While in the area for business I came here for breakfast one morning... The manager who was working the counter was friendly and very helpful. The place was spotless, clean, well-decorated for the holidays, and very welcoming! The food was excellent and fresh! Prices are decent too. Not sure why Roy's doesn't do better because they're seriously better than McDonalds (150% better!) and they're better than most other fast food joints. I miss being able to come to a Roy Roger's more often, because they closed so many, but when I get the opportunity to go, I'm never disappointed! STOP IN FOR GOOD FAST FOOD!!! read more

One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time is the Sourdough Egg, Ham and Cheese. It always tastes made to order and very fresh. The sourdough bread is toasted but soft on the inside. I love Roy Rogers but the service has gone down hill. I don't go often and they had a great manager named Cary nicest guy who is just a big Teddy Bear but haven't seen him recently. Been twice in the last few months, once at breakfast time. There were only 2 employees one cooking and one doing the front and drive thru. The older woman said to use the machine which I did but can't pay cash so I told her and still took her forever to take my order. My daughter wanted the mini chicken sandwiches but they hadn't made any, if we had known this would have gone to Chik fil a. Went again tonight got there about 3:30 so not peak time,again only 2 employees working we ordered our food, my sandwich and my daughters chicken were sitting on the tray at the front for like 3 minutes so I went up to get the order (they didn't call) to see no French Fries so I took my daughters food to her, I than went back up and the younger guy said were waiting on your fries I sat there and watched him put it in the fryer while I was standing there but our other food was sitting getting cold. I told him I was going to take the sandwich because I didn't want cold food the manager was right there and heard me. I went sat down to eat, but no French Fries every came. I went back up and said we never got our French Fries, he gave them all to the order after ours and than he was making well done French Fries for another customer and was getting ready to take them off, he than said he will put them in. I wound up just asking for a refund for the fries because I had been driving all day was tired and wanted to get home, so I asked for a refund for the fries. The manager gave me the money back for the fries, I think he was going to give me the prorated amount since there cheaper in a meal than if you buy seprately but don't think he knew how to do it. Honeslty he should have given us a refund for the whole meal considering our food would have been sitting up at the front for who knows how long if I hadn't taken it and basically sucks to spend the amount of money we did for only half a meal that wasn't that good. I wish I had just left the sandwich and chicken up there and told him to make new ones, but again I was tired and starving. read more

The breakfast fries were burnt, they were a part of 2 of the meals The sausage gravy tasted like sour milk which was 1 meal and also had ordered a side. It's been a while since I've been to roy rogers but I was in the neighborhood. First thing is this location was so clean, I couldn't believe it. I went up to order and I believe it was the manager who took my order and she was the nicest, sweetest woman I've met in a long time. Her demeanor was everything. When I first moved to DC years ago, there was a Roy Rogers very close to my complex. We didn't have Roy Rogers where I lived growing up, and I had only been to them a few times over the years when on vacation. So, the novelty factor kicked in, and I literally went everyday for a week, until I got it out of my system. Unfortunately, that location soon after closed up shop, and I have only been to a Roy Rogers a few times over the years since then (always when I was on the road). So, when I found myself in Leesburg yesterday taking my son to an appointment and there was suddenly a Roy Rogers in site, I was so excited to go there for lunch! While Roy Rogers has definitely changed over the years, it was still a fun and very yummy experience! The décor was cute, with a western feel, and the TV was set to ESPN! The staff was friendly and helpful, including coming up to me while we were eating to see if there was anything I needed! I got a cheeseburger special, and my son got the fried chicken tenders special. His came with a biscuit and happily for me he doesn't like biscuits! But the best thing for me was the Pumpkin Pie milkshake! It was definitely the absolute perfect timing for a visit!! It tasted perfect! Exactly what a pumpkin milkshake should taste like! The cheeseburger was delicious, and it was great being able to go to Roy's Fixin's Bar, which had a nice selection of toppings and sauces! While I stuck to ketchup and mayonnaise for my burger, I got several sauces for my fries! They were great! The biscuit was wonderful! Extremely flavorful! I didn't even need to add butter, though they did provide me with some. Their breakfast egg biscuit sandwiches must be so good! It was a totally delicious meal, though I was soooo stuffed after! But now I already miss that Pumpkin Pie milkshake! I need to find more excuses to get to Leesburg! read more

Odd to find myself reviewing Roys but we had some a great visit here while going to the outlets. My husband loves Roy Rogers so we go whenever we get a chance, i.e. on the NJ turnpike. The food was as solid as you can get for fast food. We had the chicken and also the chicken sandwich. The manager was so nice. He brought out balloons for all the little kids. Made sure everything was clean and to our liking. They told us about Thursday family night which we would go to if we lived nearby. read more

It's a shame that Roy Rogers isn't has abundant in restaurants as it was in the 80s and 90s. IMO, RR has THE best tasting roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken in the area. Not to mention the fixin's bar (create your own salad ;) ) for your burgers and sandwiches. Coca Cola Freestyle machine? Yep! Country music in the background? Yep! I cheated and stopped by here before lunch. My Attorney's office was just down the street, and this place is the only location of a handful that are left in this area. And since I drove all the way over here to Leesburg, I had no other choice. Everyone knows that this place is famous for their roast beef sandwiches, and I've known it for years- trust me! I decided to order the large roast beef sandwich instead of just the regular because it wouldn't have made much sense, when Would pay just $2.00 more for the large sandwich. Unfortunately I remember this establishment from my youth, and we decided to try it. A friend and I had the chicken tenders, and I had a burger as well, either the tenders were undercooked or expired, but I got food poisoning and so did my friend. We have been frequently in the restroom with diarrhea and vomiting. I have had severe cramps and weakness, cold sweats. Do better Roy this is awful and I will never go back. But the food........ If you don't come here during lunch or when they are busy the chicken tends to be old or dry. The other day my bf went and got a chicken tender box and the food was so fresh. Me and my daughters come every Thursday for family night and we always have a great time! They always have a fun activity and a kids movie. Everyone at this location is very nice and the food is on point. I want to say that the manager Casey is wonderful and always makes coming to Roy Rogers a pleasant experience. My daughters love him and he always remembers them and engages them in conversation. He helps every guest with a smile! I also remember him from the daytime. What happened to Roy Rogers breakfast? It used to be my favorite, but something has changed. The crescent sandwich was limp and greasy. That's greasy on top of the crescent. ??? And what happened to the breakfast fries? Are they refrigerating yesterday's batch and recirculating it? Or have they been frozen and reheated? Everytime I go here I always go for the Fried Chicken. They have the best homemade like breading. After I eat it I don't feel disgusting unlike when I eat at Popeyes or KFC. Their mashed potatoes gravy goes well with the chicken so don't be afraid to dip it. To tell you the truth, I've never had anything else in this fast food joint other than the fried chicken so I can't really speak much on anything else. Hence you gotta try the chicken. Came to Popeyes today and after coming to this location for over 15 years I am pretty disappointed. I came in at 2:41pm and ordered an 8 piece chicken meal. At the time there was not enough chicken available and I was told by John that I would have to wait 16 minutes for my order. I agreed and decided to wait. 20 minutes later I went up to the counter and asked Kimberly, the manager how much longer it would be for my order to be completed, she replied with 14 minutes. I then ask her why I have to wait 34 minutes for my order. She gets an attitude and tells me, "it takes 16 minutes, you want your money back!" I then tell her, I have been waiting for 20 minutes already and she walks away. Can't believe she is the manager. As the manager she should be a bit more approachable, friendlier and she should be able to de-escalate any conflict, rather she got offended and upset.
