The food is always good here but the experience here is not good, I get it y'all close at nine, but I shouldn't walk in at 8:30 for the Hispanic gentleman with the long hair to only look at me and start shaking his head and then keep scolding me as I'm getting my drinks. Not to mention there are little kids chilling in the back. My first bad experience here was very similar the same Hispanic gentleman with the distasteful attitude did the same thing shaking his head and mumbling under his breath not to mention my food was wrong and the order was also smaller than what I ordered.... If you don't like your job find a different one YOU as the employee hose this job, y'all are OPEN UNTIL 9 NOT 8:30. Get over it man. I usually love firehouse. The service, the food, everything is usually perfect! However, this Sherman location was terrible. I placed an online order. The location in McKinney, usually greets me when I walk in & points me in the direction of my order super nice & helpful. This location didn't greet me. I had to ask where my order was, where my cups are & they were hesitant to help. On top of the unfriendly staff, the food was made terribly. This place has continuously gone downhill from day one. From the unfriendly and unknowing staff to the inconsistent food quality. The folks cooking should take more pride in their appearance. A cook with a filthy apron and shirt, that is sweating is very off putting and unappetizing. There was no ice and we were unaware until after paying. We were eventually refunded but after some back and forth where the employee was trying to convince me that the drinks were cold without ice. Only my second time Tina FireHouse subs. I don't understand why these chain restaurants do NOT sufficiently train there Staff? The girl taking our order was about as frustrating as an employee could make a customer Zero clue how to take an order that needed Items removed I ordered two Steak & Cheese neither one has cheese on them and I told her over and over again no Mayo and Mustard or Mushrooms pretty Dang simple just not so simple for an undertrained employee same with the third sandwich wanted just a bacon cheese and mayo sandwich Nope she looked right at me and said well I don't know how to do that my response was you should figure it out then! $27 bucks for 2 large and 1 small sandwich and we didn't even get what we asked for!! We ]go to Firehouse Subs about once a week, but since proper customer service is NOT a priorty to the manager, they have lost our business. It took the $8 per hour employee (we only know this bc he told us this as he was trying to deescalte the situation) to fix the problem and remake our sandwiches. Instead of the MANAGER fixing the problem, he was yelling at us and cursing profoundly, he called the cops telling us to leave without our food or refund. I've been to Firehouse Subs a couple of times in Garland. I decided to go try the one in Sherman, not bad. This time I tried the Cheddar Brisket it was pretty good. BBQ sauce and mayonnaise on top. The melted cheddar was very good; I would much prefer the New York Steamer though, it has corned beef brisket and pastrami with provolone...verrrry mouth watering; I've also tried it with the smoked turkey instead of the pastrami. Overall, good atmosphere, but the location was sort of hidden. If you weren't in the area of Bestbuy, you wouldn't have seen it. The place was pretty clean, service was wonderful. Stopped by with my mom who with her back injury was not able to go inside so I asked for a menu to show her in the car and the young man got flustered and called for his manager who advised me that they were unable to let me walk outside with the menu as a previous customer had taken off with it for 3 hours the week before. Also told me 4 times the prices were not accurate. It was embarrassing as others were observing and I decided to take my business elsewhere. I just wanted to try Firehouse as I had never been to this sub shop. Perhaps some new menus should be ordered as well as teaching some positive customer appreciation. read more

This place has the tastiest subs of anyplace in Sherman. Their salads are also great. The club on a sub is my favorite. Staff has always been friendly and the one time they got my order wrong they fixed it at once. If I am looking for a sub in Grayson county this is always my choice. There are many sub sandwich shops around the United States, of those I've tried I think Firehouse Subs is the absolute best. The sandwiches are always freshly made and very tasty, also I like the fact that every purchase made at a Firehouse Subs location actually benefits our nation's fire personnel and where would we be without them? As I said every purchase helps the firefighters in some way but from time to time throughout the year they have special promotions that give even greater help. Worst experience ever!! I typically like Firehouse Subs, the last two locations I've been to have been awful but this one takes the cake! The restaurant is dirty and gross, we almost turned around and walked out at this point. The 3 boys running the place clearly didn't want us in the restaurant at all. The snotty nose (literally) boy dressed in a dirty company shirt and pajama pants behind the counter wouldn't even look at us even one time. He told us he didn't have what we wanted, we had to choose something else, so we did. While we were sitting waiting on our food they all three were laughing and we overheard that same boy say "Hope they like turkey" while they all laughed. I had enough when we heard one say "whoops, better cover that up!" I asked for my money back and said I wasn't eating there and asked for his name, he let me know he was the owner's son, as if that made any difference as to what just happened.
