The steak is thinly sliced, which makes it cook far too fast because there is no thickness to it. The selection is not nearly as good as other locations. Even basic items like teas are not included in the price, which is disappointing. It also believe something is being added to the meat to fill you up. I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, it made me feel uncomfortably full after only a small amount of food (4 small wings and 2 thin 1/2 inch slices of meat). That is not a normal or enjoyable AYCE experience. I am not sure where these good reviews are coming from. I have my ideas, and that is that they are giving out rewards for positive reviews. It cannot possibly be because the food is good. I have had similar experiences at the Frederick location as well, so this does not seem like a one-off issue. Overall, it feels like the quality and value are not there. If food has to be altered just to make people feel full and increase profit, then the AYCE model should be reconsidered. You usually get a few of each when you order seafood, meats, vegetables. I usually have to place an order of a few plates of certain items to ensure we get enough. Service is great throughout your meal but sometimes just to get the check to finish your meal takes a little long. I don't love leaving mediocre reviews, but I went with a group of friends (7 total) and unfortunately we didn't love the experience. While we were a relatively large group, the service was not attentive. There were many gaps during dinner where we were just waiting for the server to come by to order more meats, and we ended up having to flag them down multiple times. The extended wait times really disrupted the flow of the meal. Because of the waiting, we tried the fried chicken wings from the hot food bar, which ended up being the highlight of the entire dinner. For a KBBQ and hot pot spot, that was pretty disappointing. The wings were incredibly juicy and crispy, to the point where I would honestly skip the KBBQ altogether and just eat the wings next time (as you can see in the picture we loaded up the plate with wings) . To be honest, it was probably the most lowest end Korean barbecue place I've had in all of Northern Virginia. The fried food on the buffet was not edible. When we went, they didn't have three of the items on the menu that we really wanted. The meats just seems so poor quality and they were just drenched in liquid. I also didn't like for Korean barbecue. They did not have any type of noodles available as a side. The little containers of corn cheese were so small. Upon walking in, the decor is super cute and then it's like most other kbbq/hpot spots. The service with times has been super fast and accommodating. We normally go to the Fairfax location, but decided to try this one because it's bigger (more seats, less wait time) and has an actual parking lot. Inside, it's spacious and clean, kind of dark lighting-wise (akin to other kbbq places in NOVA). The menus are basically the same, but there are a few reasons I'm giving it a lower rating. First, the bowls they gave us to eat from weren't all clean, and it wasn't our server who noticed, but a busboy (much appreciated). That kind of leads into the second thing, which is, while our server was very nice, she wasn't all that attentive. It was a very good value and a good spot for a group ranging in age from 5 to 59. They also offer a flat-rate Hot Pot menu, or for an additional $5/per you can dine from both menus! There is a Mon-Fri lunch rate; but Saturdays and Sundays are the $31.99 Adult rate for K-Bbq. The Bulgogi, Pork Belly, and Garlic Shrimp were my family's favorite. There is a DIY sauce bar. This restaurant doesn't serve banchan -- but there is a small buffet featuring fruit, appetizers (dumplings, fried chicken, edamame, kimchi, etc), and some desserts. On the way out I noticed a cooler with small individual cups of ice cream. It was clean, and the service was attentive and friendly. Definitely would go back. No lines at KPot, space is humungous! + Ordering the same on iPad - no robot serving drinks tho - but with boba & fun cocktails, evens out. + Seafood (chewy) & soup (watery) wasn't as good but the unlimited crawfish (in some yummy sauce) at the bar can't be beat! + Huge MISS is no non-spicy beef broth womp womp. One of our things do once or twice a month is hot pot. We often go to the urban hot pot but since they didn't have any seats for our group, we decided to try this place out. Luckily they also had lunch offers where we got 20% off. This place is great for larger numbers as well. Combination of Korean bbq with hot pot makes this place more appealing than urban hot pot. There is now a two hour limit. I went here with a party of 11 and we had to sit at two different tables which was a okay. Again, the wait staff were really efficient this time. Food was rushed out of the kitchen in carts and there was a huge kitchen staff prepping each side order. Our waiter also checked on us regularly even though we were using the tablet. The food. Still just about the same average quality for a buffet. However, I found items were very fresh. The veggies and so forth were definitely fresh with our blemish. The items seemed less "high end" eg crawfish now and not crab. No more little cakes. No more ice creams. But things had much better labeling. Excellent! This was my first time having hot pot and boy did it deliver. The service was great, with the waitress stopping by frequently to make sure we were doing okay, it was super easy to order via the iPad and various menus, and the ambiance is super fun - they were playing hip hop for a bit and the space was wide and felt like a cool hang out spot. The food was excellent! A huge bang for your buck too with the unlimited dumplings, meats, noodles, broths, and veggies. Come hungry! I thought the veggies and noodles were great, but the standouts were the variety of dumplings. I also had the chicken, which was fine. The variety of food at KPOT is excellent. We got the all you can eat korean bbq & hot pot combo. I liked the korean bbq meats, the rice cakes, quail egg, and shaved ribeye. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy when we went for dinner and the staff didn't check on our table often though. They left the meat too long on the grill and it burned once. Additionally, some things we ordered never arrived and we had to order them again. The floor of the restaurant was also very greasy so be careful when you walk around not to slip. I wish they had a better air flow system. We were seated in the center tables and the air draft kept blowing the hot pot steam into my face. Additionally it was hard to tell when the hot pot was on or off and you had to cycle through a couple settings to get it on again. All that being said, the food was good and our server was very friendly once we struck up some conversation with him. A few days prior, I visited the Fairfax location of this restaurant chain for a friend's birthday; my fiancée who didn't join us during that dinner was craving it, so we decided to go to the Falls Church location for a more "intimate" meal. At this location, they offered crawfish instead of snow crab, and let me tell you--the crawfish was BOMB, I almost got full on just that alone. Our server was fantastic and checked on us frequently, which made the experience much more enjoyable. I wish I had remembered his name to give him credit. We originally planned to do hot pot only, but the addition of KBBQ for just $5 per person was too tempting, so we decided to go for it. We ordered the galbi and a vegetable platter to grill. The galbi was perfectly marinated--sweet and flavorful--and the vegetable platter included pineapples, which is super delicious. The grilled onions, mushrooms, and galbi paired together amazing. For the hot pot, I opted for the Sundubu broth. I don't recall seeing this option at the Fairfax location, but I might've just missed it. The Sundubu broth was seafood-flavored and came with tofu, shrimp, and mussels. Adding the different meats and fish balls made it feel like I was at a small Korean restaurant enjoying a comforting bowl of Sundubu Jjigae. OMG, I didn't think of it then, but, I should've ended the meal by adding a raw egg to the broth. Overall, I think I actually prefer this Falls Church location over the Fairfax one. The parking here is much easier, with plenty of spaces in an open area, which is always a plus in my book. read more

The KPot in Fairfax is significantly better. Our server was missing for the majority of the time so we went without refills. And when he was here to refill anything, he took about 10 minutes. It was also slow, as it was an hour after they just opened. We had asked for broth refills, and it took about 10 minutes. One party member didn't get hers until 25 minutes later. Which isn't the servers fault, but he also wasn't around so we couldn't ask him anything. One member of our party is allergic to wheat, so he got the gluten free broth... they literally brought him out water. At the Fairfax location they have a tomato broth that's gluten free and they are always on top of everything. Many of the items we ordered on the tablet never came out. Even with reordering we never saw them. Again, our server wasn't around so there wasn't anyone to ask. At the end of our meal we asked him about it, he said we could order them again now(which fair) but we were ready to leave. I've tried this location four times, every time has been subpar or just plain bad. If you're looking for a KPot make the trip to the Fairfax location, you won't be disappointed. read more

The steak was a tough cut. Thin spare ribs were tender. Shrimp was shrimp. We both over crowded our broth with noodles but we ordered more, our waiter suggested. The second pot we made was much better. They had at least 5 different broths to choose from, some spicy. The appetizer bar, as I call it, was very well stocked from sauces to fried wingettes. Fried shrimp and French fries as well. I could have used an 8 pc all flats from that bar the next day. They were seasoned well and hot in temperature. Restaurant was clean for the most part. Although we did walk through a part of the restaurant where the floor was clearly mopped with a greasy mop. Let's say if you were an ice skater you'd do well walking around the place. I was really excited to try this place and I left full but underwhelmed. We were talked into getting the hot pot add on because they said they would add a coupon that essentially made it part of the Korean bbq deal. We got no such deal when it came to the bill which was annoying. The meats for the bbq were all sliced too thin that it just shriveled up into beef pieces. They had fried chicken and fried dumplings next to the sauce bar and honestly those were the tastiest items at the restaurant. The seats are also annoying because you can feel everything the table behind you is doing since they are connected. Overall this place is just ok but they do have a lot of options. Ok. So I've been here a few times before and this time was disappointing. The food quality and choices have changed. The portion sizes per order have shrunken. Now when you order meat, you get I'd say half of the portion that you did before. This is fine just know that when you order bbq one order is more like half a quantity for one person. The grill changes are no longer as frequent. Last time we were there the grill at least 4 times. Our grill was completely black and I had to ask for each grill change. The flame was also not consistent and the grill was wobbly so it was difficult to cook We had to ask for the grill to be turned up every 15 minutes. Our table as so far from our bench that I had to sit towards the very front of my bench to reach the table. The last thing was that they had this dragon show for Chinese new year which was fun but the drums were so loud and the show so long that I couldn't hear anything and my ears are ringing. In the 90 minutes that we were there the show was done two times and the loud noise alert on my Apple Watch was set off. Again nice idea but banging the drums indoors and then having guest sitting near them was just too uncomfortable. We had no way of escaping the sound since we were in the middle of our dinner. I think 3.5 stars would be fair but I would definitely come back. Had the thai tom yum first which was good, and they ran out, so for the second soup base I went with beef base, which wasn't as good. Friend went with szechuan spicy which wasn't good because it left a weird film in the mouth. I used the peanut butter sauce, gochujang, and soy sauce. These went great with everything. Shrimp would've been great but they leave the whole shell and legs on so it's very hard to eat and I don't suppose they'd be able to clean the shrimp before serving. The prime brisket was a bit tough, ribeye I think was ok, but would just stick with lamb. That was the most tender. Chicken was good also. Shrimp dumplings and gyoya were good. Quail eggs are overcooked before they arrive at the table. Lobster balls are spongy. Not crazy about those. Seaweed knots were extremely salty and unpalatable, not sure what you're meant to do with those. Pho noodles are good, just note they absorb a ton of broth and quickly become overcooked. Rice cakes are great. Enoki, beech mushrooms, broccoli are great. Ambiance is cool, they have some colorful decorations. Waiter was nice. I love that you can just order from the tablet. read more
