A friend and I went to this Whataburger location for a quick bite. We went through the drive-thru. It took about five minutes for someone to acknowledge us. After that, we waited about another five minutes for our food to be ready. My friend ordered buffalo wings and fries. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger and fries. The fries were nothing special, to be honest. The fries definitely needed more seasoning. The Sweet and Spicy Burger was good. I did like the sauce they used for the burger. I would have rated my experiences a three just for the burger, but the services knock it down to a two.

The food is great for fast food! Dining in was nice the music was a good neutral jam from modern pop to old-school rock. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming!! The employees worked very well together & waitresses were very polite patient along informative all of the food ordered today came out awesome, well proportioned, prepared, and well presented, and beyond fair pricing

Many story's I have heard, but to be able to experience it is was great :)

For being out of town person I will return to this location. All 13 of my family members had to visit this location and it was great. The girl from the register she was supper friendly has great costumer service and lots of patience. Thank you so much. Food was freshly made and location was super clean.

I finally saw a short line, so we had to try it. The order process is similar to Chick-fil-A. Two people with tablets taking orders and payments outside. No inside dining is available at this time. They were really accommodating for my vegetarian needs. The staff was friendly and the line moved fairly fast. The only downside was that I saw the menu after I ordered so I missed out on some things I would have loved to try. The food was hot and tasted very similar to the Jackson MS location. We will be back.

This location is coming soon. At the time of this posting, the framework of the building has just been laid. It's Update: I initially added a review months ago because someone added it on Yelp before they officially opened. Now I have experienced it and I wasn't impressed. I live about a mile away and have seen & heard about all the hullabaloo, with long lines etc. Since i had the burgers before, I figured I'd try out the breakfast since it appeared that only 4 cars were ahead of me in the drive thru line before 7am. So, considering the 2 months of training they had before opening, surely this wouldn't take long. Wrong. 30 minutes later, I was presented with my food. After also waiting 6 minutes after paying. (I think they started on my food after I paid). Anyway, I assumed the honey chicken biscuit would be larger and perhaps have some premium quality, considering the price. But it was kinda tiny. It was tasty though. My husband did not like the taquito (that resembled other restaurants' burritos since it wasn't fried). I thought it was ok. The cinnamon rolls were pleasing. Nothing over the top good. But better than average. My husband and other friends reminded me that this is called WhatABURGER and I should've known better. Ok, I'll go back in another month or so once they work out their kinks.

Horrible customer service and Food. You're gonna wait 30 minutes for four piece nugget and a hamburger needs to be closed down.

You're better off driving to another what's burger down the street. You'll get your food faster that way.

3.5, I think? This was a tough one for me to rate…read more My aunt lives near Las Tortugas and I've been reading about and thinking about visiting for years whenever I'm in the Memphis area. The stars aligned on this most recent visit and so I got to try them. This location in Germantown is a little easy to miss signage-wise, but Google Maps got me here easily. The parking lot is small but paved nicely and easy to navigate. The inside of the restaurant does feel like a deli, with a counter to order at and a small but reasonable amount of seating. The restaurant's accolades are plastered on walls and the glass windows around the food prep area and it's fun to read the history and writing about this place. There is one semi-essay seemingly from the owner, directed at patrons, grousing about customers having certain expectations about the food they're served (Tex-Mex versus authentic Mexican, for example). The owner is adamant that authentic Mexican is served here, and I have no reason to doubt that at all nor expect anything different, but I must admit the tone was rather off-putting. I can see how it would be frustrating to have your food, your work, be misunderstood or misinterpreted, but it kind of felt like I was being lectured when I hadn't done anything, lol. At any rate, I walked up to the counter to order. Service was adequately if not /especially/ friendly. I placed an order for a sandwich (Tortugas de pollo) as well as a limonada (fresh-squeezed limeade) to go. I waited at one of the tables and my order was ready for me in a reasonable amount of time. My favorite thing was the limonada! It had closer to an Icee texture than a juice or limeade texture but I really liked it. Pleasantly sweet and sour and very refreshing. The sandwich was good if not mind-blowing. Maybe my expectations were just a little too high. One problem was that it got pretty soggy very, very fast - it took me less than 10 minutes to get back to my aunt's house and unbox my food and in that time, the bottom piece of bread on my sandwich was close to falling apart. Some of the chicken was also a little too strong-tasting for me; it's hard to describe but I imagine we've all had chicken that's a little too obviously...well, chicken, lol. Not super mild tasting meat, I guess is what I'm trying to say. That aside, I enjoyed the texture of the cheese and the heat of the peppers. The top slice of bread was also nice and crusty. The sandwich came served with a handful of chips less generous than it appears in the photo and some green salsa. The chips were a little over-fried for me but decent enough, and the subtly spicy salsa went well with them. I think the greatest sticking point for me is the price vs. the quantity of food vs. the relative enjoyment. My meal was a solid bit over $30. I prooooobably could've split the sandwich with someone else and been okay, but given the relatively paltry amount of chips, I was also okay eating it as a solo diner. I think if the price had been a little lower, or the portion of chips a little bigger, or the enjoyment of the sandwich a little greater - any one of those things - this would probably round up to a 4. But ultimately the sticker shock and somewhat condescending vibes lead to a lower rating from me. Idk, I would definitely say this restaurant is worth a try and I'm glad I experienced it and would recommend trying it to others who enjoy this type of Mexican food. That said, I'm also not completely confident I'd return on another visit to Memphis. Well, okay, I would definitely for the limonada. That thing was awesome. ;)

The restaurant was not overly busy, which made the entire experience relaxed and enjoyable from the moment we walked in. The first thing that stood out was the service. Everyone there was welcoming, patient, and genuinely friendly. Since it was our first time trying a few things on the menu, we had several questions, and the staff took the time to explain everything without making us feel rushed. They gave recommendations, explained the toppings and flavors, and helped make ordering easy. I decided to try the specialty hot dogs, and honestly, they were amazing. They were packed with flavor and loaded with fresh toppings that worked perfectly together. The combination of creamy avocado, fresh vegetables, sauces, and perfectly cooked meat created a unique flavor that was both fresh and filling. Every bite had something different going on, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality and made with care. The presentation alone looked incredible, but the taste backed it up completely. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy good food with family or friends. Nothing felt rushed, and the overall vibe made the experience even better. If you are looking for something different from the usual restaurant options and want flavorful food with friendly service, Las Tortugas is definitely worth visiting. We will absolutely be coming back again.

Looking for a plant based restaurant in Memphis is very difficult…read more The experience here solidifies my feelings. I've been here about 3-4 times for various items and none are impressive. The smoothie bowl was melted, the fresh juice was pre juiced and poured in to a cup, and the zucchini noodle bowl was just... bleh. In this economy to toss a plate due to undercooked sweet potato and over cooked zucchini noodles as well as lack of flavor is sad, but expected. My advice to this establishment would be; plant based does not mean lack of flavor. Nor does it mean lack of presentation bc my food looked like it was thrown into a box. Very unappealing. Cashew ranch is impressive! Hence my two stars. Would not recommend and won't be coming back.

All ingredients look pretty and I'm sure are nutritious, but just lack much flavor of any kind. We all took bites of each others to try. It wasn't just me thinking something was missing. An onion, pepper, egg, sauces etc should be identifiable based on taste. I never add salt or pepper at restaurants but this place had me scanning for some. Didn't see any at the outside seating area. It's an order first and then seat yourself type of place. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Menu has lots of options breakfast and lunch. I gave 2 stars because to me a restaurant has to start with good identifiable flavors. Everything else is secondary. I do appreciate having healthy options.
