Mine needed more sauce it seemed. But they do have their Datil Pepper sauce both for sale and sandwich serving size for free. They gave me about a dozen before I declined more. Typically the food and service are pretty good but not today!!!! I ordered curbside and this is what they promote on their site. "If you ordered curbside pickup, please park in a designated curbside spot when you arrive and call the number on the sign. If you are hearing impaired: tap your horn twice to signal the staff." There's no designated pickup and no number to call. I had to look up the number to call only to find out the said I had to come inside. Huh? Then they didn't have my order which I was already 10 minutes late. Then they said they found it and you could hear an intense DISCUSSION about my order over the phone. Huh? They told me to give them a few minutes to prepare it. Hmmm but you just told me you didn't have my pre-paid order. Huh? I've been here recently more than I care to admit because it is close to the hospital. On the last four orders for takeout, they have all been wrong. I order two sandwiches each time. I've ordered online and over the phone but they still didn't get it right. Hubby likes his N.Y. Steamer - fully involved. I vary my order but not being a veggie person, don't get the fully involved. I don't like mustard and hubby does. When our sandwiches get mixed up and we aren't there to do something about it, we both get upset. Today, his "fully involved" included tons of black olives which we did not ask for nor can either of us stand! Fully involved is: Loaded complete with mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side. I don't think we'll order from here again. read more

Mmmmmm - something about a Firehouse Sub that is simply heads above other sub shops! This particular location provides really outstanding service and our meal was delicious. My date ordered the Hook and Ladder which is his go to choice because it is ALWAYS good. He said "there is just something about the flavor combination - I'm not sure if it's the bread or the mustard or the ham but together they get it right." I ordered the new Nashville Brisket as a salad and it did not disappoint! It was spicy and there was plenty of meat making it a filling choice for my Keto dinner. They are normally served in a special corn roll which looked delicious but I stayed on track and let them keep the roll. It does have a nice bite so be aware if you are sensitive to too much heat. The team here was helpful with our order and very friendly. They came to check on us halfway through the meal which was appreciated. I was told I had to have a mask, I did not have one then I was told to wait outside since I had a pickup order and it would be brought to me, 20 minutes later I go to check and my food has been sitting on the counter for I don't know how long... and I was then told I needed to sign. I don't like to give negative reviews. I had worked past normal lunch time so wanted to call ahead for my order. The young lady asked if I would hold & I said yes. I figured I would drive in their direction from my work and the food would be ready for pickup when I arrived. It's crazy that they don't consider the loss/lack of repeat business they cultivate by leaving customers hungry. Definitely my favorite hot sub place. I been eating firehouse since 2001 and still consider this my favorite. They use a good amount of meat and steam the provolone cheese in the steamer to the meat....genius. Their personal hot sauce is very tasty but also have options of another 20+ hot sauces. Our first time going to Firehouse Subs and boy what an amazing experience and delicious food. When we first walked in the place was nice and clean, it was cool and refreshing, from being in the heat, and the service was excellent. In the beginning, our original place to eat at was MoMo's Pizza right behind Firehouse Subs. First thing we noticed was the smell, how it looked so run-down and was nobody there so we could order our food. We were glad to eat at Firehouse Subs instead, we tried the Hook and Ladder subs which Brandon really was a huge help with that. He explained to us we can get the best deal of the sub if we order 4 small for the price of $3.99. We also wanted some cups of water with our subs, and Brandon gave us a free cup! Overall, Firehouse Subs is highly recommended, they have delicious food, great and friendly service, nice, refreshing restaurant and you get as much water as you'd like! read more
