Great food, great service, just a great place to eat! One of the best spots around to grab a sub!

Ordered through Uber Eats. Prices are a couple dollars more, per sandwich, plus fees, etc. compared to the regular menu prices. Haven't tried them in a few years for no specific reason. No time like the present when I had a deal from Uber Eats for bogo sandwiches, plus 60% off, up to $20. The sandwiches were ready for pickup by the driver within minutes after ordering. Each sandwich box was marked with a number from 1 to 6, although it didn't have a corresponding legend to compare it to, so it must have been part of an internal prep process. Everyone loved their sandwiches. We tried the meatball, smoked turkey and Italian subs. The bread was soft, the meat and toppings were plentiful and the sauces were on point. Firehouse has very friendly and excellent service. In general the portions are very generous for the price and food quality is great. The bread is wonderful. I hadn't been to Firehouse for several years because it wasn't available where I lived, but I recently moved back to a location that has them. I was disappointed with my sub only because the receipe had changed from years ago. The Steak and Cheese now comes with caramelized onions instead of sautéed onions, so I didn't care for the sweet taste from the onions. However, for those who like that taste it was a wonderful sandwich. Next time I will get the Hook and Ladder and I am sure I will totally enjoy it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for great food with the right choices read more

Me and my husband grabbed a few subs from here the other day. The ambiance of the restaurant walking in has a firehouse feel to it with all sorts of fire house memorabilia to make you feel like you are in a fire department. We ended up just ordering 2 subs . There was hardly anyone in the restaurant but our subs still took 13 minutes to come out which seemed long for there not being anyone there . We also sat down and all of the tables were not cleaned so we cleaned it off ourselves while we waited. When we actually got the subs they were really hot and fresh and tasted good. To be honest for the price you pay I do not think it's worth it (spending 8-9 bucks from a medium sub) so I'm not sure how often I will come back. read more

You can't get a better hook and ladder anywhere. Yes, the prices have gone up, but you'll see the same everywhere. Service with a smile and they have online waiting orders but are just as fast with take out or order in. I like that they have nice sides of chili and Mac cheese, but ultimately I have these at home. Glad that it isn't just limited to chips and soda like some other spots. Close to home and fast. Still miss GREATLY the missing hot sauces. Covid time is over. Give me my sauce, and there might be a five in the future. read more

They get four stars simply because up their origination and maybe a former firefighter well you know. I ordered the steak and cheese. The steak was very weird. I don't remember the steak being like that back in Miami but the restaurant was very clean. Food is probably great, but COVID protocols are too lax for me. They aren't requiring customers to wear masks. In such a small space, that seems crazy to me. I went in to pick up an online order and saw at least eight to ten customers not wearing masks, standing or sitting at tables VERY close to each other and near the food counter. Employees were all wearing masks, which I was happy with, but then I watched one of the employees take off his mask to answer the phone, right behind the counter where all the food is. Food was probably great, but it didn't seem worth risking our health over some sandwiches, so we just took the loss on our money and threw our food away. They're allowed to run their business however they want, but if you're very conscious about COVID precautions like we are, enter at your own risk. read more

I have been wanting to try firehouse subs for sometime now. I decide to give it a try today for lunch. I entered the store at 11:30am there were a lot of customers inside some wearing masks and some not wearing masks. I decided to pick something really quick. I chose the Spicy Cajun Chicken Sandwich. When I got to work I ate the sandwich and it did not impress me. The chicken had a weird texture and the sandwich was not spicy it was mild. Also the price for there sandwich is not great. Depending on a size and meal combo, you could be paying easily over $14. I do not get the hype about this place. I think jersey mikes is better in the quality and quantity of the food you get for the price. I might give firehouse sub a try again but not anytime soon. read more

I have always been happy with this location. Today they were very busy as it was still lunchtime and yet our service was very quick. They have a good variety of sandwiches to choose from or you can design your own. They have 3 sizes on their subs and a combo with a drink and chips us reasonable. I do like a warm sub better than a cold one, and you get a pickle. If you like a good sub this is one of the better places to go. read more

Really nice fire house location! I have been craving firehouse subs for the last week and today I needed a quick lunch on the run. I was in Claremont visiting my family and happening to this to killer location. It was one of the nicer looking locations I have ever been to. The staff was cordial and welcome to me as I walked in as do most locations. And the lady who took our order kept referring to a visual placard to ask what we wanted on our sandwiches which was different. We got our sandwiches to go which I've never done before. They package them up in recyclable cardboard boxes which was pretty cool to see that they were being environmentally friendly about the excess waste. It probably took us 20 minutes to get home from the location and the sandwiches were still warm and put together well. I love firehouse subs this location did not let me down flavor. we came here on Sunday afternoon. We both had beef Brisket 8" subs with cheddar Cheese. The subs were just bailey 7" and did not contain ANY Cheddar cheese at all. I was out of town and decided to try somewhere new! I ordered the 8 inch cheesesteak sub on white which included mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. I got my sandwich to go, and ate it less than 10 minutes later. While the flavor was great, the bread was very soggy and the sandwich a soupy mess! Having said that, I wouldn't order the cheesesteak again. I would consider trying something else though! read more

The food was fair; if you've been to a firehouse subs before, the menu is the same here. My main problem with this location was the dining room was filthy, packed, and the sauces that they have out for the public to use was nearly empty, with what seemed like half of it on the bottle itself. Gross. They have the super duper coke machine where you can get pretty much any drink you want. You select drinks and flavors to go in them, so if you want cherry vanilla root beer instead of just normal diet coke, you can do that if you so please. The machine is very rad, but if the place is a little crowded as it was when I went, you're gonna be waiting in a line in order to get a drink. Disclaimer: I went on kids eat free night, woe is me. I didn't know it was kids night there, or I would have never set foot in that place. This is hopefully the reason for the disorderly, messy dining area. I might try this place again when it isn't kids night, but probably not. read more

I came here for a quick good sub, and I wasn't disappointed. I haven't had Firehouse since I was in collage, so this is a location I've never tried. The place was smaller then the other few I've been to. This location was really clean and upon entering they greeted us with enthusiasm. At the register there was a very friendly employee that took our order. I had the New York Steamer Sub, a bag of Classic Lay's Potato Chips, and a Coke. The sandwich was delicious and hot. A must have. It doesn't feel heavy and it has the right amount of flavor. Definitely add mayo, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes to give it a slight Spanish taste without changing the ingredients it originally comes with. Overall great establishment. read more
