Food and service is always amazing. restaurant is extremely hot, cannot stay for dine in. No Ac when its 97 degrees outside.

Quality of food was great and fresh! Quick service and employees are attentive and friendly. The location is clean and very convenient.

I would give zero if possible. 2 kids running the restaurant. We came in and no one even spoke to us. The bathroom was the best part of the restaurant. Subs that were made were not what we ordered. Soda machine was mostly empty of flavors and worst of all not a napkin in the place! We were dining in and our subs were supposed to have deli mustard and they replaced it with gobs of mayo. I had to get bathroom paper towels to wipe our hands. The 2 Spanish speaking girls stayed in the back giggling up until the time we left. Go somewhere else where they treat you like a valued customer. There're just too many places to dine. Oh, and now we cannot get out of the chairs, because they are so sticky! Yuck! I ordered a Italian, it was great with plenty of cheese and meat, and lots of flavor, but why on earth does it take 30 minutes to make a single sandwich? The service here is extremely slow. Well, I tried 5 times to call, once we were hung up on. We were trying to call you to let you know that the milk you sent with our kids meals is over 2 weeks expired and you may want to check it in the cooler. We was just trying to give you a heads up. Thanks for not answering the phone and sending us to your full voicemail box. Didn't want to have to to notify this way. Oh, and the food was incredibly sloppy and the soup was upside down in the bag and leaked all over our kids sandwich's. Good thing there is another firehouse subs in the clock tower not far away and a jersey mikes around the corner. That was a waste of 85.00 with delivery fees. Also, after reading all the other negative comments about this place, i don't need fluff from the guest services doing nothing to fix the problem or offer a resolution. Not one person was offered anything, just bunch of fluff letting "management " know. Obviously they are part of the problem or they wouldn't continue to get shitty ratings. 2.5 stars? They don't answer the phone, no matter if you call five times or 50. The employees would rather not work than make customers happy. No one would answer the phone so I had to place a pick up order online. I scheduled it for "ASAP" and when checking out it showed that it would be ready in 10-20 minutes. Then, as soon as I paid it says my order will be ready to pick up tomorrow at 11am. I tried calling the store again to see if they were making it tonight or if it truly got bumped until tomorrow but no answer, again. So now I'm trying to cancel the order and get refunded but there's no way to do that online and no one who can help me from the store. Failing to receive any kind of service from this place. I guess I should just expect less from here. 0/5 stars. Hopefully I can hear from the management team! But I doubt that. read more

However today, at 2:05pm I ordered via GH through Yelp and here it is 2:35pm and my daughter and I are happily eating our sandwhiches. I will also mention that both orders had special requests which were both met IN addition to the pickle being included with both was lovely. If you enjoy having your order taken and food being made by an employee who does not wear a mask during a global pandemic (and when it is an executive order in Virginia right now) this is the place to go! All of the patrons in the restaurant and the other employees were all wearing masks except a male worker with red hair and a goatee. I like firehouse subs, for a sub place. It's better than subway and WAY better than Quiznos. I like this place as an alternative to fast food, it can be slightly healthy. I have noticed on the best two sandwiches I've gotten that the sandwich is wet. I don't know if the lettuce is wet or maybe there is too much mayonnaise but the meat kinda slides out as I eat and towards the end the sandwich tends to drip. I am willing though to eat more sandwiches with varying requests (no lettuce, no mayo etc.) to get to the bottom of this mystery! read more

Horrible customer service and slow employees. I have so much to say about my experience but feel it's not even worth mentioning. Just take my word for it and avoid this location. What I can say is that the manager needs to step up and hire competent employees. 3 people working behind the counter and all of them were slow, kept me waiting even though it was empty, and not friendly at all. Just basic manners could have earned this place a couple extra stars. I blame the manager and his lack of training and managerial skills. Very friendly and prompt. Had our food within 5-6 minutes after ordering and it was correct and my hot sandwich was actually hot so that was a plus! Wide selection of things to get and can get single or as part if a combo. The drinks were also part of a wide selection One thing I loved is the rounding of the bill and having that go support the local fire companies. Unusual experience at this location. Ordered steak and cheese, very boring sandwich. Only the green peppers gave the sandwich any flavor and that's indistinguishable from any other sandwich shop out there. Also, gave the cashier a $20 bill for an $11 order and he held it up to the light to check for counterfeit in front of all the other patrons. Maybe they've had a rash of bad $20's, or he's been trained to do this but there was no explanation. Treating customers like criminals to their faces is not usually a good customer service strategy. I came here at 7:40 on a Wednesday night and was the only customer. I ordered a large steak sub and meanwhile the place filled up behind me. I finally got my sub at 8:15. I decided to give firehouse grill a try today, people everywhere were proclaiming that it is amazing, so you can imagine my disappointment that it is not anywhere close. I ordered a meatball sub for $8.29, and for that price I expect a great sub. The staff was very professional and fun and when they brought out my sub it looked exactly like the sub on the picture so kudos to you guys. However, this is where the good stuff stops. The meatball sub has so many problems. Not only was the meatballs not individually seasoned making them bland inside, but the sauce on top wasn't even a marinara. It resembled homemade pizza sauce and with the amount of oregano they put on I couldn't taste anything else. I'm pretty sure that not all the subs are like this, however I can only talk about the experience I had. I was one of only 2 there so there wasn't a major rush.
