff mentions Hangry Joes. Done and DONE! She mentions her bf could barely stomach the "hot" seasoning level. I am cautiously optimistic. The "angry hot" level requires a waiver to be signed . They do not return hot sandwiches that are "too" hot. They have plenty of disclaimers on the heat level. I opt for the junior sando "medium" heat. My nose is dripping! Sandwich is piping hot out of the kitchen. Im fighting hunger, my tastes buds, and heat EACH bite! Overall, this absolutely conquered my craving. Is it a spot where they tack on items for $$? yes. To add cheese to my junior was an extra dollar. To ask for different sauces on the side was extra. Was this the best spicy sandwich in the ever popular spicy chicken sandwich restaurant craze? No. Would I return?- yes. It does what it has to do and the portions are huge and you get your moneys worth.
Came in with my wife and toddler. Been to the one in Herndon a few times with no problems. Was generally always good. This location was terrible though. I'm guessing they all moved from the regular fat chicken to this long thin piece which sucks in comparison but what made it worse was it was over fried and weirdly hard. The fries weren't even fried (funny since the chicken was over fried) and were a soft soggy mess, gross and worse than McDonald's sad soggy sticks. The part that really ticked me off was me ordering the funnel cake fries with strawberry's (the picture shows strawberries) and I didn't get any strawberries just some syrup. It really disappointed my toddler which was upsetting. I hope the manager or someone can reach out and make this right somehow. Otherwise I will never go back to this location. There are numerous fried chicken locations in Centreville and this is a hard pass if you are in the area. Bonchon and like 3 others are in the same strip.
the chicken was very hard as if it was old chicken usually it's always great 1/2 of the sandwiches were good but the other chicken was way to hard and it was my moms very first time trying it and she was upset because the food is expensive and bad quality for her first time i usually always enjoy it but this time it was not good chicken
My fifth review of spicy chicken sandwich spots in the DMV and the best so far. The chicken breast is huge and the breading is perfect. The Hangry sauce is spot on. The cole slaw is sweet and vinegary. The bun is soft. Really, I don't think it gets better than this. I think the best thing I can do is break down the spiciness level according to the owner. Here it is: Mild - Paprika with chili flakes Medium - Jalapeño pepper Hot - Ghost pepper Angry Hot - California Reaper I have created this real world scale: No Heat - people look around and ask where your children are and they should. You disappoint me. Mild - You made your girlfriend come with you and she really doesn't like spicy food but she has to eat something. Medium - We get it. You like spicy food and this is the perfect spice level for guys that don't take the jalapeños off their bahn mi. Stop here. Don't be a hero. You will regret it. Hot - it was funny to order it when you enter the restaurant because none of your other friends would do it but now that you've taken your first bike, you realize you've made a grave mistake. You cannot tell if your mouth is burning from the temperature of the food or the spiciness. There's no going back now however, all your friends are looking at you. Finish it up cowboy and for dessert, do yourself a favor and go by CVS to buy yourself some Pepto-Bismol and some Preparation H/baby wipes. The rest of your night is ruined, and probably your morning as well. Angry Hot - You really have to sign a waiver before they will serve this to you. I think that speaks for itself. Don't be stupid.

I went one of the nights when they first opened and even though I placed my order ahead of time online, I still had to wait soooo long for my order. First impression of the food? There was a strong cumin smell to the food. More heat than flavor IMO and it's pretty pricey.

The inside is painted a bright red color (kind of hurt my eyes lol). They have a counter where you can order, or a kiosk to do it yourself. Plenty of seating and DIY fountain drink machine. Guys.. Do not make the same mistake we did. We did not see the spice disclaimer/warning, and ordered with our own assumptions on the spice levels. I honestly wish we saw the sign sooner/actually read the prompts. I loooove spicy food. I ordered a Hot thinking it would be very spicy, but tolerable. And my husband (who does not handle spice that well) got Medium. Hot was SO FREAKING HOT. It hurt. My husband couldn't handle his Medium, but when I ate it, it was PERFECT. He may need to get No Heat next time lol FOOD: Chicken Sandwich Combo 1 (4/5) - comes with Waffle Fries and a Soda Slaw: (4/5) Waffle Fries (3/5) - was a little soggy (maybe a bad day) Sauce for Fries (3/5) a hint too tangy Will go back and get the appropriate heat level!
A friend of mine pinged me recently to ask if I had checked out Hangry Joe's - knowing of my affinity for spicy food. I had not heard of Hangry Joe's - so - being intrigued, I went the very next day for lunch. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich combo at the "Hot" level. There is one heat level above "Hot," - called "Angry Hot," which requires the customer sign a waiver to order. The combo comes with a large side of Waffle fries. The gentleman at the register - asked me if I was sure about wanting to go with the "Hot" spice level. I responded that I am a heat fiend, so this will be no problem for me. First off, the sandwich size is huge! Seems like the chicken is about a pound of chicken. I ended up with some food leftover which I took to go for a snack later. The heat level? Very spicy! Enjoyed the heck out of it! They have a sign up in the restaurant advising that their "mild" spice level is hotter than Tabasco sauce. I don't find that to be hot - but some folks do. Tasty sammich! And very good heat! Enjoyed it! Next visit, I'll be ratcheting up the heat to the "Angry Hot" level! #HangryJoesHotChicken

There's a new Nashville hot chicken sandwich shop in town, and it's the fast growing chain Hangry Joe's! A while back I was on Instagram, and to my surprise, I saw an ad announcing that a Hangry Joe's was opening up in Centreville right in the same plaza as Pho Duong, Bon Chon, etc. I've been to the Fairfax location (located next to the Duck Donuts), and enjoyed it, but it was great to see something a lot closer to home. I visited yesterday on the opening day and expected that it was going to be absolutely packed. True to my expectations, this place was really busy. On the plus side, it was easy to order using a little kiosk near the front. Despite having a bunch of people in the place, it didn't take very long for my food (ordered to go) to be prepared. What is great about this place is that they know to vent the boxes so that the steam doesn't make your sandwich and waffle fries to get soggy! I ordered the hot, which is one level down from having to sign a waiver (!) and it was tasty, but not overly spicy. I like really spicy food though, so it's hard to judge for others. When doubt, go less spicy than you think you can handle and get spicy the next time (because there will be a next time!) Overall, this was a great first trip to the newest Hangry Joe's in the area. May 2022 - COVID Review: My husband and I were excited to see this place open near home so we opted to dine in. The restaurant is decently sized but they had the music on full blast so it's hard to have a conversation without screaming across the table. We got the combo and it was pretty good! The fries were my favorite because they were so crispy. The chicken breast they use was HUGE that both sides were coming out of the bun. I got the medium and it was too spicy for me (I can handle an adequate amount of spice). I tried my husband's mild and it barely had spice for me. So maybe if there was a level in between both would be good for me? read more

Solid chicken sandwich joint! 5/5. Decided to try this place out for lunch with my coworkers as we are all in the search for the best chicken sandwiches in the area. And, I can say this is one of my top picks. I got the classic chicken sando with medium heat. And it was delicious! The portion is huge so no worries about being left unfulfilled. The chicken itself was very tender and juicy. And, the medium heat had a very nice kick, if you're looking for something spicy. The chicken to slaw ratio was good as well, and the slaw didn't overpower the taste/flavor of the chicken. Overall, a pretty good chicken sandwich. The service was good as well. Went in and ordered in person. Was able to get our food out in a good amount of time. Staff were friendly as well. Solid 5/5. read more
Parking: it is located in a small strip mall. It can get very crowded and may be hard to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. There should be other parking spots down the same shopping center. Seating: there was a good number of seats, but I can see it getting very crowded on the weekends. Many people seemed to just pick up their food and leave. They have music playing and their tables & seats are clean. Food: heads up: the mild can be pretty spicy! I like the mild personally! Their chicken doesn't have a curry taste. Bathroom: single bathrooms, one for the ladies & one for the men. Price: it's slightly on the pricier side. But I think it's good to at least try and make your own decision. Service: our server was super helpful in giving suggestions for what to choose. read more
First time experience. In short: good chicken sandwich, expensive. It was $16.91 for a sandwich, drink, and fries. I got mild and still felt my lips tingle and swell (I can't handle anything spicy). The French fries stayed SUPER crisp the entire meal which I LOVED. The special sauce was good. I've been told that Fairfax HJ is extremely inconsistent with spice. I couldn't hang ya'lll....... Daniel, the manager was so nice to walk me thru the menu and tried to warn me that the medium level was a little spicy. Of course I didn't listen. :) The chicken was fried on the spot and came out piping hot. The coolness of the sauce and coleslaw helped to bring down the heat from the spice. I would order this again, but with mild spice. read more
Ordered online and grabbed and sando to go. Flavor is packed, love the brioche buns they used, the Cole slaw is a little different that what I usually get on other Nashville sandwiches. It's ok, not bad, it's just different. Sandwich came out to be around $11. I will have to order again when in the area. Glad there is something new in that plaza. read more
Hangry Joe's brings the heat!! Visited with a coworker for lunch shortly after opening. It wasn't busy in the slightest, almost dead really, so we opted to order from the kiosks. I got the Tender combo and chose Hot for my spice level. I have to assume it was due to the chicken being spiced and served fresh out the fryer but it was distinctly more intense this time around. I ran through the gamut of spicy food suffering: slow deep breaths, multiple drink refills, the endless cascade of napkins...the only thing left off the list was crying lmao. Towards the end of the meal, and a bit late for what it's worth, I'd adjusted to the spice and was able to finish out the meal without as much issue. Overall a solid, filling lunch spot not too far down the road from Chantilly. I'm thinking I might do Medium instead next time, though. When the chicken comes this fresh out the fryer it's an exhilarating experience, but at what cost?? read more

Hangry Joe's chicken sandwiches are built to compete in the competitive local environment of hot chicken sandwiches. The chicken breasts are BIG, fried to a nice crunchy/crispy level, and definitely spicy. We got medium spicy, and that was no walk in the park; it was a really enjoyable but robust level of hotness. The sandwich was very structurally sound, which is a major point for me. The fries and slaw were also good. Someone in my party did feel that the chicken breast was a little dry though. I am not very sensitive to that sort of thing, so I myself did not notice that. That person would probably award Hangry Joes a 3 star. I am awarding a 4 for my experience, and am throwing in some extra verbal kudos for their wicked cool burning chicken logo. I plan to go back and am very open to upgrading to a 5 star. Prices were typical for NoVA. read more
