Picked up my bf and his friends from a bachelor party so... you can imagine the weekend they had. All good fun! But they came back HONGREE. They said want to KBBQ? We said heck yeahhhh, so the decision was made AMBIANCE: Big space, pretty empty as we were one of the last people to eat before they closed! They were very accommodating-- letting us know their kitchen closed at 10:30 PM and the restaurant closed at 11 PM. When we arrived, it was 945, so we weren't looking to play around. We knew what we were gonna get. Onward we went SERVICE: My girl Arieles (PRETTY sure that's what her name was) was our server! She was so sweet and got us our stuff promptly. We knew we were coming in late so we weren't gonna waste time, but she was joyful to serve us regardless and I appreciate that. So many times people are FED UP, and it shows, to be at the end of their shift (and I get it), so it was nice to have someone of good demeanor to host us! FOOD: We ordered brisket, spicy pork belly, spicy chicken, and spicy bulgogi. First time trying the spicy Bulgogi for fear that it was gonna be TOO spicy and it was not at all! Solid experience. This place sits in a strip center with a lot of free parking. Our server was very attentive and helpful as we enjoyed our time in a comfortable environment. There's a ton of options to choose from and you can make every visit a great one. You'll cook your food to your liking and there are delicious dipping sauces to complement what you cook. A spur of the moment decision to stop for dinner as we passed this restaurant which was across the large Wayne Ave. Garage where we had parked. The delicious smells hit directly into our faces as the front door was opened. This looks like a popular neighborhood establishment. We were greeted and seated immediately on a Wed. evening. The setting is a bit dark with neon lights and table booths with their BBQ grills arranged around the restaurant. It did feel a bit tight for my legs due to the way the BBQ grill was set into the table. Service was great. The person attending to us helped explain the menu, how to order and decide on which proteins to be brought out. He would occasionally pop over and help grill our meats when we became too busy talking instead of cooking our meals. We ordered the All You Can Eat Option A and you are given 1 1/2 hr. to eat, don't know how strict they would be with that. Unless you are truly hungry, I would order an à la carte dinner instead of the all you can eat option. I particularly enjoyed the thick cut pork belly, steamed egg and spicy tofu stew. There were a few small portions of Banchan to go with our meal and you would need to order additional side dishes of noodles or rice dishes separately from the all you can eat menu choices. There were tried and true hearty portions of meats to grill and it was quite filling. Honestly, this is my new spot. We frequent Iron Age, but decided to give firepan a try this time. All the protein was really good quality. The steak was amazing. We did try one of the sushi rolls. I would skip on those the rice on. It was very mushy. Other than that, everything was really good. The side dishes were good and the service was exceptional. read more

Our go to is- steamed egg, rice, salad, firepan steak (literally almost like la galbi) my friend said bulgogi was her favorite, pork belly and sliced brisket. So glad they gave refills of the radish! Good refreshing banchan to combat the greasiness of the meat. The staff kept coming over to our table even though we chose to grill ourselves, so that wasn't ideal, but at least the staff is attentive and makes sure that their patrons don't burn down the restaurant (?). Good prime steak and brisket that wasn't too fatty. I wish they had more veggie options but this is KBBQ! They have good marinated bulgolgi from their option A too! Finally dined in and loved the quality of meat and serving size! Our waiter was friendly and offered to help with the cooking which I love as it takes the pressure off of the table paying attention and cooking. Really spacious with lots of space for walk ins on the Sunday we went! My only problem is while it was affordable for lunch ( around 35 per person for one of the all you can eat options) I really love Galbi and the combo that included galbi was quite the price jump. But def worth it despite that personal preference ! There's still so many great options - way more than a lot of places to pick from - and rice and sides are included. read more

Great time at FirePan. The service was exceptional. I like that our server provided us with the option to cook on the grill. Not only do you get quality meat, but the quantity served as well is substantial to the point that you do not get hungry trying to flag your waiter down again for a second or third order set. The service was OK, my niece did end up with a plate of raw chicken on her lap, but that was totally an accident. The server just fell. The overall ambience of the restaurant is really small and there's not very many places to sit so it's kind of a longer wait if you wanna sit down and meet it's very nicely decorated and it's clean. I came here on a Friday night a while back, because I never tried Korean Barbecue before and I always like trying new things and new places whenever I can. I came in by myself without a reservation slightly after 7pm and by the time I was seated, it was almost 9pm. So I waited a little over an hour and a half, and it was partly worth it in my opinion. I purchased the Option A of the all you can eat buffet (Option B includes seafood), and it was a reasonable price in my personal opinion. I had 4 servings of meat in total (Firepan Steak, Thick Pork Belly, Spicy Chicken, and Brisket), and the meat did taste very good, but it was too fatty & greasy in my opinion, and it gave me a stomach ache. I also ordered a Korean beer, Terra, and the price was much too high in my opinion for a beer that was not much larger than a standard-sized beer, and it was not very special in my opinion either. It was still a very nice beer, though. I personally felt a bit unhappy about the price. The price of the all you can eat buffet was reasonable, but the price of my one beer was more than 1/3 the price of the all you can eat buffet. On the up-side, the wait staff was very fast and friendly, as well as attentive. The food came with some little complimentary side-dishes as well, including rice. If I come back in the future, I will probably come back just for the all you can eat buffet without getting drinks, and I will make sure to come back during the slower business hours. This place is worth a try, though, if you like Korean Barbecue or want to try something new. The food was delicious overall. read more

This is a good AYCE kbbq spot that can accommodate a large group, but it's not my favorite. The cuts of meat aren't the best and I wish they had more side options compared to other options in the area. That being said, I only tried the brisket, pork belly, and steak. Out of the 3, I enjoyed the steak the most but I had to take my time pulling off some of the fattier bits. Overall a great experience! My girlfriend and I wanted to try a new Korean bbq spot and chose this one based on reviews. They have an all you can eat for $30 per person. The quality of the meats for $30 was better than some places that charge upwards of $40 per person. The only one that wasn't good was the spicy bulgogi. Idk what it is but it had a weird consistency and neither of us liked it. The thin pork belly is actually incredibly good and doesn't taste fatty. The steak options are delicious as well as the chicken options. The service was quick and friendly. There isn't much interaction since it's kbbq and you tend to cook it yourself. But we were seated immediately and food came out quick. The ambiance is very casual but has a sleek/modern feel inside. There is a fair amount of seating. The parking can be sparse on the weekend. In my opinion, this is the better location than the one in Woodbridge; I think the service here is way better from my experience over there. Same fare as usual, walk in, get seated, pick what AYCE option ( or not ) and dig in to what meat selections you choose. It was a bit busy when I went and honestly I didn't mind it at all. The food was what mattered to me because you definitely come here to eat right? I'm a fan of brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, the steamed egg, and the salad itself too. I could be content with just eating that and I'd still be full. It's best to come here with a group but it's still a good time with a friend or a date. Easier to split the bill with too. The side dishes: the side dishes could've been better, the kimchi was not fermented enough (a little too fresh). The fish cake was OK not the greatest, but decent. Their soybean soup was more like a miso soup? Not the greatest and they didn't have steamed egg bc of the egg shortage. The barbecue: OK so the spicy bulgogi was kicking! Had good spice and flavor, just not Korean? It had more of a perhaps sambal spice? Or something else that wasn't expected. But good! The bulgogi had good flavor and was tender! Pork belly was good both soy and spicy! The pork bulgogi was actually prob my favorite, just loved the tenderness and flavor! Very busy location & a tight squeeze. Bathrooms could also use some cleaning. However, service was good for how busy it was. They'll leave you with a pitcher of water on your table so it's convenient. If you get soda, just know that they serve you the can with a straw rather than pour it into a cup. Food was good! There are tiers for pricing, like if you want to add on sushi, it'll be an extra $3-$5, if you want the premium meats, a little bit more. I don't think the sushi add-on is worth it though for the options... it's not your typical sushi that you would get in a Japanese restaurant. However, the premium meat add-on was good in my opinion. We loved the beef belly & ribeye. The sauces they serve are different but there's a variety. I wish their steamed egg soup wasn't sold out when we were there. I felt like we didn't get the full quality of the price we paid because some things weren't on the menu that night. Great place for people to get together, and the all you can eat option is pretty reasonably priced with good meat options, even for option A. Unlike other Korean BBQs I've been to, there's no buffet for sides, just a couple on the table, but our server was great to keep checking on us instead of slowing down on getting more refills. We tried the bulgogi, pork belly, soy chicken thigh, and brisket. They were all great! Just requires a little patience to let it cook, but it's worth it and very filling. Super OK brisket & a little better Firepan steak - good for the price though if you're eating lunch special, which apparently we weren't since we left later. $6 for cheese corn - I asked the waiter if it was worth and he said it was but for $6... eh. The server talk to the manager and allowed me to switch to the all you could eat option where I got the spicy bulgogi and fire pan steak. The meat was a really good! Service was also really nice and fast, they offered to cook the food for you, however, I declined in order to do it myself. For $31 you get a great selection of meats to choose from and you have 90 minutes to grill to your hearts content. I was very happy with this meal and would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
