Upon coming in, I was kindly greeted by one of the older worker. The he and another a young lady that was working there continue to have a conversation talk about random things for seven or eight minutes before taking my order other than that everything was just fine Food came out great. The staff is very unprofessional though.

The new BBQ Cuban was as advertised, absolutely delish. Service is quick and accurate. Good place with a few spots to sit and eat, but definitely more of a takeout. Great place for a delish sub.

Service is nice. They are pretty fast and my sub is great. Fresh bread and nicely filled. I am bringing it down a star just because the tables are not always clean. Doesn't stop me from dinning in. The tables are long so I just slide down to a clean spot on the table. This is close enough to my work and sometimes you just have to have a yummy sub for lunch. If they get super happy service or start being clean all the time I will pop my stars up to a 5.

The worst WORST / Staff ...management EVERYTHING but the food. Whoever Richard is....the whole place knows that your blonde employee is "stressed and pissed off". I also know what time she needs to get to the bus stop. She "hates training" as she yells at high school students ...who honestly should get another minimum wage job somewhere else because they don't deserve this verbal abuse from this middle aged woman. Just like all the reviews before...foods great and service is terrible. I order a sandwich with 4 people working behind the counter (two working and one old woman yelling at a 16 year old "training" him) This woman didn't do a thing to help. 35 minutes and I'm still waiting for my single sandwich and I'm still hearing her complain about her job. Someone put her out of her career place misery. I hope the new trainee takes my advice and works ANYWHERE else. You should give your money to anyone else.

Excellent tasty subs with an overwhelming amount of sauces and types of sodas to choose from. Ridiculous.

It's a little curmudgeonly of me, but I didn't want this place to be as good as it actually is. I…read moredo work around this area and had been curious about Yorkie's for a while; about a month ago I had the opportunity to stop in. It's kind of like Taste in that it's like a Hip And Trendy Sandwich Spot - the staff is mostly perky, cool, and very competent college students - and the prices are about on par with Taste as well, but for what you get here, it's probably double the value of what you can get there. I got their tuna melt, which stuck with me for long enough that it had me craving another sandwich like that when I was in the area again. So today I was in the area again and I brought a friend, who also got the tuna melt and loved it. The thing about that sandwich is that they probably put about a half pound of bluefin tuna salad on it, and it's not mayo or filler-heavy. It's very tuna-forward, which is a plus to me. This time I got the Kevin's Bday, which was turkey, bacon, cheese, LT with this amazing garlicky green onion aioli, because honestly I was like, "Well, the tuna melt was really good. But what about just a Normal Ass Sandwich??" Both those sandwiches come on thick toasted (I think potato?) sandwich bread and my god it was all SO delicious. Again, the portion was enough for two meals, and it was just a turkey sandwich! The turkey was super succulent too. One small detail i really appreciated was that I believe they cut their tomatoes on the slicer as well; they're incredibly thin, and they add a lot to the sandwich without overpowering it. Also their tots are unreal. Sorry for rambling. I'm very passionate about sandwiches apparently. All I'm saying is that if you're at the oceanfront and you're trying to pick a sandwich place, it should be this one.

I saw Yorkie's advertise their Wednesday "Girl Lunch" special and immediately knew I had to try it…read morebecause it combines some of my favorite things: tots, Caesar salad, and a fried chicken cutlet. It was definitely busy during the lunch rush, but worth the wait. The dish was so good! The lemon zest really brightened everything up and kept it from feeling too heavy despite the Caesar dressing, tots, and fried chicken. It added a depth of flavor I wasn't expecting and absolutely loved. At $18 (+ an additional $2 for a can of diet coke), it's a little pricey IMHO, but I'd order it again without hesitation because it's that good. Yorkie's is such a cute spot, the staff was friendly, and while parking can be a bit sparse around lunchtime, it's worth it. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!

George & Sam's Deli and Diner is located in the Loehmann's Plaza Shopping Center in Virginia Beach…read more They are in the location where the Route 58 Deli used to be located. My visit here was on May 24, 2026. With the business being inside of a larger shopping center, parking was not an issue. It isn't hard to see the business from the shopping center with the banner above the entrance. You can tell that they are still working to get everything together on the outside view as of the date of this visit. There are a few boards just outside the entrance showing the hours and curbside pick up info. My mom and I arrived here just before 9 am. Once you come inside, you'll see an area for seating to wait, as well as for take out ordering and looking at baked goods. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and went to one of the booths available. It wasn't too busy at the time we came in. After getting seated, it didn't take long for Caity, who would be our server on this visit, came over to greet herself and ask what we wanted to drink. I just had water with lemon, and my mom got a Coke as they have Coke products here. After she came back with the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't quite ready yet since there was quite a bit to choose from being the first visit here. After a few minutes, we were finally ready to order. My mom decided to order the Ultimate Breakfast Platter with Bacon as the meat choice and sourdough bread lightly toasted. I decided to go with the Deli French Toast and added two eggs scrambled and crispy bacon to it. After about ten minutes or so, the food came out to the table and it all looked good. It was also hot, which is a good thing. I started off with the eggs first, as I know they can get cold if sitting too long. Then I went on to have the bacon and finally the French Toast. The French Toast was fluffy and easy to cut and eat too. The flavor was good too. My mom said that the Ultimate Breakfast was good too, and since it was a large amount, I tried some of the pancake too. That was also very good and was fluffy and easy to eat. Our server came over a few times to check and ask if there were any issues or if we needed anything else, but we were all good on this one. Overall, this was a very good first visit here. They do have dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, so I do want to try that for another time. I will likely come back to try other items during the breakfast or lunch time frame too. The food and service on this visit were great. If you're in the Loehmann's Plaza area and looking for a place to eat, this place is totally worth checking out.
