Marinated beef short rib and beef brisket
    Rebecca H.

We ordered meat à la carte and were a bit disappointed. The beef brisket had no fat or marbling on it so it was pretty dry. I think it was the worst beef brisket I had at a Korean barbecue place so far. If we had got ayce it wouldn't have been a big deal but we didn't. The marinated beef short rib was good though. The way they had some of the sides as part of the grill was interesting. The service was decent and the place had a casual ambiance.

12/2025 5 stars I live out of state but travel to the Annandale area frequently for work, and no matter how many times I come, 9292 Korean BBQ is always my go-to spot--even when it's a little out of the way. It's become a reliable highlight of my trips, the place I look forward to hitting for that perfect Korean BBQ fix. The food is consistently on point: high-quality, fresh meats like the prime beef brisket, marinated pork belly, and bulgogi that grill up beautifully at the table. The all-you-can-eat option is a great value, with a solid variety and generous portions. I love the banchan spread--fresh, flavorful sides that get refilled promptly--and the grill accompaniments like cheesy corn, steamed egg, and mushrooms really elevate the whole experience. Everything tastes authentic and satisfying every single time. The staff is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and quick to help with grilling or refills, making sure the service keeps pace even when it's busy. The vibe is lively and casual, perfect for unwinding after a long day. What else could you ask for in a Korean BBQ spot? If you're in Annandale or passing through, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

We come for the AYCE meats and don't order anything else. I believe it is $34pp and comes with pork belly, short ribs, spicy pork belly, beef bulgogi, if you pay for the higher tier the prime beef brisket was really good. Also comes with the following that is re-filled: - Corn cheese, egg, bean sprouts - kimchi, peanuts in this awesome sauce, macaroni, salad, radishes, etc - ice cream bar! Similar to a melona bar but off brand, melon flavored and delicious. Parking: yikes...if you can carpool. At main meal times the big parking lot they have will be completely full.

9292 has plenty of space available even on a Friday evening for large parties. For roughly $50 after tax and tip you can get there set B all you can eat which has plenty of beef, pork, chicken, and even shrimp. The service is considerate when you are able to get the servers attention, however, due to the large space and sometimes be slow.

Spacious and clean interior, including the bathroom. Food was good. Including their sauce. It wasn't mind-blowing quality meats, but it had decent meat selections. I liked the variety of banchans as well. They give egg soup along the sides of the grill including a bean sprout side dish. You have to ask for rice... I don't know why they don't automatically give it? lol Service was good but not the best. Sometimes they forgot to change our grill and we had to ask because it was burnt, or the egg soup was overcooked at one point too. I think it's just a matter of who you get as your server though. However, I would come back to give it another go! They also gave us complementary Melona popsicles!

I came in for a quick solo lunch so I didn't get the AYCE but nevertheless I left full.

Points for us being able to get a table on a Saturday night; demerits for service and poorly-prepped meats leading to a meal that took way too long. The cuts of meat were huge, and they took forever to cook, which is not normal for a Korean barbecue. They were not sliced until they had cooked for a while. This led to each dish taking forever, and us being there for well over two hours...

The food was great! We did AYCE option A and it was the options we want: beef brisket and pork belly all day. The ban chan selection was great! They will refill the eggs, cheese corn, mushroom and sprouts as soon as they're out. For your ban chan, you'll just request more if you want. No rice is served unless you order it. You really do not need any rice. There are enough sides for you to fill up on. Low carb - whoo hoo! We needed rice for my son. Service was great. It's nestled on the infamous little river turnpike. In a large lone standing building. I just think it feels a little filthy in there. The back row has all the pots and pans in bins that are just an eye sore. All outlets and things under the table are just overly greasy and unappealing looking. The dishes just all felt sticky. I think they need to change the plates out, because the dishes all felt sticky to the touch. There is a sign in the bathroom to not flush toilet paper in the toilet. That makes no sense. The establishment has to represent that price. I've been to plenty of AYCE where the place is cleanly looking. The cleanliness with great food, will make me want to come back again.

Refills were good, food wasn't too bad, service was ok. I feel like the first time we came the meats tasted better. The service was lacking a bit this time around as well.

Slow service. It was so slowed that it was burning the grill.

Very slow service. We ordered all you can eat and had gotten three plates of brisket. The waitress maybe had two other tables serving yet unable to get us the next round of order until 15 minutes later. We ordered another round of korean belly. Finished then 15 minutes passes until she brings the next order. Very disappointing in this restaurant since we have been coming here for years.

Let me save you the trouble: this is your sign to go to 9292. Ask for David. Period... DROP what you're doing and GO HERE NOW!!!! The wait is OVER!!! This place goes ABOVE and BEYOND the second you walk in and make sure you ask for David!! Literally the best of the best. So attentive and kind. You'll feel like you're getting first-class treatment. After a really sour experience at Honey Pig (another Korean spot), my family came here on a whim... and BABY we were blown away!! They gave us special menu items they normally only serve at select times but made an exception just for us. David really advocated for us the whole time, and even the owner came through! She got us seated immediately and was so warm. It felt like we were visiting family, not a restaurant. They even gave us ice cream for free!!!! At the end of service!!!! Food? GOOD. Prices? Lower than most Korean BBQ spots. Gratuity is included but nothing crazy. They refill all the side dishes without hesitation, and yes they cut the meat for you!! Y'all PLEASE give them a shot before anywhere else. You will NOT regret it. And ask for David! They also have a bar section so it's perfect for date night too!

We finally visited 9292 Korean BBQ for a family dinner something we had been planning for a long time. It was the four of us: my husband and I, my sister, and her husband. Since we all love Korean food, we decided to order their mixed platter with beef and chicken. Honestly, it's hard to put into words how fresh and flavorful the food was! The meat was perfectly marinated, tender, and full of taste. And the portion size? Way bigger than we expected. This platter can easily serve six people, but the four of us still ended up over-eating ,that's how good it was! We also ordered two bottles of soju, which paired perfectly with the food and made our evening even more enjoyable. Good food, great company, and endless conversations it turned out to be the perfect family night. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Korean BBQ with generous portions and a great vibe.

The meats and banchans are good. The server was friendly. We came here for lunch. The portion was just enough. The place is clean. It has a parking lot.

This is a honest review. The goal is for the restaurant to improve. Please don't delete it again…read more Food wait time was extremely long ( more than 45 mins) even though the restaurant was practically empty. The food tasted like it wasn't prepared by a real chef, or more like it was made by someone who had never even tasted their own cooking. There's a lot of lunch specials. I picked the beef fried rice. It comes with banchan and miso soup. The beef fried rice was very good. What was especially good was the delicious black bean sauce that came with the rice. I thought the tasty miso soup was excellent, very rich and silky. Banchan was kimchi, Danmuji fruit and slices of white onion. Accompanying the banchan was a dipping sauce that was similar to, but not the same as the black bean sauce. I will definitely be back.

I love the rice they use and the other ingredients are always fresh. They are generous with their portions. The chicken fried rice comes with a side of fresh onions and I some kind of pickled daikon (I think), a little tart, a little sweet and a nice crisp bite. Super yummy!
