What really bumped my rating to a 4 was the impeccable service. I did not expect our server to be so attentive. Never had to ask for another round of meat. This is my favorite Korean barbecue spot. Anytime a friend of mine suggests kbbq, we either go here or their sister hot pot location if we are in the mood. The service is great, they are always fast at delivering the items. They will stop by to help cook the meat if you are not a pro. The menu has lots of options and unless they are super busy, they don't limit the time to two hours. They'll let you hang out a little longer, they may cut off the ordering time, but they won't make you vacate the booth. I've always had great experiences. There is plenty of free parking, but it does get busy. We've had issues finding parking before, but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for someone to leave. We were so disappointed in our dinner here. With a new baby it's hard to get out, so we were looking forward to enjoying a nice holiday meal together. We ordered the Combo 2 for $129.99 and expected some good quality meat. Right off the bat, the experience was shockingly poor. The sides (banchan) were not fresh and every single one of the little bowls were dirty and sticky on the outer sides. The residue was on the outside so we just let it go and skipped it. The meat quality was noticeably poor, even my husband who isn't picky could tell. The sliced brisket was thick, chewy and I could only eat a couple pieces. Our server was not good about checking on the meat and let our brisket burn as well as later our pork rib. I've never asked to talk to the manager at a restaurant in my life, but this went too far. The manager replaced the pork rib and brought some additional brisket which was only marginally better. The service was SO DISAPPOINTING compared to every single Korean BBQ restaurant I've been to! Our server didn't turn down the huge flame once the meat was done or stop by to make sure the meat didn't burn. We kept having to guess whether we should flip or turn it down ourselves to stop it from burning. This made it a very poor dinner experience. The last straw was the tiny piece of galbi they served, way too small for the total combo price of $129. When we talked to the manager, instead of bringing over a little more, she just took the old piece (which had been sitting out on our table the whole dinner) and brought an even thinner one. At least she replaced our burnt pork and brisket, but it would have gone a long way to just bring a small amount more of galbi. Even worse, I think it is gross and wrong they took the old piece sitting out on our table for over an hour to serve someone else. Really sad with our experience here. read more

They will refill the eggs, cheese corn, mushroom and sprouts as soon as they're out. For your ban chan, you'll just request more if you want. No rice is served unless you order it. Not bad! Finally stopped by for Friday lunch and was not busy. We noticed a lot of seniors since there are good senior discounts for lunch which is very cute. Our server was attentive and made sure to refill our ban chan and sides when we were low (even the corn cheese and mushrooms!). We got the Prime Beef Brisket, Hand Rub Seasoned Steak, and Bean Paste Pork Belly. Loved the steak and pork belly. Those were marinated so well. The brisket was just ok. It was a little tougher, and I noticed there wasn't much fat on the meat to make it more tender and juicy. I loved that the ventilation was well done. There were like vacuums that suck up on the smoke right above the grill. The grill was quite smaller than other places for cooking meat since there were compartments around the perimeter for cooking sides like steamed egg, mushrooms, spicy bean sprouts, and corn cheese. I did not like the egg since it got hard on the edges, but I did enjoy the mushrooms even though they were plain. I'm not sure how I feel about the side compartments on the grill since it doesn't really cook the sides the best like other places. The 3 sauces were delicious! Enjoyed most of the ban chan including some sticky nuts, kimchi (one of the best I've had at kbbq), mac salad (a little bland), radish. We finally visited 9292 Korean BBQ for a family dinner something we had been planning for a long time. It was the four of us: my husband and I, my sister, and her husband. Since we all love Korean food, we decided to order their mixed platter with beef and chicken. Honestly, it's hard to put into words how fresh and flavorful the food was! The meat was perfectly marinated, tender, and full of taste. And the portion size? Way bigger than we expected. One standout was the cheesy corn, which sizzles on the side of the grill--super tasty. The rice paired nicely with the meats, and the salad had a flavorful kick that added to the overall meal. The Not-So-Good: Some menu items were unavailable, but we weren't told until after choosing the $39.99 option instead of the $34.99. Not a huge issue, but it would've been nice to know in advance. We tried the onion garlic marinated chicken and the shrimp--neither really impressed. However, the marinated prime beef and beef bulgogi were both excellent--full of flavor and cooked up beautifully. The scissors provided were extremely dull, which made cutting raw meat a struggle. Also, if you're planning a date night or hoping for an intimate dinner, be aware: the music was loud, and the smoke vent hangs right in front of you, making conversation a bit tricky. Parking lot so no issues with finding a spot. We walked in and were sat immediately. The fan above the table was emitting some kind of smoke so that was a little strange. Our table had a small issue with the grill but the server eventually was able to get it lit. Our service overall was good. Really friendly and attentive but ge seemed a bit new. There's more variety than many other places I've been to and they include egg soufflé and corn cheese with no additional cost. The servers here are on top of it, so quick to help replace the grill grates so meat doesn't stick and burn. The quality of the meat is good and the price is really fair. This place does get really busy and be warned, the parking lot can fill up so maybe try and carpool if you're coming with a group. My go to KBBQ place in NoVa! Great all you can eat meats and honestly the unlimited steamed eggs and corn cheese are underrated stars. They have so many side dishes that combo amazing with the meats. Meat quality is great and they will help you grill the meats if you want! Sometimes it is a little hard to flag down a waiter, but they never keep your grill charred for too long. The place is large and it's always blasting kpop so be prepared to jam or be surrounded by kpop music videos on the abundance of tv screens.
