9292 has always been a go-to for KBBQ! Everything from the food to the experience has always been consistently great for the times I've been here. Like most KBBQ places, they provide side dishes and I like that they provide a variety like salad, soft tofu, soup, radish, kimchi and even on the burner itself you get steamed egg, mushrooms, corn cheese and marinated bean sprouts. All super good!! I feel like i could just eat the side dishes and leave happy haha. For the meat, I like the beef brisket the most! I also like the fact that they provide both AYCE and à la carte options.

This is an authentic K-BBQ spot -- just not for me. Walking in, the menu made it clear this place leans into a more traditional Korean BBQ experience, which I can respect even if it wasn't quite my speed. Food (2/5): The peanut appetizer and salad were enjoyable highlights. The shrimp, however, was served head-on and lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and both the shrimp and chicken needed heavy saucing to be palatable for me. Although my mom did enjoy the melon ice cream given to her at the end, she also experienced some stomach discomfort after our visit, which is worth noting. We will most likely not come back because of the food. Service (5/5) : Genuinely impressive. Our server had a warm, persuasive energy that kept us engaged even when we were quietly on the fence -- without us ever having to say so. The manager was equally personable and gracious. Vibes (4/5): Authentically cultural and true to the cuisine. If you're into a traditional K-BBQ atmosphere, this delivers. Overall (3/5) : A step up from K-Pot, but it didn't hit the way Firepan K-BBQ or Gyu-Kaku do for me personally. If you're adventurous and appreciate a more traditional spread, this could be your spot -- it just wasn't mine.

Marinated beef short rib and beef brisket

We ordered meat à la carte and were a bit disappointed. The beef brisket had no fat or marbling on it so it was pretty dry. I think it was the worst beef brisket I had at a Korean barbecue place so far. If we had got ayce it wouldn't have been a big deal but we didn't. The marinated beef short rib was good though. The way they had some of the sides as part of the grill was interesting. The service was decent and the place had a casual ambiance.

The galbi you get for the $129.99 combo 2

We were so disappointed in our dinner here. With a new baby it's hard to get out, so we were looking forward to enjoying a nice holiday meal together. We ordered the Combo 2 for $129.99 and expected some good quality meat. Right off the bat, the experience was shockingly poor. The sides (banchan) were not fresh and every single one of the little bowls were dirty and sticky on the outer sides. The residue was on the outside so we just let it go and skipped it. The meat quality was noticeably poor, even my husband who isn't picky could tell. The sliced brisket was thick, chewy and I could only eat a couple pieces. Our server was not good about checking on the meat and let our brisket burn as well as later our pork rib. I've never asked to talk to the manager at a restaurant in my life, but this went too far. The manager replaced the pork rib and brought some additional brisket which was only marginally better. The service was SO DISAPPOINTING compared to every single Korean BBQ restaurant I've been to! Our server didn't turn down the huge flame once the meat was done or stop by to make sure the meat didn't burn. We kept having to guess whether we should flip or turn it down ourselves to stop it from burning. This made it a very poor dinner experience. The last straw was the tiny piece of galbi they served, way too small for the total combo price of $129. When we talked to the manager, instead of bringing over a little more, she just took the old piece (which had been sitting out on our table the whole dinner) and brought an even thinner one. At least she replaced our burnt pork and brisket, but it would have gone a long way to just bring a small amount more of galbi. Even worse, I think it is gross and wrong they took the old piece sitting out on our table for over an hour to serve someone else. Really sad with our experience here.

12/2025 5 stars I live out of state but travel to the Annandale area frequently for work, and no matter how many times I come, 9292 Korean BBQ is always my go-to spot--even when it's a little out of the way. It's become a reliable highlight of my trips, the place I look forward to hitting for that perfect Korean BBQ fix. The food is consistently on point: high-quality, fresh meats like the prime beef brisket, marinated pork belly, and bulgogi that grill up beautifully at the table. The all-you-can-eat option is a great value, with a solid variety and generous portions. I love the banchan spread--fresh, flavorful sides that get refilled promptly--and the grill accompaniments like cheesy corn, steamed egg, and mushrooms really elevate the whole experience. Everything tastes authentic and satisfying every single time. The staff is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and quick to help with grilling or refills, making sure the service keeps pace even when it's busy. The vibe is lively and casual, perfect for unwinding after a long day. What else could you ask for in a Korean BBQ spot? If you're in Annandale or passing through, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

This place is fantastic!!! Great service, delicious food. Very clean with each table having a vent to keep the smoke low.

We come for the AYCE meats and don't order anything else. I believe it is $34pp and comes with pork belly, short ribs, spicy pork belly, beef bulgogi, if you pay for the higher tier the prime beef brisket was really good. Also comes with the following that is re-filled: - Corn cheese, egg, bean sprouts - kimchi, peanuts in this awesome sauce, macaroni, salad, radishes, etc - ice cream bar! Similar to a melona bar but off brand, melon flavored and delicious. Parking: yikes...if you can carpool. At main meal times the big parking lot they have will be completely full.

9292 has plenty of space available even on a Friday evening for large parties. For roughly $50 after tax and tip you can get there set B all you can eat which has plenty of beef, pork, chicken, and even shrimp. The service is considerate when you are able to get the servers attention, however, due to the large space and sometimes be slow.

Spacious and clean interior, including the bathroom. Food was good. Including their sauce. It wasn't mind-blowing quality meats, but it had decent meat selections. I liked the variety of banchans as well. They give egg soup along the sides of the grill including a bean sprout side dish. You have to ask for rice... I don't know why they don't automatically give it? lol Service was good but not the best. Sometimes they forgot to change our grill and we had to ask because it was burnt, or the egg soup was overcooked at one point too. I think it's just a matter of who you get as your server though. However, I would come back to give it another go! They also gave us complementary Melona popsicles!

I came in for a quick solo lunch so I didn't get the AYCE but nevertheless I left full.

Points for us being able to get a table on a Saturday night; demerits for service and poorly-prepped meats leading to a meal that took way too long. The cuts of meat were huge, and they took forever to cook, which is not normal for a Korean barbecue. They were not sliced until they had cooked for a while. This led to each dish taking forever, and us being there for well over two hours...

The food was great! We did AYCE option A and it was the options we want: beef brisket and pork belly all day. The ban chan selection was great! They will refill the eggs, cheese corn, mushroom and sprouts as soon as they're out. For your ban chan, you'll just request more if you want. No rice is served unless you order it. You really do not need any rice. There are enough sides for you to fill up on. Low carb - whoo hoo! We needed rice for my son. Service was great. It's nestled on the infamous little river turnpike. In a large lone standing building. I just think it feels a little filthy in there. The back row has all the pots and pans in bins that are just an eye sore. All outlets and things under the table are just overly greasy and unappealing looking. The dishes just all felt sticky. I think they need to change the plates out, because the dishes all felt sticky to the touch. There is a sign in the bathroom to not flush toilet paper in the toilet. That makes no sense. The establishment has to represent that price. I've been to plenty of AYCE where the place is cleanly looking. The cleanliness with great food, will make me want to come back again.

Refills were good, food wasn't too bad, service was ok. I feel like the first time we came the meats tasted better. The service was lacking a bit this time around as well.

Slow service. It was so slowed that it was burning the grill.

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back.
