Told me I needed a few parts replaced for various reasons (corrosion, leaks, etc.) Took to two shops for second opinions as I hadn't noticed any leaks or issues, and both shops said none of the repairs were needed (no leaks and parts were in good condition.) I have been a customer of this shop now for 5 years. The staff goes over and above when it comes to service and repairs. Since most vehicles don't warn you when they are going to have an issue, I greatly appreciate that I can bring my car in 7 days a week. I understand that there are other vehicles ahead of me and that it can take time. I want them to make sure my car is done right. Pushing them to "hurry up" just shows that some individuals feel their needs are more important than someone else's. Tires,maintenance and repairs are all done correctly. When the vehicle needs something they can not manage (transmissions and specialty repairs ) they are honest in telling me and help me find the best places to get that work done. Today I brought my daughter's car in for a full assessment of the vehicle. (It's new to us). Pat spent the time necessary to discuss issues I was concerned about and to understand exactly what I was expecting. Pricing was right up front. I have never been surprised by their quotes. Last time I purchased tires they did not have a full set in the ones I had chosen and upgraded me to the set with better ratings for the same price because that is what I had agreed to. They have done quick code checks and flat repairs for free. Firestone has stood by their warranty the one and only time I needed my tires replaced when the sidewalk was punctured. I will stand behind this shop and have sent many people here. Yes car repairs are expensive wherever you go. It's part of owning a car. Be patient and reasonable and they will treat you right. seems like everytime I try to call to get an appointment, they are days out even for a simple oil change. I have used Firestone for the last 15 years with out a problem of getting in for an oil change, just in the last year I have seen the problem. I usually ask what they have available and always noon on Tuesday, I work in SE and they are in Beaverton, I always have loved the service I received from Dan but the new people they have could not even fit me in for an oil change, I guess I will have to go to Oil can Henry or something like that...thanks for nothing.... read more

These guys will not lift a finger to give your car what it needs. I had a complete suspension swap done and the last thing needed was an alignment. I brought the car in in the evening and said they could have it till tomorrow because I knew they where about to close and this was going to be a heavy and involved alignment. "Oh we are free now we can do it right now". Before I go any further. Screw you. These guys stood around stared at it and asked if anything aftermarket was done.....of course there was. They wiped there hands clean and said sorry and here I am searching yelp for a decent mechanic. Look at the first line of the summary of their business "our technicians are prepared for all your vehicles needs..." complete bullshit. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, TROUBLE AND MONEY AND JUST GO TO A LES SCHWAB! These people are scammers, and terrible at the most basic aspects of their job. We took our car in for a full inspection, as we were planning to sell it. Had an appointment, yet they didn't start on the car until over an hour later. They tried to upsell us on tires claiming the ONLY tires we could replace ours with would cost $600, which included a $160 package we'd have to buy to be able to get any maintenance for leaks/holes or rotations done (which Les Schwab does for FREE) We ended up going to Les Schwab after and got a quote for THREE different tire options that ranged from $360-$600. FIrestone also didn't put one of our hubcaps back on properly, which resulted in it falling off and getting lost on the 3-mile drive home afterwards. What was crazy about that, was that the guy who did the inspection even notated on our form that one of the hubcaps was "loose and stuff"....?!?! Ironically that wasn't even the hubcap that fell off! We've always been Les Schwab customers for as far back as we know, and only went to this Firestone at the request of the person buying our car, as it was conveniently located to them to meet. Afterwards, we got on and read all of the HORRIBLE reviews, and regretted it. Don't make the mistake we did! read more

I mean charging around $60 just to find a problem when it's staring thm right in the face. I found their service subpar and I wouldn't recommend going to Firestone. I would recommend anyone looking to get a tire fixed, oil change, anything... Find another place if possible. My fiancée ran over some glass and it speared his tire right open. I was happy to see this place was open on Sunday; we went here because it was our only option. The man running the desk is the only positive side of this place. He seems to genuinely care about the customers. We brought our car in and they said it would take 1.5 hours to check if our tire was repairable or not. We went down the street to a shopping center and came back about 1.5 hours later. The man then said that they were done checking the tire quite some time ago; they just didn't bother to call us. We had things to do on our Sunday, would've liked some notice. The cost for one tire was expected, can't complain about that. But DO expect to wait here for at least 2 hours for any service. They are extremely slow. I will not go here again. read more

I took my car in for a rotation. They called me out to the car with a problem. They said I needed a 800.00 repair and I should not drive it home. I drove it for a month before my friend could take a look. The problem had nothing to do with what Firestone had said. Low down dirty a-holes. Don't ever trust this place. I had an issue with the front end of my car making noises when I used the brakes and took it here to get it checked. They never did find anything wrong with the front end, I suspect it is an issue with the balljoints, tie rod, or shocks. Instead they said that my rear drum brakes needed to be completely replaced and that they were too worn down to machine. They also said that my brake fluid needing exchanged and it would be an extra $112.49 for that alone. The total estimate they gave me for the job was $321.66. This price seemed high so I shopped around and found that another garage would do the same work for $265. This alone was not a huge deal, but in the effort to save money I went to the other garage.They called me after looking at the car for a few minutes and said there was very little wear on the drums and that the brake shoes were still very new. (I recently inherited the car and did not know when the brakes were worked on last.) This other garage (Exhaust Specialties in Tualatin - nice folks!) did not charge me a cent!!! Firestone has done this sort of up-sell to me in the past, and so did Expert Tire before they were bought out by Firestone. They give good deals on the oil changes and maybe tires, but watch out for the up-sell! They will shake their head in all sincerity and tell you that "you oughta get this fixed in order to be safe..." DON'T FALL FOR THE SCAM read more

Had a great experience getting many things fixed on my car in Sept 2013. Tires, brakes, battery....I don't take good care of my car...I get busy! They did not try to upsell me or make me feel bad at all. I didn't feel pressured or stupid when asking for clarification. What I had fixed or replaced was what I figured needed to be done when I went there and cost about what I figured it would. I really appreciate that they always apply coupons here, even when I don't bring them in myself. I've also paid visits to some other Firestone locations, but this is the only one I'd recommend. I had my husband drop off our Montero with the Firestone guys to get its belts changed (Alternator and the works). We picked up the car and headed off outside the city almost immediately. Within a couple of miles the 'check engine' sign came on and till date has refused to go off. And the car has started making a strange rattling sound everytime we turn the AC on or change the air flow. When we went back to them they said it could not have been the belt... which we are pretty sure are the reason behind the noises and the sign. Instead of checking it for us they told us its going to be a $105 charge just to check whats wrong and repairs thereafter r going to be extra.... I think we have been royally fooled. After checking 3 places online for the best price on well reviewed tires (4 new ones for an Isuzu Trooper) Firestone was the winner. Initially, the 2.5 overall rating concerned me, but I noticed ratings had really improved lately and most of them were very good. I also liked that there were replies to both positive and negative reviews from this Firestone location as well. I made an appointment online and received a conformation by email soon after. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a quick check and confirmation of details and I sat down to wait. There is a big window so you can see the progress, if you'd like. Took in my old Camry with two specific complaints, they fixed neither, broke the bleeder valve on the caliper, didn't notice that the rear left brake shoes were put on in reverse order by someone, didn't see that the parking brake was missing a spring and had a broken part, handed me a bill for $220, and I'm guessing that I'm lucky that they didn't add a "thank you for your service" when they saw my disabled veteran license plate. There's a pretty good reason that this shop has more one-star reviews than any other level. They won't be getting any 'thank you for YOUR service' anytime soon! read more

Bought a Lifetime Alignment, as I just lifted my new 4Runner and put bigger tires on, and they did a great job on the first try. Was worried they might have problems because of the lift, but everyone did a great job, and it only took 1 hour. Looking forward to next alignment! read more

Took the vehicle in yesterday to have the rear brakes replaced. I had figured that new rotors and pads needed to be installed. The service guy took me to the bay to look at the vehicle (I figured he was going to really push for repairs at that point), and in addition to the brakes, he came up with a "laundry list" of recommended repairs totalling almost $2,000. One of their recommended repairs had been done recently so I know they didn't even look at the item. I would never expect to take a vehicle in for a routine repair and then to have them try to up-sell in this fashion. I won't be going back. read more

I went in for a routine oil change. I normally go to some quick oil change shop but my car was making a funny noise. They told me it was my breaks, and they fixed it right away for me! Told me it would be 2 hours, but got a call a little over an hour later and they were all done! So glad I chose Firestone. The workers were so nice to me, and didn't try to take advantage(I am a young female) They told me whats most important and that other issues could wait. Was Straight-Up lied to by these guys. They put a new blower motor in my truck, then said it still didn't work, and wanted to run a $129 diagnostic on top of the repair bill-should have run that first. Then they said they offered the diagnostic Before they started repairs. They didn't. And they won't refund for the bad motor. He even said that when I called them on the phone he offered a diagnostic, but I have never called them on the phone. read more

My fiance brough her 2007 Honda Accord in to get her car aligned, her car was in an accident two years ago yeah hit and run the car was only a few months old. She took her car to Kadels auto body I wouldnt recommend taking your car there they fixed her bumper but missed a few other things. Back to the storie she took her car in to get it aligned and they told her that they couldnt aligne it, she said why? Well because your rear axle knuckel is bent pretty bad, What? They showed her the damage Kadels missed oh and Les Scwab, They aligned the car before also, so big thanks for someone finally catching this!!! Went there with a problem In breaks and got a quote for whole lot of other things in engine. Cleaning fuel passage, cleaning break fluid system and what not everything has been prompted for a change, well..that is fine. Paid a whole lot of money for breaks and cleanings which are not needed, now guess what, the breaks problem remained same and god only knows what they did to others they quoted. If you go there, my advise is to get the actual problem fixed, because they have a default quote which they quote for every vehicle. They gave me a 3 month warranty on their service, but they did not have time to recheck breaks, which was the actual reason for all the mess and still remained same. read more

But from the time a person started to ring me up for windshields wipers and the time I was out the door took over 15 or 20 minutes. They've given me no reason to complain and a few reasons for praise. I've taken it in twice here for flat tires. I had previously purchased whatever guarantee gives me free repairs on road damage so it didn't cost me anything both times. They did quick inspections on the vehicle both times as well but never found any issues. Also took it here when my A/C stopped working. My refrigerant was basically gone but they couldn't find the leak so they recharged it with the dye. That service was guaranteed so if it leaked out again I could take it back and they would try again no charge. Took two more times to find the leak, again each time no charge. Turns out it was inside my dashboard. They were unfortunately not set up to handle that so they referred me to an A/C specialist. However, they said after it was fixed that I should come back to have it recharged since that was still covered under the guarantee. That's three recharges that I didn't have to pay for. Sometimes it can take quite a while to get the service done. However, I chalk that up mostly to me always going there on Saturday, during which they are extremely busy. So avoid the weekend if you can, or just be willing to wait. read more

I went in to have my Ac checked out and was charged 200.00 for a dye that was placed into my AC to see where the leak is coming from. first of all I brought my car in to have my AC fixed. I really dislike this place. I went in to get my alignment done because they were the cheapest in area and could do it same day. I made an appointment thinking my car would get worked on at the time of my appointment. Two hours pass as I'm sitting in the waiting room and finally see them pull my car in to get worked on and an hour and a half after that they're done. I later got a coupon to get my oil changed so thought hey why not maybe I hit them at a bad time. So again I made an appointment for something that should take 20 mins and waited three hours! They then told me I needed to leave my car overnight because I had a brake fluid leak that would cost $200 - shouldn't that have been checked when I got my alignment done? I said no thank you and took it to my dad where he simply tightened a screw and hey no more leak. Ugh. I will not be back. read more

I had a wheel come off my truck on 217 at 11am on a Sunday morning on my way to church. I had to take my truck somewhere and the only place the tow truck driver was aware of that was open on Sunday was the Firestone in Beaverton. I said lets go, I really didn't have any choice and of course now I am thinking they have me over a barrel. Within 24 hours they had replaced the rotor and brake pads and I was on my way (they had to order parts). Now, about 2000 miles later I can say with confidence that they not only did a good job, they did not try to up sell me or take advantage of my situation. Don't risk taking your vehicle to Firestone on 13025 Canyon Rd. Incompetent:- I took my car to have them fix a slow leak in one tire. After two hours they say the tire looks fine and it was likely caused by a weight pressing against the bead. Reposition the weight, take my money and send me on my way. Next day the tire has lost 6 psi again. Got my money back (whole other story, see next) and take it to Les Schwab. They find a nail in tire! Fixed and on my way in 20mins. When a shop that purportedly specializes in tires can't find a nail what does it say about their capability? Careless:- I took my car in without a scratch but found a big gash in the paint when I got home from the shop. Of course they say it didn't happen there. I know nothing touched my car to do that in the 10min drive home. Their abrasive store manager tells me I can either file a claim for the damage, (which they review and make a decision on themselves!) or have them look at the tire that they didn't manage to fix, but not both. I finally took a refund for the tire repair and 'promised' I wouldn't file a claim later. He apparently missed the customer service class on his way up the ranks. Protect your vehicle....go somewhere else. read more

I would not recommend these guys. I have the lifetime alignment package with them. When I went in to get a minor adjustment done to my BMW the report was as follows. Steering & Suspension: Control Arm W/Ball JT remove & replace F Control arm lower, both. Total repair $857.10. I disagreed to the service. I take my car to Pacific Motor Sports for regular maintenance, and since it was due for service in November I would bring this issue up to them. Well I got my car serviced and they specifically inspected that area for wear and tear. Their diagnosis was that it's fine and not in need of replacement. Furthermore they told me that the car is in good shape and could receive alignments without complications. They also offered to do the alignment if I was interested and I told them I would call Firestone to address the issue. I called the shop and requested to speak to the Manager. After explaining the situation he immediately became defensive, and told me I would need to bring the vehicle down so they could hoist it up and check for shaking or loose movement. I told him that it had already been shown to me, but due to my lack of knowledge in the auto mechanic field I didn't have a clue. I did mention that Pacific Motor Sports deals specifically with BMWs and Minis and that if there had been service needed to be done they would have recommended it. I even stated that they would more than likely know due to their expertise in that line of Auto manufacturing. He said he doubted that and started throwing out his mechanics certifications. I was lost and told him I would call my mechanic and ask their opinion. It was enough for me to make my conclusion. So I'm not saying they won't uphold their obligations to other customers, but for me Firestone failed to provide the service I was initially offered. I will not bring my vehicle back to them. For me they have that dreaded aura of a scamming auto repair shop. read more

Being from a family of mechanics, I know this job can be tough. No matter how tough the job is, a business should keep up with their business. We spent $4000 fixing our car, and they told us it would be done in one day. At the end of the day, no phone call. We had to call to find out it was going to be a day longer. They said the next day by mid day. Next day comes, WE call again for an update, and we are told no car until 5 pm. At 5, my husband pays $20 to take a cab to pick up our car as i stay home with 2 kids that are waiting to go get their dinner. When he gets there, he is told that it can be up to 2 more hours. WHERE WAS OUR PHONE CALL? Why must we chase after them when we are paying for a service which they are unable to properly estimate the time on? Thanks to their incompetence, I was home with 2 starving babies crying at the top of their lungs, and my husband had to sit there for 2 and a half hours!!! No attempt was made to make the situation better. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! Next time I am leaving the husband at home and dealing with these people myself and it won't be pretty. read more
