I was hesitant to try this place based on reviews but so glad I did, for $22.99 for a huge buffet with a variety of options and a walkable distance from our hotel was perfect! I think some people have unrealistic expectations for certain establishments. I'll say this buffet easily ranks highest on buffets I've been. Seems well attended to and everything was great. Staff very helpful and were always somewhere to be found. I wish I knew the beers were buy one get one free as I denied another round but saw the sign as we were leaving - felt like I got cheated lol. I wish that was made more obvious as that's an unbelievable deal but is only posted on hallway - not table or anywhere else. read more

Icecream was good... mint and coffee. Otherwise... meh. "Hot" temps seem off... food was not hot, just warm. Meats were not juicy (tried ribs and a chop, also salmon). Teriyaki chicken was rubbery and cool. Didn't try 'hot' shelled seafood as temps all seemed off. Sushi/ sashimii wasn't labeled... looked fancy, but the one I did try had an off texture. Deviled egg with the sushi bar had a citric acid flavor. The green cake square was flavorful, but seemed dry/ stale. Staff was enthusiastic. Best Chinese Buffett in Tampa hands down! I have gone there twice in 1 week. Their prices are awesome; 15 dollars for lunch and 23 for dinner. With that 23 dollars, you can get crab legs, sushi, sashimi, hibachi, seafood boil and more!! Insane! Most places charge 38+ for that spread. The quality is pretty great for an all you can eat. The flavor is definitely there for almost all of their assortment. My favorite is their seafood boil - taste almost like Mr. And Mrs. Crab seasoning. The place looks modern, clean, and professional. They have their workers always ensuring the food is displayed nicely, and restocked pretty much at all times. Our service was great at pre-bussing plates. When Yum Yum Buffet first opened, it was excellent. It's been a while since I've visited and went back today after several months craving sushi. I mainly go for the fresh sushi; I was very disappointed that the all the tempura sushi was cold along with anything else in the sushi that was supposed to be fried. Also, several fried items on the buffet were not hot; I would say they were just warm. Not sure I'll go back which is a pity since I live close by. read more

Cons: manager advised my 8 yr would be charged as an adult since she is tall for her age, they charge kids based on height, wowww I've never ever heard of that before. The food does not have much flavor and I was quoted $22 but after taxes and everything it came out to 28 and then I had a coupon for 15% off, which did not expire until the 15th. I came on the 14th and she told me we're not taking the coupon today. What do you mean you're not taking the coupon expires tomorrow it didn't make no sense so I definitely will never be back. My honey and tried Yum Yum Buffet for lunch. We have heard great things and the staff delivered. First we were greeted by an energetic and helpful host. We were first seated at a long table table near a family of 3. Initially we thought it would've been better to sit together in a separate area so we can chit chat. We placed our drink order and then headed to grab our plates. As we reached for the plates the lovely host asked if we would like a booth. I was ecstatic and obliged. Maybe he read my body language and face (my face never lies). We were cool either way though, we just had a preference. He promised by the time we got our first round of yummy goodness, the booth should be ready, and it was. The lemonade was refreshing, the food was fresh, and tasty. My favorite was the lomein amd general tso chicken. There were other tasty options as well. The crab rangoons were as satisfying as I expected, it was a traditional rangoon, not that extra sweet cream cheese filling other restaurants use. Another plus for the staff is, they read body language, as I mentioned earlier. If we look around too long, they are at our table making sure we are ok, or ensuring our table is clean. On New Year's Eve, I ate at Yum Yum Buffet for the first time. One thing that inspired me to go there was a banner offering 15% off their regular price. The decor reminded me of the China Buffet on Fowler Avenue that reopened over a year ago. Yum Yum has a good sushi selection plus a Hibachi grill and other foods. The ice cream was in styrofoam containers but had a mint flavor in addition to the usual chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. The young Chinese man who refilled my water and cleared my dirty dishes was very attentive. Tom even encouraged me to get more ice cream after I got one of each flavor. Normally, I don't tip at buffets since I'm getting my own food. I made an exception here. Tom was very thankful for that. All the employees at Yum Yum Buffet seemed friendlier than at other Asian buffets I've eaten at. I'll likely return here. read more

Better than average buffet, certainly a step up from Golden corral with its clean and polished interiors, clean tables and sharply receptive servers and cooks, this buffet is already steps above the rest. The food is the usual seafood and meat staples from asian cuisine(Crab legs, chicken, beef, and even fried chicken) but what sets it apart is the inclusion of sushi and hibachi. while the ingredients are probably imitations or substitutes for the real thing, they tasted great and are presented well. since the place just opened, me and my family tried to give the place a chance. The first time we went it was nice and the food was good. The second time, which was today was honestly not great. The air felt uncomfortable and our server made us extremely uncomfortable. Not sure if it was because we were black or maybe it was something else, not sure. But the experience was awful.
