Firehouse Subs has become a pretty solid and this particular location is in an older strip on Capital Circle in Tallahassee, Florida. The staff was friendly and professional and all in all, only enhanced my experience at this particular Firehouse location. My sub was overall what I would expect from a Firehouse location. Subway does make a decent sandwich. If you are traveling, this particular Firehouse location is convenient to Interstate 10 and made for an easy on and off the highway to grab a quick lunch. All in all, this was a good overall experience and I would definitely recommend this particular Firehouse location. I will give it four stars overall. read more

Very busy place. The guy preparing my meal was faster than the cashier. Service was very good and upbeat the staff upbeat. I had the Italian and my husband had the pepperoni pizza meatball. Both of ours were exceptionally good. We don't live locally, just passing through and pulled in for lunch to go. read more

Always the best brisket sub. I love the smoke and the sauce. The meatball sub is so-so. The marinara sauce is lacking real Italian flavor, like garlic and oregano. Of course, the servers are friendly and efficient. My order came out fast and correct. They could have used a little table clean up, but it was really busy. read more

This Firehouse Subs location was next to Sonic, across from Walmart, and in a small strip mall. My teammates were hungry from traveling all day that we decided to stop by here to grab a very late lunch (3pm or so). There was nobody here so parking was not an issue and the restaurant itself had plenty of seating. I had only been to one other Firehouse Subs so I decided to try something different. I ordered a #10 Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar and made it a medium combo (came with a drink and a bag of chips or a cookie) for $9.01 total. It took a few minutes before the sub was ready. The sub looked a bit small to me but it did look delicious. I took a bite and it was pretty good. The BBQ sauce and mayo made the beef taste good and the cheddar cheese added more flavor to it. It was dripping down and made a small mess in my basket. I would recommend the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar if you like BBQ sauce and mayo together. I enjoyed learning how to make subs and meeting new employees. However, the pay was too low and the company refuses to add better salary. Managers were very hostile and rude, and majority of the time talked down on employees to other employees. After witnessing a racist comment made by another employee that was also witnessed by and wasn't corrected by the manager, it made me question if I should still work for this company. I've also had numerous conversations with this same manager that was willing to give me a supervisor position, after months of talking to me he gave the position to that same employee without telling me they were moving on with the position. I was also experiencing exclusion of hours and discrimination as well as other associates having the same experience. Managers were awful and mostly took their anger out on employees. read more

Like any Firehouse Sub, this location thrives with the lunch crowd. The service is not as fast as McDonalds or Subway, but I think the food is a tad better. Located in a strip mall off Capitol Circle, across from Walmart, this location is on the fringe end of where most of Tallahassee's college crowd goes. This means it's rarely packed, but usually has just enough seating. I've visited many times and the staff is always quick to serve and the atmosphere always pleasant. read more

My most recent visit to Firehouse Subs was highly disappointing. Harmoni whom took our order was great. She was friendly and thorough and even repeated everything back to us. Pick up was a disaster. I asked for A1 sauce and was given a few packets. I asked the gentleman for a few more and he asked a female with colored braids for more. She replied, "...that's all we have up here." The guy returns to me and says, "...um, we don't have anymore." I asked, "...don't have anymore or don't want to go get any from the back?" The guy went back to making sandwiches and didn't respond. When we get home, another county away, all three of our sandwiches were incorrect! I paid $3.50 for extra steak on my steak and cheese...barely any meat at all! The other two sandwiches were made completely wrong, even though everything was listed correctly on the receipt. I paid $38.00 for three poorly made/incorrect sandwiches. Slowest Firehouse I've ever been to, although it was pretty busy for an "off time". We came at about 3:40 pm and waited over 40 mins for sandwiches! Restaurant was full of waiting irritated people. The girl running the register seemed highly annoyed to be so busy. All the guys making sandwiches seemed as they were busting their butts, just no sandwiches coming out. Also, the drink machine where you're supposed to have hundreds of options had less than 10 options, all of which were diet/Zero products! And 40 mins later after talking to the staff about my sandwiches, the order still wasn't right. Floors were a wreck and bathroom needed some attention. Seemed they had plenty of staff, just not sure what they were all doing to take so long. Maybe a manager watching over their ridiculousness would be helpful.... read more

Pretty solid place for a sub. I've never ordered anything other than a steak and cheese, but why ruin a good thing? Well-cooked meat with gooey cheese that gets all stringy when you bite into it pulling away and looking like a dork is my fave. Haha. The addition of mushrooms make me a happy gal. All locations have the wonderful Coca-Cola Freestyle machines! I still think they're the coolest things ever. Firehouse is also the first place I ever tried kettle cooked jalapeño cheddar chips from Lays. Holy moly, they're good. Service is always great here. A smile on an employee's face always adds to the experience, but when they have a good attitude.. Now that's the icing on the cake. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. Super easy access from I-10. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good, typical firehouse. But I was super impressed with the mask requirement for customers (except while eating of course). Staff was all properly masked and gloved. read more

Very Poor Service. When I walked in no one greeted me. When I asked the young lady can I sit outside she looked at me as if I was from another planet. She told me she had to remove the chains from the lawn furniture. When I asked her she rolled her eyes as if I said something wrong. Attitude determines your altitude. My wife & I were on vacation, and we stopped in on the way to Savannah, GA. The subs were outstanding, and the service was, too. I didn't realize it, but I lost my cell phone there. They went to the trouble to locate me, and I received it in the mail yesterday. They went way above and beyond to take care of the customer. If I could give them 6 stars for service, I would, If I'm ever in Tallahassee again, I'll be going there to eat. read more
