Had brunch here on a Sunday after running the Gasparilla 15k. I had a reservation and was seated promptly indoors with a view of the water. The place was not as busy as I expected given how many people were around for the race. They have a $38 buffet but after taking a look around, I decided to order off the menu. The potatoes were really salty but the Cuban lacked flavor. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. I would opt to try a different restaurant the next time I'm around the area for breakfast.

Checking in at Riverwalk Terrace felt like applying for a mortgage. It took multiple staff members, blank stares, and way too much effort just to acknowledge our reservation. When finally seated, they jammed us on top of a loud party while 90% of the restaurant sat empty. Asking for a different table left the host looking like we'd just asked them to solve quantum physics. If crazy staff stares and bad seating arrangements are your brunch vibe, congrats, you've found your spot! Nice decor though!

AMAZING! We had a large group and the service was timely and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast Cuban was a big hit for our group as well as the iced tiramisu coffee. We had a fresh fruit platter and the lobster benedict ... INSANELY GOOD! The view while we ate was amazing. I'm coming here every time I visit Florida.

Wonderful breakfast buffet; well worth the cost. I am not usually a "buffet" person, but everything was clean, neat, and just on point. Also made to order omelets. Can also order from the menu (we tried both options during our stay there). There was a wait the first morning, but not a wait time for subsequent visits. Nice atmosphere, great food. We had a bit of an issue with seating when we did the buffet (inside dining); we were first seated next to another party, when there were empty tables not as close. Not sure of the need to pile customers on top of each other, so to speak. In any case, we opted to move and informed the waiter, which didn't seem to be a problem. Also, each time we dined and was ready for the check, we had to ask for the pen each time to sign the tab. Not sure about the issue of customers using the waiters' pens. Next time, we'll be sure to bring our own pen (BYOP)! LOL! No big deal though. Note, there is an option for inside dining or outside dining (near the waterfront). Beautiful scenery! Overall, an enjoyable experience.

    Great waterfront view!

It was, however, our first time visiting Lameizi. Thankfully, it did not disappoint and we were all happy with our choices. Prices are about the same as other places we've tried. We all got the BBQ option, but not all of us did the Hot Pot. I can't recall if it's the same in the other places (it could be that normally everyone at the Table must choose the same style of cooking). All items were fresh and plenty of variety. The place was spacious and clean. Service was wonderful, they were very attentive. Plenty of parking.

Lots of tables + it's buffet-style, with signage to indicate whether it's for hot pot, bbq, or both. Pretty standard food selection, with a few unique offers like crawfish, fried chicken, sushi, miso soup + others I recommend (see below). Disappointing they didn't have regular eggs, only quail. Dessert options included ice cream, cakes, fruits, + sweet Chinese soupy desserts. Other notes: - individual hot pots, communal bbq - fresh ingredients - self-serve stations with gloves, napkins, claw crackers, + utensils - Drinks are slightly more expensive than other places - Self-cook BBQ, however, staff will help if you ask Would Recommend: - Shrimp paste - Crab legs - Teriyaki chicken - fried rice - spring rolls - peeled seasoned shrimp

There truly are some standout items, and when things are done well, they are really done well. I especially loved the seafood broth in the dish with corn, the broths used with the fish, and how they pair with the incredibly fresh seafood. When those elements are fresh, they are absolutely delicious and a highlight of the meal. The fresh sashimi, crab legs, and shrimp continued to live up to their reputation, as did the mushrooms, seafood dishes, fresh cucumber salad, and cabbage. These items were very fresh and made it easy to create an excellent meal. There is a lot of potential here, and many of the offerings truly are amazing. That said, I feel strongly that the buffet would benefit from fewer options done well, rather than a larger variety that isn't consistently fresh. Unfortunately, some items were clearly spoiled and should not have been served. I honestly believe that if everything were taste-tested before being put out, some of these issues could be avoided. The pickled ginger, in particular, had gone bad and so it had a strong unpleasant odor and a slimy texture. This seems like something that could easily be prevented by serving smaller portions, keeping the rest refrigerated, and checking it daily before serving. While I thought the sushi was good, it felt amiss without the pickled ginger. More disappointing for me was the fresh fruit. The oranges, honeydew, and cantaloupe all tasted off and had a bad odor and slimy texture, which is the primary reason for the 3 stars. The bubble tea however was still delicious, but I was really hoping to finish my meal with fresh fruit, and that just wasn't possible this time. I also continue to wish there were more ice cream flavor options. There is so much that is great about this place, and I truly hope management focuses on freshness and quality control so the best items can shine without being overshadowed by a few spoiled items.

Sushi was so-so just because the rice wasn't seasoned like sushi rice normally is but the fish to filling ratio was A1, the sashimi was good too. And they have a drinks station with prepared jelly teas, bottled jasmine tea. Loved that they had dragonfruit at the desserts station. The service was also fantastic. Clearing plates quickly, super attentive. Easily one of my favourite buffets I went to this year.

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday. They don't take reservations, and we walked in with a party of five. Right away I noticed none of the tables had hot pot or KBBQ setups, which confused me. Turns out this isn't traditional hot pot. You order it and it comes out already prepared in a bowl with a small gel burner underneath (bright purple/fuchsia fuel). They use way too much fuel, and the flames come out the sides. The bowls are visibly burnt, and at our table a napkin caught fire because it was too close to the flame -- not exactly comforting. This is also a buffet, which I personally don't love. There are a lot of options, but most of the food was either too salty, too bland, or after a while everything started tasting the same. Another thing that stood out was our server's attitude. It was a little too much for my liking and made it feel uncomfortable to ask for anything. I hate when service comes off that way -- especially when your job is to serve and help the table. On the plus side, the place is new, clean, and reasonably priced. If you're with friends, really hungry, and just want a quick, casual spot, it works. Just don't come in expecting a real hot pot or Korean BBQ experience, because that's not what this is.

Dinner was $23 per adult for AYCE, not bad considering both the variety and the quality of the food. The place was very busy when we arrived, but we were seated quickly. There was a large selection of fresh hot entrees, fried appetizers, sushi, seafood, desserts. Had two plates of sushi and sashimi that satisfied my sushi craving! I noticed the restaurant seemed a little understaffed. It felt like the same hardworking server was constantly moving throughout the dining room, clearing plates, cleaning spills, wiping tables, and helping guests. She remained friendly despite being stretched thin. Overall, this is one of the better buffet experiences I've had recently. Tasty food, good variety, reasonable pricing, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd absolutely recommend it, especially for families or larger groups looking for something that has a little bit of everything.

It has a wide variety of tasty Chinese food, lots of different types of sushi, and lots of different seafood options, including unlimited crab legs at dinner. Cuisine: Chinese, Fresh Sushi, Seafood (including crab legs, oysters, mussels), American, and a large dessert selection. There were 5 different kinds of shrimp and 6 different kinds of chicken that were all pretty good. Specials: Unlimited crab legs are a dinner only special. Atmosphere: Tampa China Buffet was recently renovated with a modern futuristic interior with lots of LEDs, modern gray tile floors, and modern white marble style tile on the walls that looks very nice. Service: Service staff was friendly taking drink orders and refreshing buffet foods in a timely manner. The buffet is self serve so not much service is required. Pricing has gone up and is now $17 for lunch and $23 for dinner. However, this seems to be the going rate for most buffets now and the large selection of fresh sushi alone is worth that if you're hungry. Only one third of the foods had labels so you didn't know what you were eating unless you asked someone which is especially unhelpful for the sushi. I hope management can add labels for all the foods soon. That's an easy thing to fix. There was no hibachi which was a little disappointing. There were not a lot of dessert options beyond fruit. The cheesecake was not traditional but half bread half cheese so not true traditional cheesecake and bland with no fruit topping as is typical with cheesecake. The chocolate cake had no label and turned out to be kinda a coffee flavor. The Asian plumbs had a good different flavor. If you're in the USF North Tampa area, craving Chinese, Sushi, or Seafood, and are very hungry, definitely check out Tampa China Buffet! If you're looking for a better deal with Hibachi and sushi, Asian Buffet off Bruce B Downs in Wesley Chapel area has a lunch buffet which is only $11.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, loved the esthetics. The service was exceptional! My glass was always filled and I appreciated the attention. I wasn't too fond of the hot/cold salad bar. While the selection was large, the quality wasn't there. For instance, the meat in the fried rice was overcooked. The pork belly tasted as if it was sitting there for a while. Shrimp salad had good flavor but too many shells in the salad. Roasted garlic was still crunchy/not cooked through. Few of the signs were mislabeled. The bacon covered jalapeño poppers were labeled as brown sugar bacon. That completely took me by surprise because it was quite HOT! In conclusion, I was expecting the same level of attentiveness for the food selections as I received with the service.
