I came to Firesticks Grill prior to a concert recently because I figured paying one flat price for whatever I wanted was a better deal than anything I would want outside in the concession stands. Here's the deal: Price: $95 Entry: You access the restaurant by using the Premium Entry Hours: Firesticks opens at doors and closes (for concerts) about 15 minutes prior to the main act performing. Bonus: I got a $20 gift certificate for the merch table Total time inside would be about 2.5 hours. The menu changes for each event but what doesn't change is the open bar. Free beer, wine and well drinks. The other side of the bar does have more options, but it will cost you. My experience had a nacho bar which was not self-serve. It also had fried-green tomatoes, shrimp cocktail, caesar salad, pork sliders, assorted cheeses, and some mini desserts. The food overall was good, nothing that great, but it was all-you-can-eat so I tried not to be too picky. The space was large so there were plenty seats, so that wasn't an issue. I did feel like the bar was hidden in the back and wasn't easy to find at first. I found myself cleaning up after myself, which was fine, but then towards the end of the experience there was staff who did come by and try to take my empty plates away- the plates btw are those small appetizer plates. For the price, I don't really know if it's worth it to do to every time, but maybe for a special event? If someone else is paying, I'm all in every time. ALSO- make sure you buy a ticket to the actual event. You cannot access this without that. So for the event you need two tickets- 1 concert ticket and 1 ticket for the experience at Firesticks. read more

This place used to be fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Tampa where you could go before an event, lighting Hockey game. It was an upscale buffet style restaurant with Drink service. They have changed the Firestick Grill to where you order fast type food off a computer screen from three-four vendors walk up get your premade food and take it with you. It's terrible now what a shame. read more

We have been twice before lightning games. The food and service have been exceptional both trips.

Great start to a Lightning hockey game. All you can eat and the food was wonderful. Ate mostly the grilled lobster tails only drawback it gets crowded and you end up standing in a long line for it, so go as early as possible. Salads and vegetables were very good and the desserts were delicious. Season ticket members get a discount. Will definitely go back. read more

This was the worst dining experience I've had in over 20 years!!! They oversold the event, the place was packed and there were not enough chairs for everyone. It was supposed to be butler-passed hors d'oeuvres and charcuterie. The entire time I was there, I got exactly one deviled egg by the "butlers" and the charcuterie was more than half empty. We have been going to Fire Stick Grill several times a year since the first season they opened and have always enjoyed what they had to offer in both quality and quantity of food selection. This season though, the prices have gone up significantly and the quality and quantity of selections have gone down tremendously. Had the food been the same as years past, I would be fine with the price increase. But the food is honestly awful. Let me start off by mentioning this place is inside Amalie Arena. For concerts, you need a ticket to the event and a separate ticket to the firestick grill. Not sure if this is the same during Lightning games. The food was just average in my opinion. It is expensive, but when you consider the price of any food in Amalie, you definitely come out on the upside of things. So if you want to relax and get inside the arena early before the show, this is your spot. If you want better food at a lower price, eat before or after your show. read more

The food here is good, I think! Unfortunately, you will spend the majority of your time in a huge line. Unless, you want to eat your dinner backwards. Start with dessert, then salad, then entree. We waited approximately 15 minutes for the salad line. Some decent smoked fish, shrimp, spinach salad with portobellos. And 2 other nondescript salads. Then things really went downhill. The line for the entrées was ridiculous. The last item was a beautiful prime rib. But it took so long, when I sat down to eat the rest of the plate was cold and inedible. By this time, the lines are thinning, but alas, time i s ticking...The concert is starting shortly. I know they can do better. read more

The wife and I had an exquisite dinner at Firestick Grill before the Bolt's game this past Saturday. Let me say, for a buffet, the quality is spectacular. The steak was top notch and the crab legs were to die for. I also ate what was very likely the largest oyster on the half shell I have ever seen. Service was excellent as well--the drinks were kept full and the table was quickly cleared. Price per person initially seemed on the high side, but after eating the food, it was reasonable for the quality provided. To be honest, considering the prices at the game in general, eating at Firestick's before the game is a pretty good deal. The one caveat I would mention is that if you aren't a big eater, you probably won't get the best bang for your buck with a buffet like this. Hoping for a nice valentines dinner (since we were already coming to the game) and was not happy at all. The lines were all over the place. People kept cutting others off for food. The table we were placed at was right next to the wait staffs computers and so close to the table next to us. My plate was taken away early when I let the waitress know all I was doing was getting a tiny fork (for my crab legs). Overall we paid $128 with our stm discount for 2 dinners and 2 glasses of wine. So frustrated we walked away still feeling hungry. Going to a confession would have been a better experience. read more

Brought some clients here before the Lightning game and I was not disappointed. Great service and an excellent spread consisting of lobster,steak,crab legs,shrimp , a roast beef carving station and much more with an amazing desert selection as well . $60 buffet. Exceptional service BUT... the food, although the finest quality is over seasoned & heavily sauced or dry & bland, cold, and served in the smallest of portions forcing extra time to go up over and over again. Because you are there for the game you have limited time to enjoy. The beer was ice cold yet stale with a strange aftertaste. I love eating here on Game nights. The cost is a bit high, but you cannot beat the food. Prime Rib, Lobster Tails, superb fresh vegetables and raw bar are great, plus the mini desserts are terrific. I look forward to the Firestick every hockey night. read more

I have tried this place twice now before events at the Forum. March 1, was the last time. This is the most unorganized place ever. The wait staff is uninformed and the buffet is not kept up. The food is only mediocre at best. The only good thing about eating here is that you can get into your event early. Oh well it did my diet good as nothing I ate was worth consuming. If you are looking for any dessert you will get cookies that look and taste like they are out of a bag. Yuk! read more
