Visited here on a Sunday afternoon when it was just about empty. There was one couple (just two people) in front of me who ordered -- just two sandwiches. First off i think most the reviews here are fake from corporate. i ate there. firehouse is overpriced. steak sub was puny and i got the large. i knew i was in trouble when i saw a worker weighing the amount of steak for the sub. i paid 8.50 for the sub, it was worth 6.00 the salad i got was 6.00, it was worth maybe 3.00. yes the place looked clean. but the problem with firehouse subs is they only look good. they are too expensive for what you get. i wish i had just bought a sub at subway loaded with veggies. that is a much better value. Better yet Santini's kills this place. Firehouse looks good but does not deliver. "Founded by Firemen"? Firemen would not survive on these portions. read more

Just discovered this place. I've driven by these sub shops for years but always opted for something else. That changed recently when we stopped for lunch there one day and had a brisket sandwich. I may have had better sandwiches in my life, but I don't remember when. Now I can't get it out of my mind. I will definitely be going back soon. read more

First off all. The guy ringing me up had his headphones on and didn't really hear me well when I was ordering which kind of annoyed me. I had to repeat myself like a damn parrot. The next thing I asked if they had a chicken salad sandwich and the guy said they did and then he ends up telling me that they don't have it with me expecting that I was going to get my sandwich. I'm pretty sure the manager on duty needs to pay more attention to helping out the business instead of having me and other clients wait for our food that WE paid for. Time management is a priority in food service which these degenerates lack of along with making a sandwich correctly. What kind of "chicken sandwich" doesn't bring mayo after I asked for it? Clearly the guy taking orders needs to take off his stupid AirPod and listen to what people order, maybe you place would be a five star sandwich shop if upper management hired competent people. I get better service at McDonald's telling me their ice cream machine isn't working than these bums. Oh and his half assed sorry wont fix the fact that my sandwich was wrong and it won't fix the fact that the AirPod imbecile can't take an order correctly. I went to get a sub and ordered it but it takes to long . Many other places I go are a lot faster. The sub was good and I did enjoy it but the staff seem to move at a slow pace. One gentleman ask if his sub was ready. The staff did take it to him when it was ready as he was hard of hearing and was some what confused . There was not that many in the store and I didn't think it should take this long to make. read more

this place! Very friendly staff and the facility is always very clean. Even the drink area during a rush has been very well kept. The owner really knows what he's doing here. He is very friendly and says hi, even when you see him at home depot! As if amazing service was not enough, the food is delicious. Made how you would like it and it's quick. I don't think I've ever waited more than five minutes for a sandwich. Plus the benefits of rounding up your order to support our local firefighters?! Yes please! I was also excited to find out they sell their pickle containers and the money from that goes to the firefighters as well. What an amazing concept. read more

Uh not a huge fan. I mean I've visited the Herndon location prior to stepping foot in here. I ordered the same sub both times but for some reason the Herndon location seem to have a better sandwich. Not sure how it could taste different but it did I even asked my friend whom was with me both visits to see if the sub tasted different than it did when we first went to Herndon's and she agreed. I probably will not be going back to the Sterling location just because of my disappointment but can't I will not be visiting the Herndon location when I'm in the area. read more

I am sitting in the restaurant by myself waiting for my sandwich to be made. Bread has sat on the toaster for 5 minutes while 4 workers our on their head phones or cell phones. Firehouse makes great sandwiches but no wonder this place is empty. Overall took way too long for 1 basic sandwich. read more

I'd say an above average sub spot. Definitely recommend eating there since subs tend to get very soggy when carrying out. Bread is good. Meat very flavorfull. Better option than subway since sandwiches are fuller. read more

My rating is not about the food. We love Firehouse Subs. It may seem like a little issue but it has pissed me off for the last time. Last night 01/07/2018 we order subs again, total $58.76 and for the 4th time we asked for pickles and get home and no pickles. Last night we even told the person about the last 3 times and asking for pickles and they said you have them this time. Of course get home and no pickles. It is to the point the employees are not paying attention to the customer. We order 5 subs every time we go there and I can go to Ramon's or a deli but we choose to go to Firehouse. Food here is absolutely amazing. Hook and Ladder with the Firehouse Hot Sauce is my favorite item on the menu by far. This has been my lunch time staple for the better half of 2 months. I always love going to Firehouse Subs!! Everything looks delicious, but I tend to get the Turkey Bacon Ranch...it's just so good! The employees are very nice and the ingredients are quality. If you're trying to decide which sub franchise you should go to for lunch, choose Firehouse. If only there was one closer to where I live. read more

I hosted a group event at local HS 2 miles from store. I called at noon and place my cater order for 2 platters to be delivered at 6PM. I had 80 kids to feed and this was 40% of my food. No problem they said, we will be there by 6 with your food. I called at 605 and the guy had no idea what i was talking about. He then found my order and said no one gave it to him. He asked me if i still wanted the food... of course i do, i have 80 kids waiting to eat. They started the platters and delivered at 7:10. By that time 90% of the kids had gone. Many with no food. They did comp me the platters ($90). All that means is the volunteers took home a bunch of subs. Pay the extra money and get jersey mikes. read more

Just had my first Firehouse Sub. Sad to say underwhelmed. They warm up the meat and cheese and barely toast the bread which I'm sure you can imagine leaves the sandwich wet then add mayo and tomato it's just too wet. Yuck. I'd rather eat at jimmy highs or wawa any day. read more

Great customer service and great food!! I ordered a steak and cheese and a salad last week for pickup. I drove all the way there only to realize I left my debit card at home. I ran in the restaurant to let them know I would be back in about an hour to pick up my food once I had my card. The owner stopped me and told me to take the food home while it was hot. He said he was there until 9pm for me to bring the payment. Needless to say as soon as I got home I called over and paid the bill. I was so grateful for the customer service and how he went above and beyond for me. I would always recommend this location to my family and friends. I haven't been to this firehouse subs in over a year. Subs are still mouthwatering, food was quick, staff was ok as far as getting my order correct and they were courteous. Reason I can't give it 5 stars I was shocked on how dirty the place was. On June 25th 2016 around 430pm which was a Saturday they're was trash literally everywhere l. Dirty napkins all over the floor, dirty tables, even the counter by the soda machines was disgusting and sticky all over. I'm not even over exaggerating it was disgusting. I wrote the date and time in hopes their manager would see this and look at the cameras. I used to come to this firehouse all the time I don't know what happened. To make it worse they weren't busy there was just me and one other customer. The 2 guys behind the counter were doing nothing and talking about playing video games. I'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs, but haven't had one in a while. Ordered my favorite tonight - to go, a Hook and Ladder, fully involved. What I got was a sub with more lettuce than meat and two pancaked tomatoes. Aren't pickles a big thing too??? No pickle in the bag. I sure hope this is limited to the location and not a corporate wide slashing of what made them different and good. read more

Firehouse has been my favorite sub shop by far ever since they opened. This week we went there at least 3 times. I have noticed that my sandwich has had less and less meat in it over time. I was hoping it was not real, but i order the same sandwich every time. I have seen lots of restaurants, over the years, that have gone out of business because they gave their customers less. Awesome customer service by Nick. He greater every customer, me included as they came in the door. He encourage the other staff to help when more customers came in. Very polite. He accidentally put mustard on my sandwich and immediately told me so and offered to make a whole new sandwich. I declined and he gave me a coupon for my next visit. So many places I have visited in the area have poor customer service so when I get excellent service I make a point to review. Nick thank you for the awesome sandwich and perfect customer service! Wow! We have never eaten at a Firehouse sub shop and were blown away. Stopped in at lunchtime today (Christmas Eve) knowing they had just opened the week prior. The place was spotless and doing a brisk amount of business. Well staffed and very friendly cashiers. My teen ordered the meatball sub and after trying numerous ones at other mom/pop joints as well as "chain" sub shops, he declared this sub the absolute BEST. I had the brisket beef and cheddar and was blown away. It was absolutely fantastic. The sauce perfectly complemented the meat and the buns were nice and soft to bite into. They have a Coke Freestyle machine too (another plus!) They offer a pickle on the side with your subs (and you can simply decline when they ask at the cashier if you don't want it.) Additionally they offer a nice variety of hotsauces in various bottles for you to add heat to your subs OR put some hot sauce in a little "sauce to go" cup. A huge plus for our family members that like that extra "heat". We really liked this place and the location is decent sitting next to a GameStop and Dunkin Donuts in the front mini-strip of stores seated a few hundred yards in front of the main shopping center with Shoppers Food etc.so it's easy to come in from Route 7. read more
