In the ten years my family has lived here we have never walked out with the correct order. Every single time our sandwiches are made wrong, things we paid extra for aren't added, and items are missing. Workers are generally pretty rude and unhelpful. One employee brings her child with her to work and will start yelling at him in the middle of taking orders while he runs around the store. Apparently you're not allowed to order if it's too close to closing time. We walked in, granted a little last minute but our flight just got in and we were headed to the campground. First time trying out firehouse subs. Came in at 1150am . Been in line for over 30 mins and still waiting. Each sandwich order seems to tAke at least 24 minutes to make. At least that's how long i clocked after she took my order. this food better be worth it. Got my order at 1238pm. They need to move a little faster. They move at a glacial pace. Best sandwich shop in the high desert. We eat here a couple times a month. Order on the app and it's alway ready on time waiting for us when we get there. Only had an issue a few times when I order extra meat which is $4 for a medium sandwich and it didn't seem to have extra. $4 should have a substantial amount added in my opinion but that's the only issue I've had. The service was horrendous waited over and 1 for 3 sandwiches which I never got asked of they were ready and they told me they didn't have my order. Told they didn't see anything. I showed them my receipt and and I tried to show it to the and he ignored me turned to his coworker and told her to deal with me. She instead of giving me an option to have my sandwiches made she just told she would give me a refund. I really like the food here, however their customer service at this location sucks. I placed a online order as I typically do, went to pick it up and realized I was missing a bag. I go back, pick it up and no one says anything. Get home only to realize my order is incomplete. They missed putting the chips in bag! I go back and as soon as I walk in... someone says "chips"? Why place a online order if you're going to require your customers pick out their food? I thought I did that when I placed the order online. I did manage to get the managers name, Andrea which pretty much shrugged me off. I wouldn't be so upset if they would have apologized, but it's not the first time I've driven all the way home to realize what i ordered isn't in the bag and having to go back. Only eaten here a few times, and I typically get the same thing (New York Steamer), which is very good!! But we've found that you should ask whomever is making the sandwich, to try and get all the moisture out from the veggies because the bottom of the bread tends to get soggy. I'm not a huge sandwich fan - I generally think of them as boring. But Firehouse Subs are anything but boring. Over the course of two days, I tried the Engineer (smoked turkey breast with lots of delicious add-ons), Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket, and the Pastrami. The meat in each of these subs was generous, juicy, and high-quality. I didn't come across a single fatty gristly piece of meat, which is so unusual in my personal experience that I had to give them 5 stars. I don't think I'll be able to eat at Togo's or Subway after experiencing such flavorful subs here. Like another reviewer said, I wish they gave more than 1/4 slice of pickle with each sub because the pickles are pretty darn good. I wonder if they sell sides of pickles. That didn't seem to be an option. I also tried three cookies (apple, lemon, chocolate chip) and the chocolate brownie. They were surprisingly fresh, moist, and delicious. Don't pass them up! I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice this sandwich shop was. I had the italian sub and it was superb. It would have been nice to have had more meat on it (considering the price) but I'm also happy with the flavor profile and softness of bread. I also had their chili and it was super delicious! I've been going here for years. The staff is wonderful and the food is tasty. However, the past two times I've eaten a sandwich here, I've experienced severe diarrhea within an hour after consuming. I don't order condiments on my subs, so I know it's not the Mayo or mustard they use. I was excited to try this place because I am always looking for an alternative to Subway. I am roast beef person, so got double roast beef sandwich, lettuce, mayo, mustard. That is it. It wasn't good. They use Arby's style sort of thinly sliced, shredded, Carl Budding type meat. Blech, won't be back. Plus customer service people are really surly at this location. My advice: go to Subway because it's cheaper, or to Jersey Mike's because it's better. read more
