Great service as soon as we walked in and the cashier was very friendly. There are many sandwiches to chipped from, and you can also make your own. I went with the small turkey bacon ranch and it was pretty good. There are three different sandwiches sizes you can choose from and I believe two different kinds of bread. You can also add extra toppings for an extra charge and you can make it a combo at an extra cost. They also have soups and salads if your not feeling a sandwich! We stopped by on Sunday around lunch time and it wasn't to busy. The dining area is pretty big and they also have an outside seating area. There was no line when we walked in so we were helped right away. The dining area was really dirty when we walked in. There were a ton of chip crumbs right in front of the chips rack. You literally had to step on the crumbs to make your way to the register. I literally saw an employee mop the area next to the crumbs but she didn't bother sweeping up the crumbs, uhh why? She looked at the crumbs, pretended not to see them, and walked to the back. We will definitely be back as the food service were good. I went to the George Dieter location yesterday, having never eaten at a Firehouse Subs in my life. Very, very pleasantly surprised, and I'll be back soon. $14.85 is certainly not cheap for a sandwich but I thought it was worth every penny. I had a large New York Steamer on white bread. This sandwich has roast beef and pastrami and it was mostly pastrami. Huge, huge portions of meat, tender and juicy. But what really got me was the flavor. I'm not a mayo fan, but whatever type they are using is just out of this world, and full of flavor. The bread was soft and very fresh. Only order this if you are REALLY hungry! Honestly, it was the most delicious sandwich I've had in a long, long time. I also like the huge selection of fountain drinks to choose from, not your standard pepsi/root beer/sprite. read more

Today I was excited to take my husband to Firehouse for the first time. We've been hearing from so many different coworkers and numerous friends how delicious the subs are here. He had been looking forward to a good hot sub. We walk in and my first turn off was the sticky floors. That to me says a lot about the cleanliness of a business. I brush it off and proceed to the register. We are greeted with a paper sign that apologizes for the inconvenience but the toaster is down. I was devastated. All my husband had been looking forward to was a hot sub. We ordered any way and were very disappointed. The meat was nice and warm and of course the bread was cold. They did not pair well. We returned to work and gave our coworkers the feedback about the toaster only to ALSO be told by many that the toaster has been down for a while. I don't know how soon we'll be back to this location. They have a new one opening up soon closer to home. Only time will tell. read more

If you're not going to hire people smart enough to not put mustard on a sub, then at least hire people that are nice enough to talk to. Even when they are not busy, regardless of the day or time of day, they are rude and apathetic. Their attitude really makes me think that them messing up orders is seriously on purpose. The Manager of the establishment was not friendly and couldn't accommodate a simple request that other employees had previously done so. One simple exchange of 2 fountain drinks for a small bottled drink. My order was a large one and he mentioned how much overpriced the bottled drink is compare to the fountain one; but more than that it was attitude and the non existence willing to help the customer. Never offered to extra charge for the exchanged or any other options. I know, a very simple detail, but for me it does make a difference when deciding where to eat next time; which will definitely not be that establishment. The subs are fine. read more

Today, I came after the lunch rush, but the line was still long (longer behind me). The man in front of me was having issues at the cash register to the far left (from the customer's point of view). So, I asked a female employee that was not helping customers, but was standing behind 1 of 3 cash registers, if any of the other 2 cash registers were open. She told me that they were not. By the time that it was finally my turn to order, that same female took my order. I suggested to her that when the line is long (like it was), they should open additional cash registers. She told me that she does not make the rules, but that she just follows "the owner's rules." read more

This was my first time trying firehouse subs, and I'm thinking it may be my last. I ordered the smokehouse brisket (I believe that's what it's called) regular size with chips and a drink. My wife got the steak and cheese with a side of chicken and dumplings soup. First of all that came up to $30! Now I am not a cheap person when it comes to food, but for a DELI to be so expensive I expect the food to be excellent, or at least good lol. My sandwich literally had a few slices of brisket and cheese with a lot of bbq sauce. I took a bite and was totally disappointed. My brisket seemed mushy if that makes sense. Like it was too soft, or cooked too long, but not in a good/correct way? I could definitely tell this brisket isn't cooked the same as at a bbq place. My wife enjoyed her sandwich but she absolutely HATED the chicken and dumplings, and so did I ! The pickle they give with the sandwich is EXCELLENT omg ! The customer service was really good too. So I'm sharing here because I contacted firehouse corporate and they have not reached out to me so I have to assume they're not gonna do anything. On Friday 04-10-2021 me and the family went to get food around 7:30. We saw a guy in a gray tank top gray shorts no hat and flip flops at the register. When we complained about it to the cashier she said he was an employee and he was off making sure he wasn't gonna do any food prep or anything. So we placed our order and everything. As we're waiting we see the same guy in the FOOD PREP AREA walking up and down the area in the same clothes and apparently off duty. So we demanded a refund on our order. So they went to get the manager out of the food line prep area where this guy was walking around SO THE MANAGER was aware he was doing this and was ok with it. Her response to our complaint was he was just making himself a sandwich, an off duty employee in a tank top in shorts and flip flops. So not even sure where to begin the health code violations and OSHA violations, the manager also had a very difficult time giving us back our refund but she shorted me on it by $5, we paid with card all this was done in a full view of other customers. I wouldn't of had an issue with the off duty employee if he had not been up and down in the food prep area making himself a sandwich in a tank top and shorts with flip flops not to mention the managers attitude. read more

Disappointed in this location. I recently started eating at Firehouse again after 8 years and have to say the quality and standards have definitely dropped from the sub shop I once knew. Every single time I order from this location, the orders are wrong. Something is missing. It's disappointing to see this happen every single time. The taste is usually always good. But everything else about this franchise has seen to drop. Customer service is not the friendly smiling welcoming vibe that it used to be. Sandwiches are prepared sloppily and without care (this isn't subway guys!). The prices are high while the standards are low, too low for the high menu prices. I'm not complaining about the prices; the prices are right for the quality (or at least they once were). The often leave out their signature (the pickle) from sandwiches. I get it's "just a pickle" except it's not "just a pickle". It's a small yet large part of eating at Firehouse. It's a part of the brand and leaving it out like it's "just a pickle" is saying that the sandwiches here are just like any old deli sandwich. I'm ranting here because I once managed a Firehouse many years ago and coming from a family of a firefighter, loved to see the extra support and care they gave to public service workers, their customers and their own employees. It is disappointing to see a great establishment lose those little things that make it special, like pride in their services. Everything about Firehouse used to be amazing. From the freshest of the fresh deli meats, the soft bread, the amazing cookies, the delicious tea, the cheerful greetings of the employees, the sauce varieties. It seems like everything went from a full 10, to a "meh" 4. Not so great. Maybe it's just the management not maintaining standards, or maybe Firehouse has slowly stopped caring about their brand. read more

The only reason I'm giving this location one star is the service. I stopped in yesterday 5/04/2019 at about 6:00 pm for dinner. It's like I had to beg these guys to do their job. Didn't offer me a drink carrier even though I ordered four combos to go and was by myself (the cashier even handed me the cups with his hand inside the rim) gross. Drink area was dirty. Hot sauce area was dirty and almost every bottle was empty. There was four empty bottles of the firehouse sauce and when I asked if there was anymore the guy behind the counter said "Yeah just go get a new bottle over there" pointing to the new bottles they had for sale. So I did and of course the little cups to put sauce into to go weren't stocked so I had to ask them If I could have a couple and started getting attitude from the employees. I had to keep asking for little things from these guys that should have been ready and stocked because they were not busy at all. Then the lazy guys tried to stuff all large sandwiches in one bag so of course the bag wouldn't close and there was no room to put chips in. To top it off they didn't include any pickles on the side how they usually do and they put onions on everything I had asked them not to put onions on. I like the food here but the service and training needs change. Screwed up on charging me, then when I called them out on the issue the maybe 20 yr old in charge with all of her vast experience proceeded to tell me how it was my fault and I ordered wrong, even though I did as instructed by the cashier. I told het she needs to listen. She stomped off and told someone else to take my order. Finally, another employee came up and I asked to see the manager to report her behavior. Manager wasn't there.
