My boyfriend and I went here today and we thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a soup and some mac & cheese and the portions were incredibly small. They also didn't serve them on dishes. It was in takeout containers, even though we were dining in. Also, my boyfriend salad was really underwhelming and mostly lettuce. There wasn't much of a salad. Also, one of the workers when we came in, was really rude and was actually quite rude to one of her coworkers in front of us. I felt bad for the lady that was trying to help us. Then they had this other guy that was trying to bust dishes and do things, but when we were trying to find a booth, 6 or 7 of the tables were still dirty with dishes and he was standing around doing nothing, talking to himself like he was possibly schizophrenic. There were only two "clean" tables. The guy kept saying things like "... Disgusting and... Bringing evil stuff in here" I didn't know what he was talking about but it was weird. 10 out of 10 would not go here again. Not worth it. read more

Everything could improve! It was pretty dang bad and all I went in for was a gallon of tea! The girl at the front had a whole attitude when I ordered the gallon. She looked at the tea container and sighed like she was about to have to make some more. Then she yelled at the guy in the back for his login numbers which he didn't want to give her. The worst service I've ever received anywhere in my life. The gentleman taking my order was visibly irritated with his head down sighing. You can tell he was having a bad day/hates his job. Mumbling so I politely said pardon and he was pissed he had to repeat himself although I didn't mind repeating myself several times when he couldn't get a ham kids meal a kids pizza and a salad down. They were out of the cheese for my salad ... no problem kitchen guy seemed very nice! Before I could finish my kids meal order he rudely said IT COMES WITH A SIDE. Which I'm very aware of. I don't like getting cut off when I'm speaking, it's rude as hell and unnecessary. If he would shut his mouth people could order faster and the line wouldn't be so damn long. Lucky for him I had my children with me or I would've spoken my mind about the way I was treated just simply trying to order. This has to be the lowest rated and worst service of any McAlister's. It's 100% the fault of poor management. They are never staffed properly and workers are often very rude. No one was working the front counter and the line started to grow. I saw 6 customers leave because of the issue. It is taking customers 45 minutes to get a sandwich. What a joke. read more

The place was not busy and all and half the tables were full of trash and people's empty plates. The floor was nasty. The "clean" tables at closer inspection were not really clean. We were such a bother to the employees and they had bad attitudes. The customers are the reason they have a job. Don't act like we inconvenienced you! Would give 0 Stars if I could. Ordered nachos which just cheese sauce and chips. It's obvious when I asked about it that they don't know the difference between cheese sauce and queso. They did even offer to refund my money when my food was not right. Also my husband ate their version of a club sandwich and was said it was not all that good. He didn't even finish his sandwich. The food I got was 5 star quality, but the customer service was abysmal. The counter workers just weren't interested in helping customers. They never made an attempt to get people their drink while they waited on their order to speed the process. They never answer the phones and the floor is always filthy. Not enough staff members and terribly managed. 1/10 don't recommend. This was my first time at this particular location, but I love McAllister's in general. The lady that took our order walked away three times to talk to the guys in the back about various things. My husband stood up there, waiting on our drinks for a while. When he brought the drinks to the table, he went back to get the number, but she was already bringing out my order. My husband's order did not come. He went back up there to get his order and she walked away and was visiting with the guys in the back who were basically playing behind in the kitchen while I could see them. He got tired of waiting, so he came back to our table. She brought his food in a bag instead of on a plate. There were no utensils. He went back to ask for utensils, and she sent him over to a different place to pick them up. This is not how it supposed to go out to McAllister's. McAllister's has excellent food and excellent service... This particular location does not live up to that. To add insult to injury... The table beside us had to send their order back because it was done incorrectly. All of this and they were only three tables of customers in the building. I have long enjoyed mccallisters spuds. My favorite is Spud Max. My order today was nothing like my previous orders. The potato had less than one-third the toppings of other orders. One of the toppings is green onions, there were 2 small pieces of onion. The small portion of toppings were in the middle of my giant spud, there was more plain potato than the part with toppings. read more

Absolutely understand why they only rate a 2.5. Had I checked Yelp before stopping, I never would have showed up. Spicy turkey melt only had turkey on half the sandwich and that was hardly thick enough to see. The bread was dry and horrible. My wife's baked potato must have been made last week and recooked every day since. Resembled a carcass. I really do dig this place. Great soups, sandwiches and salads! Just as good if you get it to go! I really like the southwest cobb salad with a chipolte dressing and grilled chicken! The big nasty sandwich is good, beef and cheese with a side of au jus...yummy! They also have delicious iced tea here. When I finally placed a sandwich combo for my side a mac & cheese. Instead of making it cheaper and just putting my mac and cheese for my side they charged me extra for a mac&cheese I didn't realize until after I paid. Since I have lived in Shreveport I have never visited this mccallisters before. I came here for lunch during the week and had a great experience. When you walk in, it is confusing on where the line starts and where the line should end and how people should line up. The only non-positive comment I have about this place. I ordered a BLT sandwich that came with a side, and I got some mac n cheese. I also ordered a sweet tea and a chocolate chip cookie. They gave me my number and I sat at an available table. The food was soon delivered and was delicious! I am not a huge tea drinker, but I enjoy their tea, and I love mac n cheese and I love their mac n cheese. With a BLT I don't think you can go wrong, and was tasty. The chicolate chip cookie was really doughy, just how I like em.
