Previously had good service but the last 2 times, not so much. Took the car in because it was difficult to shift and was told there was nothing wrong. Couldn't get in Reverse without 2 hands. Took it to AAMCO and they replaced the linkage (while I watched) which was broken. Then the car was stalling, last year they replaced a censor and I thought it was probably the same thing, took it to Firestone and was told that I needed a new AC compressor for $1200 and that there was no guarantee that would fix it. Asked for a copy of the diagnoses and was told it was "on the house" but received no paperwork. Took it to Chuck's automotive and wella, it was a censor and 4 spark plugs were miss firing...for under $300, Cannot imagine I even considered replacing the compressor for over a thousand without a guarantee but I knew in my gut it wasn't the a/c. My friends and I were spending the weekend in joshua tree and salton sea and some rocks dislodged the engine guard of our car and we heard a concerning flapping noise. Firestone was the only place open on a Sunday in the area. Daniel was super friendly and professional and was even kind enough to participate in our snapchats of the detour! We were worried we would forfeit a huge chunk of our day, but turns out we were in and out in less than 30 mins! So thanks to Firestone to being open and Daniel for being awesome. I'm sorry but it's just-not-right. You spend a lot of money in a tire shop only to find when you leave that your car dashboard warning light is on because they don't know how to reset it and refer you to the dealer to reset it. Had my wife take the car to Firestone in Cathedral City today, and Gary (The Manager) informed me that they could not honor our LIFETIME WARRANTY that we purchased for alignment and balance for the car. As the Gary explained to me: the tires that I purchased 14 months ago have dry rot and need to be replaced, and if we want them to honor the warranty we need to purchase new tires so they can service them. Know when you go to this Firestone they will try to get you in the door with things like lifetime warranties, but when you need them to honor such warranty the parts and service must have been done by them NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE! Learn from our mistake, use common since, and make an astute decision on how you want to maintain your car in the long run. Also know that there are other Firestone shops around that are straight forward and honest, you just need to drive a longer distance to find them. I took a $155,000 car there to have work done. My car had NOTHING wrong with it. There was no reason for my car to leave the parking lot for ANY REASON. I dropped it off and when I came back to pick it up it had been wrecked. I didn't notice anything till I pulled out of the parking lot. The car pulled the right and shook REALLY BAD!!! The manager named ALEX/ALEXANDER (pretty sure that was his name) and an employee that drives the yellow gto that works there took my car out on there lunch break for a joy and crashed it. Again, there was no reason for my car to driven ANYWHERE!!!!! I turned around right away and came back to the shop to tell them my car was not messed up like this when I dropped it off. The manager right away said that nothing like that could have happened there at there place BEFORE HE HAD EVEN SEEN OR HEARD WHAT I WAS GOING TO TELL HIM!!!!! The wheels on one side of the car had curb rash and were also bent. I had to get the numbers for general managers and anyone ells that was above this guys that took my car and wrecked it. They do not have ANY cameras on the place that would have showed them taking my car. It was a horrible experience. NOTHING happened to the people that took my car out and crashed it. It was the store manager ALEX and a fat mexican employee that drives a yellow gto with aftermarket wheels. I would never use this place ever again. Most horrible experience I have had almost anywhere. Firestone has a HUGE LACK OF RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS AND THERE CARS!!!! The two employees that took my car and wrecked it had nothing happened to them consequences wise. They basically got to steal an expensive car and crash it and then have nothing happen to them. these guys are horrible. I went in to have a check up on my vehicle, three days later and a new ac blower, $400 bucks it was ready. Next day couldn't get my car out of park and started. Towed my vehicle into the dealer, Firestone left a huge screwdriver under my hood tat rolled and got caught under my gear shift. Additionally the new blower makes this horrible sound. Phoned Guy he swore up and down wasn't his guys, funny they are the only ones who worked on my car for the last year I have the records. I'm Taking my complaint to Corporate maybe they can help. read more

Great customer service. While price is a major factor in a tire purchase, it is service after the sale that counts ... and this place delivers. This Firestone may be part of a large chain yet it is run like a neighborhood shop. I say that as an extreme compliment. Extremely dishonest with recommending repairs, especially if you are a woman. They recommended a whole list of problems that should be addressed, however, my wife was smart enough to talk to me first, and their story changed quite a bit when I went back with her. We took the car back approximately a month after getting brake pads installed because there was either dirt in the brake pads, or they never changed the brake pads to begin with, and it was clearly making a very high pitched squeal that is associated with those two problems. After them "checking" the pads, and then denying to my face that there was a problem I took it upon myself to check, and the brake pads on one side were never changed to begin with. In a completely different incident, I had ordered tires to be shipped to and installed at another auto shop in the area (Pep Boys on Date Palm= very good and trustworthy). During the shipping process, the delivery driver from an independent shipping service delivered my tires to the wrong auto shop.... Firestone. After tracking down what had happened, I called Firestone, and got a story about how they had received tires, but not the tires that I had ordered. Pep Boys calls Firestone, and gets a similar story. The delivery driver is certain that he delivered the tires to Firestone, and after the second day has to actually go back to Firestone to retrieve the tires, and literally has an argument with Firestone about the mixup in delivery. Finally realizing that they were not going to get away with what they were trying to get away with (stealing tires), they relented and gave them to the delivery driver and they were delivered to the correct address at Pep Boys. All this is happening while we were supposed to be on the road for a vacation, and we ended up losing 2 days to this circus. Thanks to a confused delivery driver, and FIRESTONE TRYING TO STEAL TIRES!!! I have no tolerance for this garbage, and will never do business with any firestone, and especially not this one! read more

The worst Firestone that I have ever gone to... quoted me expensive tires the manager said ohh its the best price NOT true Ramona tires was 60 dollars cheaper for the same tire... the staff is condescending and some of the are rude... unprofessional there are flies in the waiting room and its just not a good place to get your tires fixed... not happy at all read more

This is a great place to do business. I took my 2001 ford ranger to get my check engine light diagnosed. They found the problem and fixed it so I could pass smog. The service manger was very friendly and explained to me what my car needed. I was very satisfied with the service. read more

i went in a few weeks to have my brakes inspected they was not making noise or anything bad have not had them inspected before and truck had 80000 miles...they should be front brakes/pads were fine and should get at least 30k left. but the back brakes needed replaced i said ok. not a few days after having them done brakes were making noise/squeaking. couple of days later i brought the truck back of course had to wait over and hr after having to wait 21/2 hr the first time. they tested drove the truck and gave me some excuse they r fine noise will go away or some bullshit.... i went to meineke down the street and the owner said right away the rotors r probally glazed and was not resurfaced at firestone(the brake service i received at firestone included resurfacing the rotors) Meineke owner said now the front brakes will wear out fast because the rear brakes are not performing correctly. So i went back to firestone to have them inspected (took another 2 hrs) even made a appointment...LOL... they got the truck up and the rack and inspected then the ruck sat there for about 30 mins. they did not tell me what was up. So i went to the 3 service advisor standing togethere (after they did not notice or say hi to 2 customers that came in and ended up leaving) I asked them what is up with my truck not much of a response not one of them went to go ask the technician, so i went and sat down for about 15 mins and finaly went to the door to the service bay where 3 of them were just bull shitting and asked them they said i need new FRONT BRAKES.... the technician that told me this was standing there he said nothing i went back and told the manager this and i said put the tires back on my truck i am going else where... HE DID NOT say anything to try to rectify the problem/situation will not be returning and not paying remaining bal for brake job that was performed on the rear brakes....meinkeke tried to re surface the rotors but could not they was warped or a better word to use is runout....uneven face... if firestone had tried to resurface them they would of had the same problem and just could of sold me new rotors. read more

DON'T waste your time or money on these CHUMPS!!!! I odered a battery from them and was told it would be in the next day. All over website and email from location said they were open till 7pm so I showed up at 6:30 right as they "closed" to be turned away. I return as they were opening the next morning to have the same guy tell me they dont have my battery and questioning if I called their location or not. The best part was I pulled out my phone and called the number I called before to end up having the phone ring right in front of me to only receive "Im Sorry" if you want to mess around and receive a dozen "I'm Sorry's" I recommend these rejects! read more

Worst, came in for oil change and alignment check ( alignment was recommended on previous visit). After check they say alignment is fine you need struts on the front, little skeptical go with it since the front does bounce after taking a bump in the road. Price just went up to over $800.00 authorize the repairs. They come back about 30 minutes later we noticed when the car brakes it shakes you need new rotors, (a little over 3 years ago I had the rear shocks and struts along with the rotors replace at another place), I don't argue just refuse to authorize the rotor job that would have added almost $300.00 to already over $800.00 repairs. I understand they were trying to upsell me I'm not mad about that, but when you arrive at 8:30am and they don't finish your car until 2:00pm a repair job that should take about 3 hours. Not once did they update me on the progress of the repairs, you sit there and watch other customers hours after you arrived come in get finished before you. You look in the bay your car is up on a rack with no one working on it. Worst customer service ever, I see a lot of reviews giving this place 5 stars what happened today to me if I could give 0 stars I would. My first experiences with this place were great, but now this place has gotten its last dollar from me. I would advise any one going there to watch out for the upsell. read more
