Kelvin was the only person on shift tonight. He took my order with enthusiasm at the drive through intercom. The second I was done placing my order, I pulled up to the window and he was already handing me my drink and wrapped sandwich. I mean I was shook. It was so fast I was seriously impressed he did that all while multitasking taking another drive through order, talking to me, and servicing a dine-in customer. The sandwich was even better thing. Usually this place is okay. Tonight not only did I receive my order wrong but the lettuce was completely 100% soggy which makes these subs almost slimy and the lettuce pulls apart and rest on your lips after each bite which is absolutely revolting. Another complaint I have with this chain as a whole is that if you do not finish your sandwhich during your sitting it will no longer be good after 15 min. Ordered two of the exact same sandwich from the drive thru, asked for only bread, meat & cheese. Total was $40. Woman repeatedly asked us to list the items we did not want on the sandwich. We repeatedly said we wanted nothing but the meat & cheese, specifically no sauce or condiments. Get home (a 40 minute drive) to find both have lettuce & mayo, items with which we have digestive issues. It was specifically the mayo we did not want. It was so drenched it couldn't be wiped off. The sandwiches were inedible for us. I called the store & spoke with Manager Jessica Rittman. As I began to explain my situation, she interrupted me to begin arguing that we had not requested such and our receipt would somehow prove it (?) I tried again to explain and she again interrupted to basically tell me it was my responsibility to ensure my order was correct. I tried a third time to remind her what we had requested, she again interrupted and started yelling, at which point I hung up on her. What was interesting was how she seemed to immediately know which order I was talking about before I ever actually explained it, making me think she knew darn well they'd messed up. I called a different store and was able to sort the situation with a different manager who is over the area. I'm satisfied with the resolution of receiving replacement sandwiches and our money back but good Lord, no one should have to go through this to get a frickin' sandwich. The incident just recently occurred and we have not had a chance to order again, thus, I can't give a higher rating at this time. I usually order jimmy johns delivered for lunch from the Pensacola st. location which never has given me an issue. But I have had to use this store lately due to my usual one being closed. There's never a problem with food itself here, but 4 out of 5 times the delivery times are horrendous. I order meals sometimes around 2:00pm (not a busy time) and they take an hour or longer to get to me. I'm only 1.5 miles from the store. I've had an order notify me it went out for delivery, only to show up 45 mins later, with a soggy sandwich. Hour for a delivery is acceptable from most restaurants, but jimmy johns? As soon as you say the name of what you are ordering they make it, so there is literally no time to specify if you don't want a certain ingredient or if you want extra of it. Furthermore, they make all the sandwiches without gloves, and without washing their hands between sandwiches. I rather wait the 30 seconds it takes you to wear gloves. As we were there an employee grabbed her keys, went outside to her car, came back, played with her keys and without washing her hands made a sandwich for a customer that came in. This was my first time ever going to Jimmy johns and I was super excited to eat here because all my friends were telling me it's so good. I rush right after work to make it before close. I get there at 9:30 and look at the menu. I asked them if they could give me a second because I was unfamiliar with the menu. I felt very rushed and judged. I kept asking questions because I honestly did not understand the menu. I had two different people taking at the same time at the drive through. They told me they were out of the French bread and said they only had the "little John" and the wheat. I didnt know what the "little John" was so I asked what it was and they we're very sassy and made me feel stupid for not knowing what it is. Then I asked if I was able to make my own sandwich because I saw on the menu there was a make your own option. And the lady straight up said NO. And nothing after! I was like uh what do you mean. Had the #14 & my fiancee had the #11. Both excellent. We split a Slim 3 and not sure that was on their softest/freshest bread (that makes a huge difference on the slims IMO) although it was still very good. Store was very clean, staff was friendly, and I was very impressed to see the delivery drivers briskly jog to their cars (it was amusing us as we dined in). I like this place a lot better than Firehouse Subs (so sue me). The bread is AMAZING, although they have multigrain bread for those who are so inclined. My favorites are the Club Lulu (turkey with bacon) or the Big John (roast beef). You get your sub in a minute and it's fantastic. I just received the WOST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER! from Jimmy John's in Tallahassee Florida. I was told by a friend to try their subs, so today I decided to try them out for the first time. I ordered my food and was 3 cents short, so rather than working with me they decided to give me my money back!! I am a small business owner, and have had a times when a customer were a few pennies short, or a dime short when making a purchase at my store, and I will never embarrass them and give them their money back. I give them a break and throw in the pennies myself on their behalf, and they always appreciate my goodwill and come back spending more and referring others to my store. Jimmy John's, shame on you. You lost a potential customer, as I love to eat, and I will warn others who come to my store that your customer service sucks! read more

It has been a while since I first tried Jimmy Johns, but other reviews confirm little has changed. It is just another basic sandwich shop similar to Subway, Larry's etc. I do recall the sub rolls were better than other shops but the meat was not remarkable and prices were similar. Would not refuse to go with others, but would not suggest it over similar shops. read more
