It looked pretty long, but the staff moved through customers incredibly fast. That's usually a good sign that a place is worth the wait, and it definitely was. Don't let the line discourage you--it goes by quickly. The sandwiches are generously loaded with fillings, and the bread is made fresh in-house. I even saw several people leaving with loaves of bread, which says a lot about the quality. I ordered the grilled pork bánh mì, and it was excellent. The vegetables were fresh, the pork was flavorful, and everything came together perfectly. You can also watch the staff prepare the sandwiches through a large glass window, which adds to the experience and lets you see the care that goes into each order. It's easy to see why this has become a local favorite. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee, and it was fantastic. It was rich, bold, and exactly what I was hoping for. I think I would have rated this place higher if it wasn't over hyped for me. The banh mi I thought was just OK. Banh Mi Che Cali's are are just as good and much cheaper. I wish I could give a separate rating just for the banh cuon. Cause that was delicious and exceeded expectations. Fish sauce was made really well. I'll give them the credit for the generous size, but it was honestly upsetting to see that it was stuffed with nothing but veggies. The Shredded Chicken had absolutely zero flavor. The Grilled Pork was dry, skimpy, and lacked any char that would make it memorable. If you are in the Tustin area, do yourself the favor and drive the extra 10 minutes to Garden Grove. Been coming to THH in Tustin for years mostly because it's conveniently located near where the kids go to school. They mostly make food to go but there are tables and chairs so you can eat at the restaurant. I usually will order their spring rolls, Vietnamese iced coffee (delicious and strong!) and grass jelly basil seed drink. I have also ordered their sandwiches either with meatball or shredded chicken (the girls like), Viet udon noodles, fish porridge, bun thang, or bun rieu. The flavor is mediocre, sometimes bland compared to the restaurants in the Westminster/Bolsa area. But if you're in the Tustin area, it's pretty convenient. read more

I ordered a spam and egg Bahn mi sandwich and chicken curry with rice. The sandwich was ready in less than 5 minutes so I nibbled on that while waiting for the chicken curry. The sandwich is packed with jalapenos, cilantro, and sliced cucumbers amongst other ingredients which gives it a good amount of flavors. The chicken curry had a good flavor with coconut milk mixed in but the texture of it was thin and liquidy compared to a typical curry. It had big chunks of carrots, potatoes and chicken though that was very tender and well cooked. On my second visit I had ordered online but the online menu only had sandwiches, featured sides and drinks. I got the spam and egg Bahn mi again and a trio combo pack spring roll. I meant to order egg rolls but it wasn't on the online menu. I'm glad I ordered online because when I went to pick it up, it was very busy and there was a long line of people waiting for their food. I was waiting where it said pickup and was trying to get the attention of someone but the staff just reads numbers and never looked up. I then went in the line to order the food and was able to pick up my online order. The sandwich was as good as I first got it. But I think Pickle Bahn Mi had better baguette, it tasted more buttery to me. The 3 pack spring roll I got had pork sausage, summer and shrimp and pork. The summer one looked like it had egg in it. My favourite out of the three is the shrimp and pork. The peanut sauce was also surprisingly good, not ascetic or vinegary like some sauces. It shares the same space as the Kolachi Factory and Chocolate Bash, so it can get pretty packed during peak lunch hour. I recommend this place for anyone who loves a good Bahn Mi under $8. Grabbed the Dac Biet Banh Mi from here. Thought it would be a good idea because the Westminster location made one of my favorite banh mi's since moving to Socal. The sandwich itself is very lacking. There was maybe 3 thin slices of pork and little to no pate. This hurt immensely because the pate is the best part, so the sandwich just tasted like vegetables. Service was also very slow. Today I was informed that an order of $50 and above is considered a catering order and in order to order on the phone you will need to provide your full credit card information including your security code. Although I ordered my normal order of 6 packages of spring rolls and it came out to be $46.87 including tax, the employee said in order to place the order to give the full information. This made me very uncomfortable to give my information but also that it did not follow the requirement and made me very confused why I needed to provide my credit card information.
