They have so many good subs to chose from here! Hard to go with the same one like I normally do at the other sub shops! I've gotten most of the subs on the menu now, and they will add different meats to any sub if asked. While yes, I am a Pepsi drinker- they have the Freestyle Coke machine at all Firehouse subs, and surprised it hasn't been said so far, yes it was started by a Fireman! So, I would highly recommend going right pass Subway, and go straight here whenever there is a Firehouse Subs in town! They put a lot more meat on their subs then Subway does! read more

I was to hungry to take a picture to share and after one bite I knew I wouldn't be setting this sandwich down. I had the Italian on white bread, right away I could tell I was in for something good. The sub was picture perfect, all the toppings were portioned perfect and I really enjoyed how thinly sliced the ham was. All the staff was super friendly and seemed happy to be there, clean spacious dinning. Everything was perfect and I look forward to coming back! i was visiting oregon and wanted a sandwich. There was only on person in line and i believe his name was eren was the only person working while the other ppl were to busy doing their side work. Many tickets on the line he also asked for help and they didn't come to help him. I work at one in california and this was just such bad employees i felt so bad for him. i didn't get to mad at the fact that they forgot my meat in my sandwich because he was the only one working so i went back in and got it fixed no biggie. My manager gets very upset when we put our side work first instead of customers i just think this needs better management. read more

I decided to try this place out on a lunchtime whim, and while the overall experience was disappointing, the food was pretty good. Nobody behind the sandwich counter knew if they could take ApplePay (they do), and the line is setup backwards from how we've been trained to expect by the thousands of other sub/burrito/pizza places that cram the lunchtime market and price point. If you decide to try this place out, go to the cash register at the far end of the restaurant to order, and save yourself the trouble of interrupting the bantering sandwich-making staff with your sandwich order. When my sandwich came to my table, it was clearly a knife and fork affair, so I asked for a knife and fork. The food service professional, whose job it was to get orders from the counter and take them to customer's and wait for another order to hit the counter, looked at me and gestured to the other end of the restaurant and told me that I could get them over there. I just looked at him, and he slowly added, "...and I'll go get some for you." The meatball sub on whole wheat bread was decent, and the Miss Vickie's chips were up to normal standards. Great place for subs! The process from ordering to getting your food is quick, but doesn't sacrifice the quality and flavor of the Subs. If you get chips or cookie with your sub, they are self served. Sometimes the cashier will tell you and other times they will not. Very slow to get an order. Recently ordered online while in salem thinking we would get a quick pickup as we drove through Tualatin. Ended up waiting another 25 minutes to get our food. That's over an hour total. Tonight we ordered 2 large steamers and all the ad-on toppings were left off. Food is great but consistency is horrible. We will not choose firehouse unless time and accuracy improve and we are in the area and not in a hurry. Customer service link on the app gives an error code. Just waited over an hour for my subs. Called it in and they said 25minutes. No problem. I came in 20 minutes. Wasn't ready, no problem. They told me they would call it out once it was ready. I stood there in the lobby for over 30 minutes waiting PATIENTLY for the food because I'm honestly not one to bug or demand quick service. Finally I asked them for my food and they said oh yours has been ready for almost 30 minutes. I spent $49 on 4 subs that I received ****ing cold and the dressing completely soaked into the bread. My preamble first: In my heart, Quizno's will always be my favorite chain sub shop. Unfortunately for me, Quizno's are few and far between anymore. When Jersey Mike's came into Tualatin, I was pretty happy after trying it and remained loyal to them, so I was a little apprehensive about trying out a new place. Luckily for me, I found another good sub shop and with it, a different menu that doesn't really have too much cross over with Jersey Mikes. With all that said, I was pretty happy with Firehouse. Local owners which is always a bonus, solid customer service and I haven't had to deal with any crazy lines. I suspect that they use a lot of the same meats that Quizno's used which is a big bonus in my book. Prices are pretty reasonable, and the sandwiches come out quick. I'd recommend the Smokehouse Brisket or the New York Steamer. I've also had the Steak and Cheese, which wasn't as good as the other two. read more

This place is great! I believe this is a newer chain to the area and it really doesn't compare to Subway or other local joints! The size was a little smaller than I was hoping however the the bread fresh, the meat super tender and the sauces were outstanding! Firehouse Subs is ok. Stay away from the salads in my opinion. I wish they were made with real greens with some actual nutrients, but it's your typical fast food iceberg lettuce salad. Really wanted the salads to be good here, but I tried two different ones and I was not impressed. It seems though the best and most delicious items on the menu, are the most unhealthy. This makes sense I guess; I just had higher expectations of their 'healthy' options. This is a place for a hangover &/or laziness. Their meatball sub was pretty good, and so was their Italian sub, but their bread is nothing special, and I was left with the feeling of "it will do" multiple times after leaving. Bonus points however for having a drive through, although it can take awhile if there is more than one car. I say go for a hot sub and don't be on a diet, but that is my humble opinion. I always love a Firehouse Subs and this location is no exception. The staff enthusiastically greets you when you arrive, are quick to serve you, and are friendly. I always get the barbecue brisket as a treat when my wife is busy somewhere else or on my way to the airport from Newberg. I also like places with Coke Freestyle machines (try raspberry coke). Came in today to try for my first time. I ordered the Italian sub large, which was equivalent to lunch and a leftover dinner for later). The Mr. Ordered the club. The ladies were very nice and very attentive. Not much small talk. Waited about 10 minutes and we were out the door. Our tab came to over $20 with just two of us and him not getting a meal. I thought it was a little pricey. My sandwich did come with quite a bit of meat so I guess I can't complain. Will definitely return. Word of advice, the drive thru is for wendys, not firehouse. I was travelling from Salem to Eastern Washington returning from a business trip. I decided to take the Sherwood exit looking for a quick meal, and came across this gem. I had never heard of Firehouse Subs, but was glad I stopped. I had the "Firehouse Hero" with roast beef, smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, and melted provolone, and.... some awesome sauces and vegetables! I can honestly say this was the best sub sandwich I have had anywhere, ever - hands down! The meat was authentic, and not overly processed. The bread was also fantastic! The sauces they use are bar-none THE BEST ANYWHERE! The experience was the best! It was all good from the time I entered and was greeted with a "Welcome to Firehouse Subs" from all the staff. The young man that helped me realized I had never been at a Firehouse, before; and went above and beyond to educate me and answer questions. That kind of customer service is rare these days. The icing on the cake came when my order was complete. The young lady came around the counter and personally handed me my order as if it were precious cargo. That sure beats the normal thrusting my order across the counter at me. I can't wait to make it that way again. I will be stopping at Firehouse on my way south, and on the trip back home. This was the worst sub I have ever eaten...especially for $10! Hardly any meat and don't waste your money on the so-called sautéed mushrooms. My husband and I have been going here since it opened. We are loyal customers and use their app to get points for free sandwiches. Unfortunately, we were shocked last night when we went to have dinner and saw a drastic price increase. So shocked that we couldn't stop talking about it the entire time we ate. We always thought their prices were reasonable, and that's why we frequented the place. But to see that a large sandwich alone is $12.49 was crazy! Make it a meal, and the total is $15.48! We could go out to a restaurant and eat for that price, maybe even less. I don't expect to pay that at a casual sub shop. The employee told us it was because of the minimum wage increase. Seriously? The increase was $0.75 an hour. So they raised ALL of their sandwich prices to compensate for that small increase. We have always enjoyed this place and even refer people to it. However, we will not be going back again, not even to use our points in the app. Just can't justify the price for a sub! I'm assuming the price increase is accounting for customer loss, which is exactly what happened with us. read more

This shop is relatively new and I'd not been a customer before, but I concluded purchases at nearby Cabela's and stepped in for lunch. My timing was favorable; there were two other customers whose orders had already been processed and they were at the register. Two employees were engaged in conversation regarding developments in the personal life of the younger of the two, and I waited to be acknowledged or greeted. Moments ticked by...no eye contact, no smile, no apology for the delay. At some point, this becomes a game. I made eye contact with one employee, who was unwilling to interrupt her coworker's conversation about moving to new quarters. After five (5) minutes without acknowledgement, which is my limit, I stepped out and crossed the road to Jersey Mike's. I can''t give you a review of the food but my impression of this Firehouse Subs is the employees are poorly supervised and/or trained. This is a competitive business; there's a Subway not far away, a Jersey Mike's and Jack-in-the-Box even closer. There is little latitude for a poor work ethic. The employees in question were young; this may be their first job. Unfortunately, there's a business owner whose efforts are poorly represented, whose investment is poorly supported. I don't reward poor professionalism or lackluster service with support. For other reviewers who've met with better service, I'm sure their continued patronage as customers will more than compensate for my reluctance to return. read more
